Mostly coffee at this point with hints of things I can't quite identify. I think they'll go 10-11 weeks so yield may turn out to be decent. I don't much care as I just grow it to smoke it & to give it away. The diversity of modern cannabis is really interesting & this stuff is def different. I'll put up more pics at harvest.

I think I'll grow Santa Maria from No Mercy next. The seeds were hard to find & I don't want to let 'em get too old...

i bet they could go longer than 11.... im sure you will know best when the time comes...
you ever consider keepng a male around and doing a pollination to cross breed some of those lines or inbreed them?
i just notice all the awesome rare variety you have been growing for the past few years.

I figured I could readily get more of QM, so when 12 seeds gave 6 females, our quota, the males went bye-bye. I have lots of seeds from Centennial's Rio Negro Colombian & some from No Mercy's Double Fun to which you are welcome when you get over my way. I think I'll try to reproduce the Santa Maria if everything goes well.

I just don't have the space to do any sort of proper breeding & selection other than to try to reproduce true breeding lines.

The Rio Negro is only second generation from the field so it's pretty raw with some hermi tendencies.

Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!

I discovered a russet mite infestation in my room. They look like pink/tan fuzz on growing leaf tips. I took the infested plant and sprayed it with safers End All & set it down to eat dinner. After I was finished w dinner I grabbed some tweezers, scissors & a microscope. Cut a tip off and looked at it & those fuckers were doing End All shots at the End All bar just having a joyous time.

Needless to say, that plant was tossed into the fireplace. I don’t think those fuckers will survive that shit!

Now I’ve got to inspect 2 more small plants this morning. They don’t appear to be infested yet but that doesn’t mean they’re not infected!

Damn this is frustrating!

Damn bro that sucks. I had root aphid's back in May I had cracked my window open to let in some fresh air and they infested my room. after that I tried for 2 months to kill them but never could completely get them all.

I had to spray my mother's with IGR chemicals, take cuttings off them leave at a friend's place reveged the cuttings there for 6 weeks, threw away all my pots, coco treated the whole house with IGR, and contact killers. Brought them back and haven't seen a single bug crawl across my floor since.

*whistle* Damn. Get some pred mites. I've been using a variety of them to avoid overspraying and they've worked wonders. There's a garden site in the springs that sells a variety for very cheap if you haven't found them already. (Overnight chill-paks of course...)

hydro-gardens.com

Also have used pred-mites from another company but the name escapes me right now. I'll check the label next time I'm around.

Otherwise- regular doses of Smite at bottle rate have done well. And by regular, I mean twice a week but in flower- this can be a bit much for some.

I cut the other two plants down this morning.

They didn’t have signs but I’m taking this time to get my room & house cleaned up.

Aphids love coco. Try clay pebbles Coloradans
The place I work uses coco and has aphids, but they think spraying pesticides will work.

I spoke to a few people and have heard bugs have been bad 'round chere lately.

I use neem seed meal, nematodes, and other OMRI shit, but have used str8 GASOLINE on mites down South.

Good luck.

I'd be more suspicious of any clones that were recently introduced.

From my mite mishaps....reusing soil and taking in plants as mentioned were my downfall.
Along with the coco I used to mulch my pots was the perfect medium for those fuckers.

The horror stories about dealing with the battle hardened stowaway nasties of cannabis farming convinced me long ago that growing from seed was probably a good choice for me & my little pissant grow. I'll never grow any "elites" but I really don't care. In 5 years of growing I had thrips once long ago (easy to kill). I get fungus gnats all the time but keep 'em beat down nicely with applications of gnatrol when I notice them at all. I'll never eradicate them but I don't need to, either, as they're not really destructive unless they get out of hand. I let that happen once a few years back before I discovered gnatrol. Good shit, Maynard. Really good shit.
