i dont fallow the elev8 thing? it was pack of dj shorts flo reg seeds hence the male. i thought i specified it was dj shorts flo at one point but i could be wrong. im just looking for tips on what to look for.

Its a "seed company" with a tendency to steal random forum pics to misrepresent their genetics.
Famous for their "Gorilla Glue 4 regular seed" when no such thing was available... in the end it turned out that their "breeder" got a pack of GG4 S1's from a HTCC and just called em regular seeds.
Its not a dig at you... its a dig at these mislabeled seeds everywhere.

And it isn't just misrepresented gen tics, but most of the so called seed dealers here are delivering very poor genetic drifted strains that are not really viable.
In this pic you will see a very crazed plant, 2 stunted and one male. All are Purple laughing grass from a local "seed" producer...Keep in mind this 4 is all i got to pop from 15 seeds. We have no reliable seed sources here. Even my own are not great.

Dispensaries ( or people working at them) have been selling branded seeds for a long while. Some are legit, I'm sure, & others not so much. American seedmakers apparently work out all kinds of deals with all kinds of people.

ur right, now im kinda thrown off because i assumed since they were being sold in shop they must of atleast been produced in state, im not up to date about whos doing what but i rember reading something about how dj isnt working his lines but his son has some work going on in oregon or washington.

now i get that elev8 joke i just assumed with how the state regulates they must have been authentic. or possible resale from the htcc.
i always read about how you guys warn of fakes/misrepresntations but have never quite encountered that. (probly have more then i realize)

thats what ive been reading, and why i thought it might be a good idea just to make my own. im pretty young and still have alot to learn about the stream im navagiting down.

any and all advice coming from any of you is great appreciated im kinda on my own when it comes to growing so i really appreciate feeling like i have an experinced community i can turn to for advise.

if I were looking for a flo male in seedstock i would look for a male with lots of lateral branching, stinky stem rub, and was easy to clone.
on the other hand
if i had flo seedstock that i felt GOOD about (the females seemed very flo-y) i might use 2 or more males and do an open pollination to get MORE genetic diversity from the mix, get MORE seeds to search thru on the next generation.... THEN try to pick a real keeper male from that NEXT generation (f2 for u, who knows what it actually is).

Seeds are slowly showing up at some dispensaries around the D.
From what I have seen there's not much that tickles me fancy being a weed nerd.
Saw one company used Gupta Haze to breed with.....no thanks.

This is why I started making seeds... at least I know where they come from.
I've been quite excited about this upcoming batch although I've had some setbacks, I left the kitchen windows open and found snow on my male plants... they stopped producing and one threw a couple hairs. What got hit, got hit. There will not be a second shot but I'll get what I need from the looks of it. Few more weeks and I'll be cleaning out some genetics to make room.

What i need are 2 good clones that are mostly Sativa. Everything i have is looking Indica...Even my NYCD mix??? Those are supposed to be 60-40 Sativa. I wonder if the cold temps change them up sometimes.

Environment def changes genetic expression. I've yet to ever grow an indica that couch locks, including land races and totally attribute it to environment. Runnin a fuller spectrum with lower light timing makes all my hybrid plants express their Sativa side.
And I've never had a complaint from anyone growin my beans and would be happy to share a clone of my Holy Fuck wit ya. This is what Afghan King had to say about it (posted in his journal at RIU),,,,,,,

I was digging around in a drawer at work yesterday and I found original unopened packs of Rare Dankness (strain), Harlox and Midas. Flipped my lid for a second and then threw them in the fridge. I found the owner of the seeds and they told me they had been sitting in drawers for over a year (!!!)
I wish Tierra Rojo was still active here. I'd hung out with him a couple times some years back and he was very cool with me. Would love to see a CO based Rojo Seed company or some such shit again. Or a Grindhouse revival.

If I can remember it's Space Queen in the mix with GSC Thin Mint too.
He used at least 1 TGA strain in the 2 crosses I got and DJ's Flo.
Do remember he did you use 3 in the crosses, but can't remember exactly what.
Acquired this strain a few years back in WA and burned the trail of emails.
As for a million cookie crooses.........I have about half of them.
