S4vvy, I keep the 600s about 10" from plant tops. These Daystar AC reflectors are good at throwing light sideways... everything left and right of the bulb gets big.
Dankers, you hit the nail on the head. The Hindu Kush x Skunk #1 hybrid is a workhorse. This is actually the 3rd Skunk/Kush hybrid I have run, I am really into these funky skunky hindu hybrids... they taste and smell so great, and they yeild very well.
meduser, glad the reports have helped you out! I like many things about the odyssey, they way she grows and the denseness of her nugs.... her short short flower time, but she just doesn't have enough flavor or potency to stack up with the other ladies... too bad, cuz she has some things down nice. Bummer about the PK, I didn't make a mother so no heartburn really.. just wish I could get some purple in a reasonable indica fashion
Dimebag, hey man thanks for the kind words and for sticking it though... there will be at least two more updates at chop time(s). Taking the tables and the organics next week, and the E&G a week after that. This will be nice to have a somewhat staggered harvest so I can get things cleaned up in a somewhat less of a hurried fashion.. normally I am cleaning clipping scrubbing planting tuning and running around like a madman at harvest time....which I still will be, but to a slightly lesser extent! hehe
haha pico, yeah! Co2 is a lot of troubble, beucase you definatly need to use a dehum and an AC, and the room has to be sealed. Sealing this room s near impossible, it's swiss cheese... So, I was always buirning way more NG to keep the co2 stable than I should have been burning. This lead to higher temps, and more humidity.. which lead to a need for full time AC and full time Dehumidification. In the end, I think I break even with the power costs. $.40 per KWH is no joke dude, I am sure you know this... So, the buds look just as good if not better from my previous 2 co2 runs. I really can't justify it until winter, when I may actually want some more heat. We'll see!

Wow Nept.....Gone for a few days , missed the major update and I can definitely see why you hold a special place for that Salmon Creek bitch of yours.........I said earlier in the thread that this was gonna be one of your personal best harvests cuz they were fattenin up so fast......Those Hindu Skunks are gonna be off the hook ...Hell they all look delicious you bastard.....My ebb and flow buckets run themselves with an r/o filter hooked up to a float valve in the main rez for top-offs.....Dialed in there`s not another system even close to being so simple and maintenance free with the yields to boot as far as automated hydro systems go....I told yas you`d like em.........One thing I definitely agree with is gettin rid of a strain if it won`t start purplin up by the 4th week of flower cuz if it doesnt it`s not strain dependent it`s weather dependent from cold temps and those are 2 different animals but to have to wait 10-11 weeks to pull em for ANY color out of their ass?.......Not.........Or you`ve just flat got hold of the wrong pheno`s that aren`t worth the time as you said......My buddy cross da pond`s black russian`s and a couple of the hybrids he`s bred are like deep purple in the 5th week of flower and finish at 9 weeks almost nasty lookin .....I`ve never seen as dark purple buds with lime green finish leaves hangin out of colas before.......I can get ALL my plants to purple to certain degrees in the last 2 weeks of flower by turnin down my portable a/c as low as it`ll go during lights off and leaving intake and exhausts off with the dehuey in overdrive lights on.....Yield suffers minimally but the end result demands by far more in the marketplace due to way more resin production due to extreme temp differences day and night and the killoff of a bunch of chlorophyll before the chop which is a good thing that turns their color from green to lavender ,to darker wine-ish if they can wait longer to finish with the temp swings........Lookin Killer over there my buddy.....Great work Nept.....I can`t wait for the chop reviews.........peace.........DHF......
