what do you all think about growing outdoors? Think its doable next spring even in the drought? Never grown outdoors so have no idea how hard it would be in the clay and no water.

Well... Maybe this Spring,, IF WE can get some RAIN!...

Check the Farmer's Almanac for your area. Southeast in general is supposed to get more rain this summer then "average", despite it also being hotter than normal, and a warmer spring. So basically, if the Almanac is right, it's gonna be hot like last year, but with enough rain to balance it out.

I dont know about that. We are in a SERIOUS drought and the local reports dont look promising for next summer.

Growing outdoors here is a lot of work. It requires too many trips and a constant water source near your plants. I usually bring in a bunch of perlite and soil and try and only do 4 -6 trees, or 3 small patches with 3 plants each. Find a strain that is mold resistant and will get 6-8 feet if doing trees. I had some sweet tooth #3 crosses that did just that. Yeah the clay in this area suckkssss. It is rock freaking hard. I have seen some people grow in huge rubbermaid containers, you can paint them, but it flakes off after a season or so, and they stick out like a sore thumb regardless. But if someone was within 30 feet they would probably recognize the plant anyway.

This is what I`m working with.Using Blazeoneup`s soil mix under 1000watt on a mover.18 plants,they consist of Sweet tooth(not sure genetics,got as a clone),serious seeds chronic,durban poison X skunk cross(thanks Nirvana),and a few paradise seeds sensi star.

Thought about it for a while (setting up a grow room)........ Yep Im gonna do it! Been having a lot of problems lately with my health. This is do to hard livin' and stupidity. Anyhoo, cleaned out a closet in my home this week, and have been scrounging lights and pots and other mat. due to being really broke, in the process of awaiting disability benefits. I will be posting pics as soon as i get the grow room setup. And well trying to find good beans/genetics is like trying to find the holy grail around this town. Mostly "beaster bud", low 2 mid grade swag, and what is known as "mexican rag". And I dont have the funds to buy good seeds. So I ll have to work with what I have, bagseed. Its been a long time since my last grow, I was 21 then, now Im 35. And alot has changed since the early 90's, as well as staying the same.So Ill be asking for everybodies help when needed, if yall are willing to give it. Ill be running two 23 watt helical cfl's and one 42 watt helical cfl, it wont be big grow possibly 2 plants to get my feet wet again. Its good to see more and more SC's coming into this thread. Hopefully some new friendships can be forged. With the same purpose in mind and that being to OVER GROW THE WORLD! Well back to work wish me luck! I know I will need it!

In My general AO, were @ around a 2 FOOT deficet... Places north and west are even in worse situations, like were talking your normal farm ponds/creeks drying up too a trickle or a mudhole.....

For ex-sample the triangle area of Our state, they are talking days before running out of water if We don't see any significant rainfall....
Otherwise any trees are going too stick out like sore thumbs.. :puppydoge
