B/country, if i ever come to US, i'll defenetly have to visit Oregon. Great nature!
Pipeline, i see that you have excellent taste for shrooms. There's very tasty Morchellas on your 7th picture.
Tonight we had a partial eclypse of the Moon, here in Serbia. It was only 1/5th of the Moon surface and i thought it's gonna be some opportunity to take a good picture, but the results were dissapointing (it looked like a some minor cloud over the Moon). However, i took a picture of the full Moon.
Thanks, Tripco. Around here we call those Morel mushrooms or sponge mushrooms. Only come once a year, but mmmmmm. Still a decent shot of the moon i think.
They're comin, just upgraded from a 10 gal to a 20 gal, the tank needs some time to get its bacterial populations and water quality balanced before fish can be added. I probably could now though, and actually looked at some to buy this week. All those colorful things are animals, they're just sessile invertibrates. There's also a bunch of snails and crabs.
wow such pretty pictures you guys, thanks for sharing them...the spider pics scare me and they make my toes curl!!....cant believe that kitty was playing with a spider!..ohhh my!.... but other then that there great, love the dbl rainbow and the moon shot
a lot of these pix are amazing- what kinda camera specs you guys have? i use an old 2.1mgpx, but sometimes i use the 5.1 (my buddy's) which takes pretty good shots-
Great shots there Bong and polak! Thats my buddy pete, he's having his fun with a local cicaida/locust. They're fun, but i've heard they can stick their sucking mouthpart into you and it can hurt pretty good!
I'm in the midwest, ohio valley. Corn Belt Plaza. A few more delectible shots of nature.
Shroom time's defenetly in Serbia too (besides some summertime species, like the Sun shroom on pipelines pics), but, more than that, it's the main hard liquor time (like schnaps and brandy). Most of schnaps and brandy in my region comes from grapes and plums (but also from peaches). Personaly, i brew schnaps from grapes and figs. Usualy, fig harvest time in south Serbia is july and (mainly) august. The result of last two unusualy very harsh winters (down to -17-16C, 2F) here, is very late fig harvest - early september. Here they are. On the second pic you can see the 'fig honey', the drop of sugary juice from inside the fruit.
BtW, i take pics with Yakumo MegaImage 410, 4,1 Mpix (realy 3,98), 8x optical zoom.
P.S. Polak, if i'm not gettin' wrong, literal translation from polish for A.muscaria (exact one is, sure, Fly Agar) is a "Red Fly Killer". Am i wrong? (I'm just testing my understanding of slavic languages)
