I tried printing simpler activated carbon filter desing but for some reason it is 1,878453038674033149171270718232 times to low. I made file 1,878453038674033149171270718232 times higher. Maybe it will print correctly now. Holes I mentioned before will not influence working of filter so I dont try to do anything to them.

Now I must wait estimated 7 hours 25 minutes and 25 seconds for second print to finish.

Good to see so many interested in my build. Hope you all enjoy it.

these are noisy I went with the 1500rpm one and its regulated to around 1000rpm its ok for winter temps so far.
cant wait to see more pics of that filter and more info on it how it works etc.

How many watts of light you have and how big is your grow box?

Filter works like any regular activated carbon filter. I need to install screens to hold activated carbon and then just suck air trough it. I designed screen and was going to print it but fillament snapped and got stuck inside printer. To fix this I need to take hotend apart. I am feeling bit layzy and dont feel like taking hotend apart second time this week. So I am going to buy plastic pot which I will transform to activated carbon filter. This will be only shot-term fix. Later I will print activated carnon filter I designed. I am also going to buy plastic angle profile from which I will build louver out of.

I also had more problems with print quality. This time print became brittle and full of holes as you can see in picture bellow.
This was probably pecause of too low printing temperature. I need to calibrate my printer to fit this blue fillament before I continue.

I did more cleaning. This time I cleaned all the remaining parts. Got layzy cleaning the roof and did not want to breath more xylene so it is not as nice as the wall.

Went shopping again yesterday. I think price of one pc will rice to 200€.

I bought plastic L profile, glue/sealant, metal screen and plastic pot.
Here is how I tried to make working activated carbon filter and failed.

Here is all the stuff needed.

Step 1. Make a line.

Step 2. Cut. (I used soldering iron)

Step 3. Cut again.

Step 4. Make cylinder out of metal screen.

Step 5. Fit screens in place.

Step 6. Apply glue.

Step 7. Insert activated carbon.

As you can see there is big holes in layer of activated carbon so I did give up with this design.

Some of the stuff I ordered did arive. I also canceled orded of glue/sealant, led lights and extension cords because one of items was out of stock and I dont want to wait too long for them. I will go to hardware store and buy lights and extension cords straight from there.

I did some fighting with my 3d printer drying to get it working. Now the nozzle is clogged again and fillament keeps slipping. I need to take it apart again. I did use candle to heat hot end and it did not like it too much. Next time I am little more careful.

I also cut the upper louver parts out of L profile. Still need to cut lower one.

These will be painted black and then glued together.

Looking good there. I love the ScrubNinja louvers in a PC case. They work great. I found they require a bit of black cloth as both a filter and to block the last of the light.

Your design for the carbon filter is sound, but you are missing the women's leggings to hold in the carbon. I made something almost identical here.

Watching this build makes me miss running my PC. I'm enjoying the show. :lurk:

Thanks for the tip. That is nice desing maybe I try to make something similar to other case.

Great little set up!
Good luck!
Thank you!

I did take 3d printers hot end apart again, smoke some weed and put it back together. Now it is working. :dance013:
I did some test prints and I think it is good enough.

Left is second try right is first. Left one got bend little because it was stuck to heated bed realy hard.

I also designed light holder. It is 2,6165644mm too wide for some reason. I must fix it. I also made wall mount to high for my printer so I need to fix that too.

There will be 2 of left pieces joined together and then connected to wall with right piece.

I am now printing activated carbon filter again. Hopefully this time it is right size.

I found another Antec 300 case online. This time for 45€. I realy like the design. It is very easy to make grow box out of unlike the Acer case I got. I think I will buy it and throw acer case away.
I want to do side by side with 3x 20w vs 6x 10w led bulps. Having 2 exactly same grow boxes would make this easier.

Designed this piece to fit on top of hole over louvers.

Fixed light holder file. I forgot to update things to do list and total cost so here they are.

Things to do:

Buy:
-timers
-LED lights
-extension cords
-L profile 1710cm
Desing and build:
-covers for holes (only building left)
-activated carbon filter (only building left)
-light holder (only building left)
Instal:
-covers for holes
-plastic for walls
-fan
-activated carbon filter
-lights

Money spent: 271,96€

I added to money spent 32,30€ which came from last shopping trip for metal screen, plastic pot, L profile, glue/sealant. Subtracted 59,15€ because I get them back from canceled order. Need to go and buy items from canceled order which I will do next monday or tuesday. I will also buy more L profile because I bought too litle last time. I need 3 times as much as I bought last time which was 540cm.

This is what carbon filter looks like when installed inside the case.
