Lookin good out there... they gonna finish up though? look kinda young for mid september...

I'm not sure a lot will depend on when the damp, foggy nights become the norm. Right now we're still getting warm days. They should finish in about 4 weeks and it could happen.

I always thought that clawing was excessive nitrogen and not enough calcium.I think some plants exhibit it and some don't because different cultivars like different things. I've never had though so idk!!

I've read that information too but I just don't know. I think it is possible that some cultivars have different nutritional needs and this could cause the clawing. As long as I'm getting good bud development I really am not concerned about clawing fan leaves. I toss them when I trim the plants.

Can you do the reverse now, Out than in? Can't tell if they're in pots.

All my outdoor girls are in pots so I can spin them 1/4 turn each day. Last year I put some in the ground and it made the side facing the sun grow nice but the side away from the sun was stunted. So this year all are in pots. I can't take them inside because I have my cellar going with tweeners, teenagers and ladies and there is no way I can fit them into the rotation.

I thought I would show my ladies that are 8 weeks today. I'm going to let them go another week, maybe 2. Before I show you the whole flower area with the 4 ladies I want to show you my Old Goblin. This is the best structured plant that I have grown. I'm into the tall main cola with the secondary branches showing the same stretching colas. This is a cross between Sanctuary Gardens' Goblin Queen and open pollination with either MTV or Eminem.

In flower area 1 is where Old Goblin is but here are the other 3 ladies. The one in the front is Goblin Girl and the two in the back are Goblin Queen.

The second flower area contains in the front row on the right Purple Star and on the left 3Elders. In the back on the right is Blueberry (I've pollinated her) and on the left is Nocturnal.

Here is a possibly new cultivar for my cellar. This is from some breeding done by CC. Apparently the seeds were popped by someone else and this one turned out to be a keeper. I ran her outdoors with a very short veg time so she isn't very big. I've got a clone of her and will wait and see how the indoor run turns out.

McKush - no the teenager area is exactly the same. The plants are getting a little bigger than what I normally do because I'm finishing the outdoor girls in the ladies area and T5 area for pheno hunting.

I have been busy having fun. I got laid off from work in May and doing projects around the house most of the summer. You're right that I've been hiking and climbing mountains. Two weeks ago I was playing in a pool tournament for the whole week. When I came home last Sunday I've been trimming and harvesting my outdoor girls and indoor girls. With harvest I have to do moving and transplanting of my girls. So this week has been very busy with the cellar girls. I've got most of that done now and only need to finish harvest my vermicompost. I've got about 7-10 gallons left to screen.

I realize I haven't been doing much in the way of photo dumps of the cellar girls. This is because I really don't have anything new to show. I've documented my grows so it gets a little redundant showing the same clones going through the same stages.

My current stable is Goblin Queen, Goblin Girl, The One, Blue Orca, 3M, 3Elders, Nocturnal and Gooey with Coot's Grail as a possible replacement. Anyway I'll give bud shots because everyone loves to look at buds including me. This week I just finished moving and transplanting the girls and this is what I have going right now.

nice stable tho!

I've been struggling again with the basics - germination. got 2 starts for 12 and they are regs so who knows if i can keep them. throwing money out the window and its frustrating.

only thing i can think of is temps (maybe?) some of them are cracking and then not continuing to elongate. i don't get it. I went back to sowing in root riots like my run last year which was so successful, but not getting the same results with or without a 24hr soak. tried ziplock bag and towels too without success.

got the FR cleared out now, chopped three plants due to root rot (me thinks) and now it is empty so going to do some work on the ventilation and then raise the roof of my VR and install a new fixture. gotta relocate a drying cab i just built also for the FR exhaust port I need to cut. Been at this project for a week due to the time it takes me to do things. can't put a ladder in the room until it is dark outside and all that crap.

finally turned off the AC and had to put a oil filled heater in the LR last night, temps are dropping fast.

oh, happy halloween Paka. I'm dressing up and pretending to be a grower... lol ;)

peace

what's coots grail? sounds like you had a good summer pak!

This is something that CC worked on years ago with the Zazen line of seeds he had. I was lucky to be gifted a clone of it. It is comparable with The One and Blue Orca as far as quality.

My summer was very productive in all areas. I got laid off in May and was able to complete many outdoor projects (not herb related). I did many hikes into the Cascades and am still eating out of my vegetable garden. The most enjoyable summer I've had in a long time. Not working is the best.

Sorry to hear of your struggles but we all have that happen.

Here is how I do my seedlings. First and foremost I use ProMix because it is sterilized and designed to be used in the nursery industry to start seeds and cuttings. I experimented with making my own germination soil but went back to ProMix.

I don't soak my seeds before just planting them into my 12 ounce clear cups. I put the clear cups in a plastic tray and put a humidity dome over the top. The dome isn't to keep the moisture in (it does that) but to keep the fungus gnats away from exposed soil. I don't have any fungus gnats because of it.

With the dome I only have to water the cups about once a week. One of the most important things is not to over water them. When I start seeds I only fill the cup up about half way. Seedlings seem to always want to stretch so as the get taller I back fill the cup to give them support.

Wow, you're back to remodeling your room. I remember how much time you put into making that room. Improving it will only make growing better.

I love seeing everything thats
new, the flowers made from
purple star look chunky, Ive
yet to pop that variety but
its on my top 3 go-to seeds
when the time finally comes.

Im in lake ******* right now
and have been spending time
out here frequently, starting
a few new ball python projects
while progressing with current
ones this breeding season...

I found catpiss and chemwreck
in ********* and can't wait to
run them, ive been after catpiss
for a long time! My cell remains
the same as last time, working
towards 50 posts...over a mobile
phone. Posting on cellphones is
almost as awkward as i am, but
am getting a hang of cell-posting
with the past two updates ive typed.

Are you going to be around Oly
and or mason county sometime?

I'm in the ******* area and not down south. I've been doing a lot of hiking lately but with the first snow in the mountains I going to have to stick to the lower elevation hills for my hikes.

I've never heard of catpiss. Is it something that has been around the PNW for a while?

What a difference 13 days make. All the teenagers are filling out and the canopy is evening out. They will be in here for at least 6 more weeks.

So once they are teenage u veg for about 8 weeks or 56 days. How old on average to get to teenage?

Here is a run down of my average times to transplanting and finally flipping my girls.

From the time I take a cutting it is about 2-3 weeks before I start seeing roots but it has taken about 8 weeks on occasion. My goal is to get 2 viable clones for each of my 8 cultivars. I use one for growing and the other for taking cuttings off off.

I transplant into 4" square pots once I get roots. I don't top dress my 4" pots with EWC but I do sprinkle some neem cake and cover them with timothy hay. The clones stay in the 4" pots for about a month.

My next transplant is into gallon pots. It's at this point that I start top dressing with EWC before I sprinkle on the neem cake and cover with timothy hay. From here on they all get top dressed, neem cake and hay.

After about a month I transplant out of the gallon pots into 2 gallon pots. This is when I start tying them down to bend the main stem over. This will cause those lower branches to get more light and this is what levels off my canopy.

Then a month later or sometimes 3 weeks I move them to 5 gallon pots and continue to tie them down. It takes another month in the 5 gallon pots before I flip them to 11 on and 13 off.

So from the time I take a cutting until I flip them it takes about 5 months. So the veg time is around 4 1/2 months before going to flower.

Hey pakolo, looking good man! I'm right up *** from you, nice weather huh? Lol anyways I was wondering if you could tell me more about blue orca? Somebody mentioned in another thread that she was very trippy with no ceiling, like lsd almost. Have you found these characteristics in your pheno?
