I've been playing with the variegated Goblin Girl for over a year now. I posted about her in my journal and there has been many discussions about choosing the branches you cut carefully. I found that you can take her too far into the yellow. I've noticed that the yellow buds aren't as fat as the green ones.

One thing I haven't know is whether the variegation can be passed through to her children. This last seed run one of the mothers was the variegated Goblin Girl. I crossed her with both MTV and Eminem. I decided to pop 3 seeds of variegated Goblin Girl x MTV. 1 seed has popped and this is what I have.

She looks a little like her mother as a baby.

Those Goblins got their name from the mutation in the cultivar. It does get passed through. The nice thing is that with selective cloning you can straighten those mutations out of the plant. That's what I did for Goblin Specter mother.

Haven't had any variegated leafs but have had some of GQ's twisty leaf mutations come thru.

Your variegated leaves are impressive! I like the yellow, my strawberry cough makes me think about your goblin girls every time I see it:

Welcome Shooters, I like the variegated Goblin Girl to look at. It's very cool.

Variegated Goblin Girl is more of a novelty then a practical plant to grow. The yellow in the leaves don't seem to be very efficient at photosynthesis and the buds suffer from it. This picture isn't the best but I rooted this clone on June 29 and after 8 months I harvested her. You can see that the yellow buds aren't very big compared to the one to the left and behind on the same plant.

Theyre nice to look at though...

You know that. It's the only reason I keep it around. They're beautiful until they flower. Those yellow buds just aren't as pretty. Now that I found they pass this trait on through the seeds I may just let her go. Depends on what I find in the pheno hunt. I can only have 8 keeper cultivars and that's what I've got right now. I'm waiting to see the quality of Northern Lights #5 and Blueberry. The NL5 is throwing some fat buds already. That's what I remember from the 90's when I had her sister in my cellar.

I took her to day 54ish.....foxtails from day 1 of flowering. Not entriely eye pleasing, but the smell is freakin wonderful. Sweet, pungent, fruity. Easy to trim as well, not very leafy.

8 week mark for me will be June 15th ( that's from signals of flowering, add two weeks for "from flip" for total 11hr on/13hr off time)

Goblin Specter #3 is the best smelling gal in there. She smells of fruity-grapey stoney f-yeah-ness!!! Purple Star #3 is the 2nd runner up in the category. Others are just a subtle chemmy-earthy funk.

Juggling everything is fun... Getting ready to plant my summer ladies out this weekend. Got cuts of all these awesome strains from PAK that are going, will do a mini run outdoor with any non-keepers during the summer.

Mini-run = smaller plants in 1 or 2 gallon pots planted into the ground 1/2 way. I run em like a SOG but with a better grow light....el Sol. esta es mi amigo.

IDK...does the sun embody the male or female? Both? Trying to identify all my lizard blood & transition to a more floral nature. DOn't want to go the way of the dinosaurs.

no i'm not stoned....yet...off to the work bench!

My next seed mothers are coming along nicely. These mothers are moving into the 5th week since flipping them to 11 on and 13 off. I can see seeds already forming.

Do you just do one pass on flowering or do you pollenate a couple times?

Your seeds that I have seen have been very well formed in both structure and size.

Started my summer pollen collection. Lots of candidates. Few will make the cut.

Sweet, I personally don't mind foxtails because I don't need bag appeal smoking it myself. What I like about it is more bud forming on buds. Looking forward to the smoke report.

My pheno run hits 8 weeks since the flip on May 23. They're not a big as under my 1000W. I've run the whole lot under T5s. I think they are going to have to go longer than 8 weeks.

I only pollinate once around 2 1/2 weeks.

Selecting the male is very important. I'm fortunate enough to have good males.

Not all my pheno hunt ladies are doing good. I've got some of that Goblin mutations coming through. I know I can fix it by cloning a branch without the mutation but I'm not going to bother. What I am seeing is a resistance to PM and I love that.

Old Goblin?

I think your lizard is a type of alligator lizard. Have a lot around my place.

I haven't seen the lizard in a few days but the last time I saw it the tail was growing back.

Today is the Monday night league 9 ball tournament so I'll be busy for today and if I play well into tomorrow. Before I leave I want to give a little update.

I have a Purple Star that is showing some of the mother's color (Neon Purps) in the flower. Here is a picture of her at 50 days under a T5 light. I have a clone of her in a gallon container that I'm going to move to the tweeners area. She is also showing no PM so she may be a keeper.

I have an Old Goblin that has carried over the wonderful grape smell from her mother, Goblin Queen. She shows some PM though but it is good to know that the grape smell is passed through to the seeds.
