It's been a busy day. I turned all my soil in the garbage cans and moistened them with an ACT. The leftover ACT got put on the teenagers and the ladies. I dry trimmed 2 more of my mother seed plants. I watered the teenagers and ladies with an enzyme tea. I haven't done that in a while because of my fight with PM. Finally I harvested seeds from my variegated Goblin Girl.

The purp * #2 & 3E #4 are keeping it tight!!! Looks awesome.

Beans are a staple of many diets, glad to see you got your spoon next to your double helping! YAY beans. What's the likelihood of seeing some variegated GQ in the crosses?

From how I understand it, if cloning are variegated girl the variegation will carry over more strongly only if the cutting itself is quite variegated. I wonder if the same is true of the seeds, that only the variegated flowers will produce the strongest variegation in the seedstock.

Well all mine are light depping it, so time will tell. Flipped them at 12-14", see how far they stretch.

All are hollow stemmed and easy going so far. Hungry girls, gobbling food up.

Lookin good my friend.

Thanks my friend. I'm going to be harvesting more seeds this week. I've got the variegated Goblin Girl, 3M, Pimp Daddy #1 & #5, and Gooey.

I like the looks of most of the pheno hunt plants. The spoon is what I use to collect pollen off Eminem and MTV. I'm just about done for this round.

Very nice!

Thanks.

The more variegation in the branch the more will be expressed in the clone. I find that taking a branch with some variegation is the best. I don't know about seeds though. I do have some seeds from this last variegated Goblin Girl. I won't pop them for a while but I will get around to them. It looks like I'll do about 3 pheno hunts a year.

Glad to hear that it is going well. Do you have the two characteristics in those girls? I'm wondering how much the tall, lanky one will stretch. I'm hoping she fills out with buds but I'm running T5s so they aren't getting the best light.

PF,

Not talking shit, just asking a question here.

But why is your new growth so yellow?

strain?

I have been natural/organic growing style for a few years now, and I have
noticed that my new growth is a lot more NEON but never had that tone of yellow
like I see with yours.

I have noticed from a lot of other natural/organic growers, the new growth is always
very vibrant and neon, some are more yellow then others.

But yours really stands out bro :)

your recipes isnt much different then the rest of the herd lol

only reason i bring it up.

just wanna hear your thoughts regarding it.

Of course the rest of the entire plant looks amazing, and the yellow
might not really even be anything bad at all..
like that "purple stem" thing that the chem growers are always
so concerned with lol.

I like to think it's strain dependent. I have the same soil for all my plants and some are dark green and some are not.

You don't have to worry about me taking any post in a negative way. Even if someone intentionally post a negative comment I really don't care.

If you're talking about the variegated Goblin Girl then the yellow is just the genetic expression in this cultivar. The cutting had some yellow in her and it has translated through to the offspring.

If you're talking about my other ladies then it is probably due to the enzyme tea I feed them every 2 weeks.

Purple stem to me is just more of the silliness out there that gets passed on as knowledge from those supposedly cannabis 'gurus'.

Ask away if there is more on your mind.

I like to think it's strain dependent. I have the same soil for all my plants and some are dark green and some are not.

While the environment can have some effect on the characteristics I think that genetics is the main contributor to what you see. That's just another way to phrase what you said.

Pak---know you like to make hash via ice water, as do I. But just tried my hand at dry ice extraction. 3 oz bud, 2# dry ice and 120 micron screen. Fun times. Super quick and don't have to dry it out. Going to still press it in same manner. Big fluffy piles.

It does seem easier but it will be more like the Moroccan hash I got back in the army. I preferred the Afganhi more and it was IWE.

I may give it a try at some point and make up my mind. IWE is a commitment of about 4 hours of taking care of busy and a day to dry out.

IWE should be dried out for at least 1 week, 2 weeks in a humid area such as yours. I've seen some gnarly iwe that molded in only a month with several days of drying. I sieve or microplane mine onto cardboard and parchment as a desiccant for about 10 days then cure for at least 2 weeks. A lot more work, but the effort always pays off. Granted, if you smoke your iwe sooner rather than later none of this will be a problem.

Old Goblin day 30ish

Not the frostiest, but god damn the terps are outrageous. Reminiscent of sweet tarts, much sweeter and more pungent though. It's going to yield a lot. 10 colas each like the one pictured above.

3E.....it'll be awhile before this one finishes up. I'm guessing she'll take at least 80-90 days.

I cheat on the drying by using a seed heating pad under the parchment paper. I use 25 micro screen to press out the moisture then break it apart with needles on parchment paper. The parchment paper sits on the heating pad. The next day it's dry. I haven't had any problem with molding.

That Old Goblin looks great. I'm not surprised about the smells because the mother (Goblin Queen) smells so good.

I'm liking that 3Elders. I was hoping for a sativa leaning pheno like what you have. It'll probably take a little longer than Old Goblin.

My pheno hunt ladies are showing different degrees of maturity. There are a couple in there that I've got my eye on. I'll get some pictures up in 10 days or so.

I've never smoked an old school sativa so the 3E really intrigues me. Just to be clear, ONE MORE TIME, old goblin.....GQ#1 x MTV OR MM? i need to write these things down.... I put another old goblin into flower 3 days ago. It seems to have a similar father to the 3E I posted. Whatever father it is seems to be more sativa leaning than the one of the Old Gob pictured above.

Señor tea: The seed's moms (ole goblin, goblin scepter, 3elders and purple star) all received pollen from the two suitors. Open pollination gang bang.

not sure which I'll stick with but my hash jar was empty and time/energy was scarce. It makes a nice bowl topper right now, will let it age some more and press some of it. Was quick and easy, used what I already had for hashery and spent the same amount of money on ice.
