My intro and bona fides...

You've got some cool genetics, that's for sure. I might have missed some posts, but didn't you have some outdoor going? Did it survive the botrytis that crushed the NW? What genetics did you run outside?

Let me clarify my naming of plants that I'm growing. I got a cutting from SG1 (actually 2 cuttings off the same mother) that he is referring to as Goblin Queen pheno #1. Throughout this journal and on other sites I refer to this as Goblin Queen.

I got seeds from SG1 and one bag was marked Goblin Queen. From that bag I got a seed that popped and was female. That one I referred to as Goblin Queen seedling.

When I got the Goblin Queen cutting I also got the Neon Purps clone from SG1. That covers the females.

The last seed mother I had was Mazar-I-Shariff x Guerrero that came from some seeds I got from Swami Organic Seed. So there were 4 females that I open pollinated.

The males came from some old frozen seeds that I've had for around 40 years. These seeds were breed by my old grow buddy with labels marked MM 1+2 x MTV (Eminem) and Like MTV (MTV). These weren't from the same bag of seeds but from two different bags. I'm thinking that there are some of the same genetics in either bag.

A few months back I started keeping records on the girls I'm growing. I tracking the transplant, harvest and trim dates for better understanding of their growth. So when I did that I started using the names like Goblin Queen and Goblin Girl but placing #1, #2 on the end as they rooted and I transplanted them into 4" pots.

I hope this has clarified some of the confusion. I'll still use Goblin Queen, Goblin Girl, Pimp Daddy #1 and Pimp Daddy #2. These would be cuttings that came off SG1's plants. I'll still use Goblin Queen seedling to indicate the GQ I got from popping a seed.

The seeds I handed out will be Goblin Septer, Purple Star, 3Elders and Old Goblin for the seeds that I produced via an old pollination by Eminem and MTV. The #'s that are attached to the names are just for my record keeping purposes.

I did an outdoor run but I did get botrytis on my ladies. The seeds that I grew were from the outdoor run. I didn't see any bud rot until the first week of October so I was able to get most of my ladies harvested. The only one that was not ready was Mazar-I-Shariff x Guerrero. She is expressing more of the sativa characteristics and she wasn't ready to be harvested.

Next summer I'm building another hoop house and taking some of the techniques of those NoCal growers and doing light dep on them mid-June. That should give me enough of the summer to get them to harvest before the bad weather hits. Even the one lady I had in the hoop house showed some bud rot.

Once I saw bud rot on any of the ladies I cut them down. So I only had a few buds with rot and the rest were okay. I know from experience if you don't harvest right when you see bud rot then you'll lose the whole plant.

FYI - I've stopped by a couple of times but seem to be just missing you.

The One was bred by Clackamas Cootz back in the early 70's. Was a cross of Blue Orca's sister x Blue Moon Rocks (although I might be mistaken). Clone only for 40+ years now.

Thanks for clearing all that up, Pak. I couldn't handle the Halo2x stalling for 4 months so I was going to wait for Halo3x,but after SG revealing the GQ was knocked up by Halo3x.....well, I popped 3 Goblin Scepter seeds last night. Should be terptastic.

I'll answer below.

Here's the back story on TO and BO. Back in the 70's CC had seeds from a '71 out of the Kandahar region of Afghanistan and '76 had some seeds from Thailand. He took 100 of each cultivator of those seeds and popped them. From those seeds he took the 10 best looking plants in each run and crossed them to produce seeds. From those F1's he again grew 100 plants and chose the best 10 plants of those. Those 10 plants were then shared with others and he got The One. This was in the summer of '84. A while back he got access to Blue Orca. They eventually landed in my cellar so The One and Blue Orca are actually sisters of a F2 run from those original landrace seeds from Afghanistan and Thailand.

Hope that clarifies the genetics.

Okayyyy. Seedlings are starting to show clear differences....one is just taking off and I am understating it. Healthy seed stock you have here Pak. Definitely sativa leaners.

The far left....is just.......wow.

Nature provided the health I just provided the opportunity. That one on the left just may turn out to be male. It's stretching very early and that is usually a sign of a male. I'll be watching to see.

The fathers were definitely strong with the sativa.

3M

It looks to me like 3M is finally coming to the end of her run. Yesterday was day 79 since flipping to 11/13. I'm not seeing much new growth on her. Before her demise I thought I would share some bud shots for her.

I'm enjoying the leaf coloration on 3M. She reminds me of some of that mexican weed out of the Acapulco region.

3M is sharing the 4x4' space with 3 other ladies. I thought you might like to see them too.

Last year at this time I was just rebuilding my grow rooms and acquiring new genetics. I few months back I added the 2 new flower areas.

I'm finally getting use to the new genetics and how they grow. I'm also dialing in on my height restrictions and have the transplanting and veg phases coming into sync. CC told me that I shouldn't top my plants and I'm getting the LST'ing down to a science.

So this is coming along with experiencing the new areas, living organic soil and new genetics. We both know the plants will teach us how to grow them. I'm finally getting those lessons understood.

Thanks for all you've done this past year in helping me get to this point. Sanctuary Gardens genetics are some of the best. :tiphat:

I'm hoping for keeper quality with her but I've got such good genetics it's a high bar to reach.

She is 79 days from the flip to 11/13. I think you're correct that she is going to yield great. Even the lower buds are fat. Those old males have some great genes hidden in them. I'm getting excited about building out my pheno hunting area.

Me as well…..I have some designs for 5 male flower chambers in my flower room. Will be a decently expensive project (lots of computer fan, plexiglass and various hardware), but the plan is to maximize pollen reserves. Unfortunately, I only have one flower area (about 7'x7'), so I am a bit limited in female hunting, but I am trying to come up with ideas to add another flower tent to my room specifically for pheno hunting (won't be growing anything larger than an ounce). Everything is starting to get jam packed so we shall see.

Never enough space right brother?

I'm thinking on building a two tiered area with 2 4 tube 4' T5's. One tier would be for popping them and the other would be for getting them 18-24" tall. That will give me a good look at their structure and then move them into a flower area.

I keep my males over in the little house so I don't have to worry about the pollen getting to my ladies.

The teen veg chamber is being framed as we speak. Been putting this project off for some time as once it got started it would be impossible for me to walk around easily (I am 6"5'….lol).

EDIT:
Didn't see you post the MIS x G earlier, damn it looks like it's going to be one hell of a trim job.

I see what you're doing. My cellar allows me to separate my areas. If I was 6'5" it would be hard to move around my cellar. I'm 5'9" and there are only a few spots where I'm not ducking to get around.

I needed the same, thats why I built a two 2.5x4x6'8'' with two section each at 3 ft high with the ability to remove to use full 6'.
But your ahead of me with the separate male grow, this would be ideal for me as well.

ps that 3M is purrrdy as are all your girls :tiphat:
