It can range from some real great sativas, lots of haze varieties to some okay bud, usually its only hang dried and not fully cured but you get what you pay for
Let me also add, just because you have some increase in power usage for 12 hours is not grounds for a warrant to kick down your door. There would have to be probable cause in addition like smell or evidence in your garbage or it would have to be some extreme usage confirmed by a FLIR scan that could not be explained as anything else. If your electric bill is a few hundred bucks then you are one of hundreds of thousands of people with an electric bill in that range. Do not freak out and think you are done for just because you have been running a light or two on 12/12. You should be alot more careful if you have a smart meter installed on your electric service, if you do not have a smart meter yet it is not something you really need to worry about yet. Yes they do catch people this way but people also use HPS security lights to illuminate their yards for 12 hours a night, and people grow more than just Marijuana indoors. What would be illegal about growing a whole big room full of veggies under HID lamps? This is why no matter what you are doing you have to be absolutely sure you have no security leaks like smell, light leakage, shady friends who know about it, etc. If even one other person knows then at least one person they know will know and so on and so forth. Just use your head and be safe. Keep your plant numbers low under any minimums and be a good person, help others, generate good karma & energy in your life and the rest will be very green & bountiful for you.

Great post SOTF! Thanks man for your information once again. Plant numbers low and be good person/help other/generate good karma are the two best pieces of advice I've heard besides tell no one. I also strongly believe if you have to do huge commercial weight do it smaller at various spots instead of a monster house setup. The big fish are going to stick out obviously now if they actually pay for the electricity they use (which as stated before aren't many of commercial growers down here) with these damn smart meters.

i have just read something from a heath robinson post that could eliminate smart meter detection. let me share.
Ok he runs 600 watters but say he is running 8 of them he will shut 2 off every two hours and turn 2 others on always running a constant 6 sixers. that would diminish your constant draw of power to a smart meter. you would need to know electricity pretty well to do this as far as timers go and what not. but i think its a great idea. it would also weaken your bulbs faster turning them on and off so many times..but hey beats getting your door kicked in. this in turn would put a break in that spike. just a thought but would need some revision!

Great point SOTF... Let's not overreact here. In 25 years, I've never heard of anybody being pinched solely based on usage records-- unless it's really excessive, red flag sh*t. It's more likely that those that get pinched have combined high usage with some other stupid sh*t that they've done...

i got charged for trafficking by them weighing disgusting decomposed material in my garage so decomposed some of it was almost complete compost. thats DIRTY COPS!

The only thing that I can imagine being able to mitigate smart meter detection would be doing a 12/12 flip flop so that you are constantly drawing that level of power. If I were looking for grows from smart meter info I would look for a huge (like 3+ kilowatt, depending on size of residence) and instant power spike and plateau of 12 or 18 hours then a drop back down to normal levels, and this pattern repeating at the exact same times daily. A high but consistent power consumption rate, although peculiar, would be hard to equate to a indoor grow-op. You could also run auto-flowers and just randomly turn the lights on and off*.

I have grown some original lowryders under LED and let me tell you I was pretty pleasantly suprised at how fast they grew & flowered with some solid chunky nugs. They were like bonsai bud trees totally done in 8 weeks from seed and about a foot tall, one top cola.
I can see how a whole bunch of them spaced closely could surely be a great yield of decent herb with some of the newer auto hybrids of more potent strains. I pollinated a Sweet Tooth female with a select LR male and plan to develop an automatic Sweet Tooth hybrid in the future. Great thing about auto's is they do not need a dark cycle whatsoever which is pretty amazing when you think about the possibilities indoors & out. Easy to grow to completion in the off season outdoors and no need for darkness & 12/12 inside gives you a HUGE advantage security wise if needed. Let us not forget their smaller sizes which are non-typical or obvious compared to the classic Christmas tree shaped & size outdoor pot plants that stick out like a sore thumb. Small 12 - 15" bonsai bud plants hidden amongst outdoor vegetation in a secluded area is next to impossible to detect visually from afar or the air by choppers in the off season when nobody is even looking for plants outdoors.

FUCK FLORIDA!!!! Sorry Dude that sucks. I have been in your shoes, except they busted 5 houses, not just 8 lights. Luckily we had been paying the atty off before hand and since the houses are mortgaged, the cops didnt want them. I got the fuck out of there as soon as I could and now live and grow in a med state, its the best damn thing I ever did.
Fuck the house, especially since its in Florida, just get out with your freedom. Do you happen to be in the south florida tri county area, because those are the shittiest cops on the planet!
Oh and we didnt get busted because of our power bill, it was because of the stupid ass family members, who have now been banished from the family!

Fight this charge, they have to have proof and by the time you go to trial they wont have any evidence. originally our charges ranged from trafficking, cultivation and distribution. got every thing down to cultivation, but we have an amazing atty. only one person in our group did 4 months of jail time and the stupid fuck that got us all busted did 1 year, every one else either had charges dropped or had to serve some sort of community control or probation.

ya i'd say they got ya with helicopters and not the power bills i live in the dessert and winter months a bill of 300 bucks and summer dont know yet but thinking close to 500 and your friends that are stealing the power it's just a matter of time they get busted trust me the stealing power thing doesnt work these systems now a days are so complex they can pretty much narrow it down to the exact house or just fly over with there flir helicopter and your fried i lived in daytona and ya i wouldnt grow in florida if you paid me a million a year no way not only the flir but it coulda been a neighbor turned you in once you got to court and get arrainged shortly after that you'll get a police report from your attorney and it'll have all the answers to your questions it might even list there name but they'll black it out on your copy but take it to trial especially if theres some "witness" they may be to scared to reveal there idenity and you have the right to face your accuser unless it's a certified informant then you'll never know but ur best guess at that point and just think who had the most to gain by giving you up anyone you know recentally get any charges for anything theres so many possibilities theres no reason beating yourself down trying to guess just wait till that police report comes but your buddies stealing power i guarantee either the feds are already watching them and gettin ready to swoop or they're slowly building cases sitting back watching waiting till they can get the manpower to take that one down too stealing is how you get your electrical company to tell on you quick but paying the bills why would they tell on you your there favorite customer

im just taking a stab here, but i would venture to say it's because thats not the purpose of a smart meter
it depends on your elec. company. I dont have one, but a buddy that lives in the SAME town a few miles away has to get his power from an REMC coop, and he has a smart meter
the purpose of smart meters is to eliminate paying a meter reader..being able to bust you at growing is just a feature
