i think he secures them to the lights to hold the plants away from the bulbs

Thanks for the answer LL. What you say it's very interesting. So you don't care very much if the plants sometimes touch the lights. With the lights immersed in the plants you obtain a very efficient use of the lumen emitted. It's a trick I will remember when I'll make my new cabinet. ;-)

Wow...boy has this thread grown.Great thread Lifeless ...really top notch.I was here in the very beginning and had some ventilation questions.You were very helpful thx.I built myself a 336 watt CFL vegging light out of a four socket vanity bar.They're powerful lights and I always felt in the right container they could produce good buds.You have proved it to me in style...cool

Lifeless, kewl box and great results.
Have you seen the thread on cfl spotlights? They would compliment your box well I think.
Had I seem them prior to my cfl veg chamber I would have incorperated them for better light penitration.
Just a suggestion.
As to the thread about cfl spotlight conversions I looked and searched but I did not find it but I tried.

budluver I never thought this thread would go very far but i was wrong.
HerbGlaze I used 8 42 waters before and found things went much better with only 4 because of heat issues. The buds didnt get tight like they do with 4 bulbs. And i had 3 fans. You gotta try it for yourself to see it may work for you. Let me know how it goes. Ive grown White Rhino before and its some killer smoke. I put a whole party to sleep with some of that. GL
minds_I Ill have to take a look and see if i can find something on those. Im thinking of adding some small T5s to the middle of the boxes. Ill post pics if i do. Good lookin out on the cfl shoplights.
Heres a few shots i just took of my current grow at end 1 week 12/12. Strains are 1 Box of Apollo13 Bx1, 1 Box Og Bubblegum, and a mix box with SourSlut,Crazytrain,c88xc99 f2,Intergalactic Streetwalker,Apollolicious,and Greencrackxc99. Mix box is 9 plants in 1 gallon pots. Other 2 boxes are 5 plants in 2 gallon pots. Ill update weekly. Peace LL

I love it in the first page where you said the seeds where given to you by one of Soma's girlfriends....LOL How many does he have???? WE I went to his apt. in the dam there was about 2 that was hanging out. He is a very nice guy got to hang for about four hours dam what a session!! Hope all is well.peace Hillbilly

I dont really understand your ventillation setup, do you just have 1 80mm cpu fan blowing fresh air in? or is there another exhaust fan somewhere?

Hey now. That's Still what I'm talkin bout right there. Great to see this thread is still kickin. I got one of these dub tubs goin but I mounted the vanity fixture through 1 top (the fixture is on the outside with the sockets sticking in), modified the other into a collar and cut the bottom out of 1. They keep their "Stacked Tub" appearance really well. As with your Beta Test Box ... I spared no duct tape. I'll run a few pics when I can borrow a camera if ya don't mind. So are you saying I should have grabbed the Slut as well as the BG ? I felt like a kid on a shopping spree at Toys R Us but I didn't wanna get all greedy . Did you get a run in with suns Infamous mites ?
