What is my bretheren? I'm cool just doing my thing. Taking a little break from the mag is all. I haven't really been feeling the whole canna photography lately. Anyway ya, I'm good.
--------------------------------------

Well I'd show some shots of the ones that are in flower but after a week they still haven't even begun to stretch yet so aside from being a little bigger they still look the same. The shots today are of the one that will go into flower last. These pics are from a few days ago and the plant is much larger now. Also only three of the clones look that they are gonna make it. So sitting at 50/50 on that front. Anyway I have a couple more posts to get up so I'll leave it at that for now.

Tolpan-Glad to know i have good things to look forward to Tolpan. I might give her an outdoor run next year to see how she will do.
Core-Ya man I go through it like once or twice a year. I don't know why I go through it either. But I'm sure as these girls get to flowering it'll pick up for me. I think this time the whole not feeling like posting stems from me showing the same three strains for like the last six months or however long it's been. I wouldn't quit posting altogether though. Nah not me. ;)
Zeus-Oh man with all the rain and shifting weather systems. It's an everyday/all day thing for me. At least sometimes it drifts to the back of my thoughts, which is nice since it won't go away altogether.
B/R-Thanks for the encouraging words. Much appreciated. That goes for everybody. ;)
--------------------------------
Well there's good news and there's bad news. Good news all but my "keeper" are flowering. By the way they are all in 3 gallon containers. And my keeper is also veggin in a 3 gallon for another week. And let me tell you, she is nice. A moderately low feeder who's growth is explosive to say the least. She has a strong odor already of skunky incense, or as a friend said "Old hippy B.O." I'll talk about her more in a minute.

Bad news One of the first two girls put into the box turned hermie big time. More male than female. I would say about 80% testes and 20% hairs. Too high of a percentage of hairs to be considered father material that and shim showed shims sex as a female first. So the axe came down hard and swift. Minus 1. But that's not too bad of news. Also I will be watching very closely the rest of the bunch as they transition from veg to flower. Don't want any hermie pollen floatin my box.

Also the clones straight to dirt didn't turn out to well and began getting gnats hovering. So I axed them too(although the winner pheno did survive). And the gnats were gone. Have no fear my winner will live. There are going to be two branches that will be removed when she gets flipped on Sunday(She will be looking like a bush by then, as she gets bent up today.) and the cloner will be coming out to facilitate some garunteed cloning success for the remaining two clone attempts and also to facilitate a couple new comers to the party. Well enough of me killin on the brain. Let's scope out some picture huh.

First up the herm. See all them balls

And some balls and hairs together.

Next some root porn from the transfers a few days ago. Looking nice and healthy

A closer shot

And finally my winner from this pack. The one staying behind to veg an additional week over the rest. Also she begins her training today, if you look close you can see the eye hooks already in place. I just wanted to wait a couple days after transplanting to recover before I put her into bondage. I can't wait for this girl to flower out.

And a couple shots after misting that I kinda lliked

Mr.Bill that blows about the hermies. I will have to look at mine a little closer after your report. We can not have any he-she's in the group. The first two that I grew out had no problems with sexual confusion.

It's all good guys only one plant showed herm. I still have 4 others. ;)

Lean Green- I'll be watching a little closer than normal for the remaining girls and their sexual orientation. I don't think that many of them are gonna follow suit.

T- The only thing I do really is add h202 and molasses to every watering, anything else is just standard soil preperation. + bloodmeal, some 5-4-5 with macronutrients with benificial bacteria, lime and additional perlite. That's it.

Dave- Ya man it happens. Hopefully the one will be the only one to herm. That is a pretty sweet shot by the way.
-----------------------------------------

Ok so I snagged a few shots of the one that didn't herm from the first two I put into flower. It's looking pretty deep chunk to me. What you all think? Does it look a little deep chunk to you?

yo man nice shot...well the verdict is in.the hashberry is some good smoke but even the pheno that i liked gets nanners...wont be runnin these again anytime soon...cant wait till the dooors open for mandala again im lookin forward to it,just not the hb's... just had to let you know.i know you love his gear, did you say youve grown them hb's?and if you did ,did you have that problem?

Prof S-It does and continues to suck my friend
B/R-Yeah they really have gotten quite large
hazy-They do to, now if I can only keep em from hermin on me
T-I'll get at you in pm T. But I will say it does suck about them nanners.
-------------------------------------------

Well the herm situation continues with these. It looks that two more are gonna herm on me. I'm going to give them a couple more days to be sure though. Another consequence of this happening is that I am no longer considering any of the males for breeding purposes. It appears that hermie traits are too prominant in these genes. So all males are scrapped. And none of the females are being considered as keepers. If I can't breed into it, it's a deal breaker. Sucks. One of the males smells so chronic, a mirror of the plant I was gonna keep. The last bushed out plant goes in on Sunday. So as of now I have only 1 plant that hasn't shown signs of herm, not counting the one still in veg.

Here is one of the probable hermies.

Here's that chunky "non-herm" plant.

And a nice shot of a fan leaf

gotchya bro...yea that does suck about the nanner ace hb's i was lookin forward to runnin a cycle of them too bro  oh well on to the next project ya know.
too bad about this posssiblt gettin chucked but hey man, like you said in the beginning if it aint on point and up to par in every way you got no time for it in ur quest.im sure this wont be the last ones you scrap, but the end result will be so rewarding bro...and ya can always make plenty of wash and have the pleasure of smokin some of these strains along the way.cause i know you gonna flower some out here and there ;)
peace

Yep yep.

First up the dudes and herms getting whacked. So I missexed one of the flowering plants. It was actually a full male. No female genetalia. The other one though was a herm. That makes two full hermies which is two hermies too many for me to keep any males for breeding. Soooo....

A little closer

If I was to keep any of them it would be this one. It stunk so bad. It smelled like piney lemon incense. But...

I just don't feel comfortable working possible hermaphroditic traits into my beans. No matter how good a male it is. So you gotta do what you gotta do.

This girl got flipped today. And she is all woman. Shooting pistils everywhere, and still in veg. She really wants to go. She's a very low nitrogen feeder. Which is good to know and you'll see why in a minute. She is the counter part to the stinky boy. With a very pungent odor of lemony spice incense, but that's my opinion.

I'll be springing free the ends back up once stretch is done to make the canopy even.

So good I just had to... Most likely if she turns out like I think she will I will keep her as a possible mom though will not be considered to breed with. I already know this is gonna be some serious kill, the yield will ultimately decide it's fate but I have a good feeling. So you know... Just In Case

Ah man Mr Bill, I hope you don't mind if I pull up a seat... This is a cross of two of my favorite strains.

Nothing better than that sticky Congolese spice or the thick dankness of the Chunk. Man o man, this is a dream strain of sorts.. I'm gonna have to find some of these beans one of these daze

That "herm" one, maybe it's a macro deficientcy? Maybe Mg, N, or K? I could be wrong, but knowing how dark DC's leaves like to get just get's me thinking.

BTW the leaves on that other one... gorgeous
Great root growth too, keep it up mang
