Mosaic Virus in Cannabis pics

HTH pool shock...so this stuff will do the trick? I have a aeroflo knockoff that infected my last two grows and my current one is showing the same symptoms like clockwork. Would be nice to know what will clean it up, im at my wits end.

Take everything you own and toss it and start over after complete sterilization....

Anybody that has grown a bit has seen them...if you have not
you will eventually, Promise..

They are usually associated with DJ Short's work most commonly
but not always.

Here is a cross of mine which is Exodus Cheese X Northern Lights (Bub Gum Pheno)
Neither parents are recognized as being mutated nor were either P1's when I created
this F1.

What is stranger is that usually mutations will occur early on as seedlings and
be gone as normal growth overcomes it the older it gets..

This just happened to be in reverse..
showing as she entered flower only..


Note it is for all intents and purposes a healthy plant
fresh white pistillate,and resinous early on ...
This is nothing to worry about..

Cabron, i have all of the symptoms posted in page one, it is without a doubt a virus. Ive seen it pass straight onto other plants and seedlings that haven't even come into contact with infected plants.
What i'm getting at here is I still flower out all my plants and clone them without any real problems but from what you're saying they finish if they have tmv? Ive had this since last July when i was given infected cuttings. Also the lab i spoke to about TMV told me you need to sanitise not sterilise..

I advised Calcium hypochlorite which is what HTH is....
I'm sorry I can only lead you to the water...

Whats interesting is my chilli seedlings are now infected, they are sat by the flower bed in my garden in seedling trays there is a lettuce in the flower bed which now looks infected and a weed that is also showing the same symptoms..

Dude, I have exactly the same issue with chilli seedlings. I suspect TMV - it's wiped out a dozen chilli plants, basil, beans, and of course a half dozen of my lovely special plants. The only thing unaffected is the tomatos. It's the first year I've had a greenhouse, and I think I need to get my cleanliness together. FYI - I'm certain the virus came from some tabasco seed, as the tabasco was stunted before I naively put it in with the rest of the seedlings and the dope. Within three days, the tall Diablo sweet chillis were wilting and they never recovered. I thought the dope was safe, it's only 2 weeks later as it's started to flower that all the leaf tips have burnt and the main leaves have died off.

Bin growing 20 years, first time it's ever happened.

No pics - too gutted to take any.

If you were to analyze the two ,one would surmise that sterilize would
be a more thourghal approach ,as in use of an autoclave.
This is what is needed with this virus...

Sanitize is similar to cleaning with Pine sol and not adequate imho.....

yes even if infected,,,sometimes they are harder than hell to clone
if the virus is stressing the plant at the time you attempt it...


The very act of cutting the plant will usually cause the virus to resurface
due to stress from propagating.

You may or may not have a harvest,,,,,it all depends if the virus flares up...

The bottom line is you should not be cutting clones,,,propagating more plants from an infected host.


You should be destroying the infected plants by fire....

All equipment that isn't expensive should be shit canned...


sterilization with calcium hypochlorite should be done on whatever
you feel you need to retain.

Yes, get the pool shock...You can get it from Home Depot for like 12 bucks...It's 52% of the hydro chloride or whatever that ingredient is in the product...Should work pretty well..I would apply that, then spray down everything twice with a product called "Physan 20"....Good luck brotha

I have raised a daughter that is now 14

and have only been back to visit ever since.

I was quoting what someone from a lab told me, a professional scientist, you my friend are what we around here call a complete prick!

Why don't you try reading what you posted, sterilising comes under sanitising in the description not the other way around..It says it in black and white...I can't sterilise my tents by putting them in an autoclave, can i? But i can sanitise them by cleaning/scrubbing them with a chlorine solution and im more inclined to listen to someone from lab that deals with these virus's day in day out than some wise ass twat on a canna forum. You are more an alarmist than a messanger. I suggest you read your thread...where a link was provided to purchase inexpensive test strips. You don't need a lab, the lab provides the equipment to do the testing. And even though the strips are tested and sold as TMV specific tests, they reliably detect many types of virus including those that are reported to attack cannabis.

And how responsible is it to tell folks not to worry about it unlewss they see it in late flower,,,similar to the multiple shots of a single bud you showed us?

I think you have a long way to go to be seen as a responsible messenger.
