Mosaic Virus in Cannabis pics

Because the virus is triggered by stress. If your environment is dialed in and your plants are stress free, it's very likely that the virus will remain dormant or not be a major issue.

If your plants are healthy it doesnt show the symptoms but its still there and will still infect other plants, silicone for instance will mask the symptoms.
As far as i know its uncurable and physan 20 will not cure it nor will taking cuttings from the top of the plant the virus is systematic.

I have this shit in my garden and it spreads easy espacially if there are thrips about...everything needs to be sanitized not sterilised..im about ready to burn all my tents when the next few gardens finish up!

Vany, I'm not sure it is TMV, but you definitely have a virus. I had the same virus, my post is on page 19. I wasted 2+ months trying to get my plants to pull out of it, but it was a waste of time. I chopped all my girls down, did a serious deep cleaning, and started from scratch with new genes.

I'm 2+ weeks into veg with the new girls, and everything looks good.

RedReign thank you for your oppinion. At this time I cutted down all sick looking parts... and the plan is to get rid off thrips. All plants are away from each other so they aren't touching. So, idea is to remove all posibilities of vectors... in other words spreading is minimalized. I hope "virus" is going to stall in someway.

I have seen somewhere on the forum to put them on minimum lighting, so I did that. And I also added sand in the pots so thrips can't reproduce itself (I also read on Wiki that Thrips are laying eggs on the leaves too - one kind of it, I wonder).

If someone has another suggestion pls write it down. Thanks again ppl for all your help!

Have fun.

You have thrips, and a virus in your grow room? I suggest you clean house, set off a bomb, and start over. After my last fiasco I also tossed all the house plants in my dwelling to get a blank slate to start anew from.

I did some research and found out that I don't have Thrips. I have Fungus Gants. I'll be watching plants everyday to see whats happening to them at different stages of virus and insects.

I will have plants for some weeks, then I will probably clean out everything... last option. :|

this particular plant is sensi star from paradise. it seems to be showing signs of TMV but is overall healthy. everything else in the room looks healthy as well but i'm starting to see a couple of twisted leaves and holes in leaves but not the coloration of the sensi. what do you all think ?? trash the sensi??

i wonder if the mosaic virus and the other plague virus the one that destroys the buds from the bottom up dries out the hairs an has a powdery mold sheen are two different viruses .i had a original chem from nyc that had the leaf deformities and all ,that grew great for years,it was the best shit , then someone gave me some clones that had the funk, you know who you are. an all hell broke lose plants dyeing from bottom up in 4th week of flowering when plants wilt they develops a dusty yellow gold mold . so the thing is people that think they got mv an are like it really dosent affect the plant,,,,,,,but with this other thing virus you would be like o shit this thing is wiping out my crop..

I had the "other thing virus" a few years back. I had to move to get rid of it..... it was the worst thing I've ever dealt with. Spider mites are a walk in the park compared to that shit. It has to be a different virus than the mv that most people here are dealing with. Not that any of it is any good, but that other shit completely destroys crops. Completely. There is nothing that you can do to stop it, and it's contagious as a motherfucker.

this variegation came back negative for TMV. it looks exactly like the pictures taken by the original poster but i can say it must be genetic...

lots of the pics claimed to be infected look like it may not really be TMV imo

No they don't. I see a lot of defics and lockups though. That & extreme environmental, PH differentials.

all i can say that my above pics are the only plant in my room that are doing the variegation. of course the results came back negative. temps are perfect, ph is perfect, ro water with perfect nutes so there is no environmental reason and everything including the variegated plant is doing great. all i can say is variegation can be genetic and is not necessarily a bad thing. always best to buy a test kit if you can't stop worrying.

Blueberry and others have funky deformed growth, but the yellowing and leaf curls, the red in stems, etc. say otherwise
