Have you tried San Jose yet?

:hotbounce

No I've still have two working Apions here and haven't build the IC69's that would be required for the T21S.

I am going to build several 1/2" x 50' IC69s and then pick up a T21s. All reports are they run HOT!

They do run a little hot. My filter dryer says 105-115 before the butane goes into the 3/8" x 50' condenser, at the other end it's somewhere around 40 degrees. I have pumps for sale for $1050 shipped unless shipping goes up drastically.

Hey Graywolf (or anyone else)... does anyone know where (or if) you can buy "high pressure" tri clamps rated higher than the glacier tanks ones? Running pure propane sees operating pressures up to 150psi and I would love to find a clamp rated to say 450 or 600.

The two bolt "High Pressure" clamps are the highest rated out there. They don't really hold much pressure in larger diameters.

Ask for Don I paid like 9 and some change I really did not care my other options were in the thousands I wanted the pump ASAP. I have had it ten days I wish I ordered two just to speed up recovery times. I am running a MK4 and I am very happy.

What is the purpose of the tubes going all the way down into the spool? i noticed it looks like it would be touching the bottom of the spool. how does that not affect anything?

The drop tubes in the lids get the liquid to the bottom of the collection pot and keep it out of the recovery vent. Only vapor should leave the pot. The tube helps this to happen.

So if it extends 6" below the lid and its a 6" collection chamber how does it let the liquid in? also the small tube thats the same length? Thanks for the help grateful

If you cut a 1 1/2" X 12" spool in half for the down tube, and extend the sanitary clamp end an inch minimum above the top of the .440 thick lid, it will be around 1.440 inches above the bottom of a 6" deep spool.

The small tube is the same length.

Here is how I made the originals.

In this case does anyone know a better closure method? I always pressure tested my system built with tri-clamps and it held fine to 300psi, but this is going to be a state licensed endeavor and I really need to be able to meet the 3x burst ratings required.

I have access to a full machine shop but I'm trying to explore all the options before we have to build our own method.

Nice dybert, if you actually get to machining your own clamps, maybe someone would disclose the actual working pressures encountered running dimethyl ether, so you could have a product that covers that base also. If you recall dimethyl either is available in canned form as MZ12X Organic Degreaser, but I mention it because overseas dimethyl ether is produced from methanol from compost, and it would be an environmentally smooth substitute for butane or propane when it comes to extractions not just here, but worldwide.

Two bolt sanitary clamps rating:

..................70F.....................250F

1 1/2...........1500psi.................1200psi
2.................1000.....................800
3..................100......................800
4..................800.......................600
6..................300.......................200
8...................250......................150
10/12.............150......................100

How high do you need to run?

Not on a Mk III. We've run dual pumps on Mk IV's and V, using up to 4" X 36" columns.

I've read about running dual trs-21s and keeping them adequately cooled, as long as I do that would it be possible to run the upgrade kit on the mkIII and run dual pumps? I would also be running a 12x12 recovery pot with the 6'' lid.
