The Malawi Sun really is a monster, cutted and now 82cm big. ^^ But with the cut and tieing down some heads it's nice and bushy up there. I like that this pheno is a bit on the sativa side with the 3 Unknowns obviously being more indica.
The Malawi Sun Male is fast and getting ready again soon... perfect timing.
The Light Penetration with 100w LED is surprisingly good.
When i will have more luck outdoor next season and would get my 100g dry buds with 100w, i would only need 1 indoor-run per year. Ok, maybe 2 runs for fun, seed making etc.
Hi friend. The new generations of leds (quantum board or cob) have more penetration respect the old models.
Your plants are amazing.
I love your job and I will hope to grow the Malawi in the future.
Enjoy
Peace
Like i said before, it's my own cross, not Malawi like you can buy. But maybe we all come in contact some time to exchange our work, legalization is on the way in europe.
How many days you think does it take for the first male flowers to open!? Have to take the male out of the box in time, don't want to pollinate all plants... Thanks.
Thanks! I put a lot of... some call it stress i call it love... in it.
17th day of flowering
Malawi Sun
Yeah it's gotten too big but i instantly love my new strain. Wish i had more females, ok better luck next time. But this one is so nice, look at the long branches with sativa touch full of flowers and she got 6 of these branches! She definitely will be pollinated by the Malawi Sun Male to get some nice F2 Seeds...
He is in the wardrobe now. With an 8,5w 2700k Osram LED and an old 20w 6500k Phillips ESL, that should do it for the last days getting the pollen ready.
Nice thread Mitsuhara. It is going to be iffy for a Christmas harvest. December 1 will be 35 days. Christmas Day would be 60.
Your plants all have a nice healthy look to them. You can tell by your pics and your thoughts that you love growing weed.
It's going very well. Again the plants are doing great with only tomatoe/vegetable soil and guanokalong powder... once a week i'm watering with some bottled mineral water, otherwise only tap water, so watering 2 times per week. That's all.
Malawi Sun
Yes, this is 1 of 4 plants in my 60x60cm tent! ^^
Unknown Strain (3)
They start pumping out resin now, especially the big one.
@Revegeta
The Unknown Seeds were a gift, my dealer friend where i'm buying weed sometimes got me those from his connection. He couldn't say what it is, maybe some commercial indica or hybrid stuff. All 6 germinated seeds were females, i got 12 seeds in total. Not bad, healthy plants with good bud for free.
They do look good, I don't want to alarm you but I think I should mention this - seeds that come from a hermaphrodite mother are often all female or hermaphrodite. So if you got 6/6 females, maybe you got very lucky but most likely there's a chance they come from a hermie mom, and I would pay more attention than usual to possible pollen sacks, because there would be a possibility that some of the females have hermi tendencies. Coincidentally, the plants I had this very summer I also got 6/6 females. I had to pull a few male flowers from 2 of them. There is Zamal in the cross which is known to be difficult to preserve due to its hermie tendencies, because there are almost never any males in the progeny and people reproduce them with the hermies to be able to keep the strain alive. So in my case I was already expecting this and there wasn't a problem. But if you are unlucky and you miss them they could pollinate your tent.
