Mites must die.

Wow....and i thought I had it bad, thanx for the pic time, it really makes me put my shit into perspective.

Ok guys, basically I sprayed my clones and dipped em in the eradicater but only for like a minute and I still have them, I am going to repeat today. If by the end of the week I still have mites im going to buy some avid...who has some anyone know?

THanks for all the replies guys I really appreciate it

For small quantities try hydro shops...some of them will sell it under the counter in vials for $10 or $20. It's quasi regulated as a controlled pesticide, but can be found by civilians if you're crafty. You can always snag some online, but you'll have to buy 8oz minimum which is usually around $100.

Here's one place that stocks it and Floramite (also another great miticide)

Neem works best imo and its natural, mites die, eggs die , and they dont want to come back to neem treated plants/grow area ..just need to treat everything since you have them, grow area, plants, top of pots etc. I would neem everything for 2 weeks (if still in veg) about every 4 days. You need to be pro-active with neem when starting a grow and you will never have mite probs, try to get your hands on (Dyna-Gro) 100% neem oil and mix for foliar spray according to instructions.

the eggs don't die and the mites do come back.

i know if i seen the pic that i just showed you and that person got rid of all them mites and still had a big yield of dank buds i'd do what they did....i tried 5-6 different things and the only thing that worked was neem to kill the mites, then rinse them, and let predators go....predators eat everything, mites, eggs, they go all over and when every last mite and egg are gone they die.

Ya man the eradicater doesnt seem to be working. I have neem and it doesnt seem to work either, these things are just too annoying.

I guess i am starting a regimen of neem every other day and spray with erad the days between neem and see if I can combat these fuckers.

On a different note can anyone help me come up with a system idea? I want a hydro system that will work with high rez temps(too hot for dwc). ANy and all ideas are appreciated!!!!

When you spray them, are you THOROUGHLY spraying the entire plant? Most of the problems I've seen with them surviving was due to lack of complete spraying. The only time I had em, I sprayed the stalk, medium and even the walls near the plants to make sure there was nothing for them to survive on. The first spraying of Avid I did actually killed them all I think...but I did it again in a week to make sure and have never seen another since then.

T2U, I would doubt a W88 nuclear warhead could rid a mite infestation like that photo you posted. Ive never seen one remotely close to that disaster. When you see something like that, its time to rip it down and start over or move plants out, bomb room with strong chemical insecticides, clean plants with soap/water then neem...etc etc etc One look at that and you know mites/eggs are every where in the grow area, not just the plants

What im saying, if you have *some* (not thousands) mites treating with neem for 2-3 weeks will get rid of them. Neem is not a one spray ond day solution. Also, if you spray from the beginning of veg you *never* experience at nitemare like that. If I have to spray hazardous chemicals from dupont on my plants I certainly wont smoke them. Be pro-active

Just a tip , i battled the lil bastards through one grow after that i used 2 pyrethrin bombs, they came back. next time iused your good ole fashioned raid type bomb, no mites today.

avid is good shit but they can biuld a tolerance but if you spray righ the first time you shoud be good to go, i recomend one of those gallon pump sprayers with the wand that allows you to get the under sides of the leaves so much better, and doe'snt kill your hand like with a regular quart spray bottle.

peace

ps, ive had webbing like allmost as bad as that T2U, those lil fuckers NEVER stop you would be amazed at what they can do just overnite!

KILL THE BORG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

we were gonna just rip it down and start over...good thing we didn't because we ended up with just around 5 lbs. the mites were long gone and the plants survived and grew great after the neem and predator mites.

i don't understand how people want to try all these chemicals and other methods when you can release a beneficial bug and they eat mites and eggs...it's what they do...when every single egg and mite is gone they die from starvation.

ive tried the bugs, an ass load of them, still didnt work, thats why i personally use pest strips and dont spray anymore, cuz they cost 6 bucks each, dont leave residue on your plant, the chemical takes 1-2 weeks to break down, the dichlorvos i mean, and no funky spray taste.

I have to agree with sbaegis

No pest strips worked for me where Safers soap failed. Wish I woulda tried the no pest strip first.

Good Luck

I use chemicals., but weeks before plants are in the area, I use Ortho Home Defense-MAX Perimeter on the wall/floor/ceiling joints two weeks before setting up. Then mix up dyna-grow 100% neem oil & soap in a 3gallon pump garden sprayer and hit the whole thing twice and then start veg the following day. Mist all plants, pots a few times during veg and have a non eventfull flower time, I hate bugs in my stash, I wont stand for it :dueling:
