Mites must die.

I have a couple clones that have mites on em. Baadddd. I do NOT want them to have mites when I transplant them so what can I do to make sure I wont have them.

So far I have thought of this
Before transplaant to little cups:
1.) spray with mite eradicater
2.) rinse off after 5-10 mins
3.) Inspect and kill all mites found
4.) spray, rinse, repeat untill no sign of mites or eggs

Will this successfully end my battle with mites? I hope so...as I HATE those buggers.

try your solution on one cutting before the others to make sure you got it right.
Not everyone thinks of doing that first :pointlaug

rubbing alchohol with a spray nozzle screwed on comes in handy when transportin clones from an infested grow to a new location.....1tokes works excellent, just another viable option :) see the mite eradicator thread for complete instrctions on both methods. good luck.

First thing is to rinse both sides of the leaves maybe using the shower. Then, spray with something like safer soap. I guess you could use the "mite eradicator" instead of the soap. Repeat this about every week until gone.

just raise the humidity to 90 percent=dead mites, or you could put a no pest strip when lights are out and turn ventilation off why its in there ,then take out when lights come back on. two or three times and your mites will be gone.

mites are easy if you catch them early and use there makeup against them.

make a miticide dip and pour it into a container large enough to dunk the entire clone in. Fully submerse the clone and wait about 20-30 minutes, then spray off with fresh water. Works like a charm!

dont waste your time with sprays, get "hot shot No-Pest" strips. Kills all crawling and flying insects, and only costs 6 bucks or so.

Be careful w/ the homemade spray consisting of baking soda, epsom salts, apple cider vinegar, soap and lemon juice and water. Make sure that you rinse it of REAL WELL. I burned the hell out of a couple of my plants. They should be ok, but that stuff will burn!!!

This is what the grow shop guys claim is the strongest...

here's a link to my thread, the part where the mites invade and my battle with them. There is also the reasons that no pest strips should not really be used if you spend any time near the grow area yourself. I think the usa is the last country around to still stock those strips, and is thinking of banning them.

no pest strip hands down the fastest, and not a problem when done like i stated in an earlier post.they are truly all dead in one night. the only reason you have to do it a few more times is because the eggs.
