Good day all, what's going to be in your Super"bowl" this weekend?
SG have you bred with fruity chronic juice? I have a cut of it also and have been thinking of chucking some pollin on her. No time soon, but would still like to do some homework

Did you get your soil dialed in before your shut down? Last I remember you weren't happy with where you were at with your conversion to organics, but there was something about your soil not being warm enough, so you brought it inside or something.
Really just wondering what you soil make up is now?

Your soil debacle sounds real familiar SG1.That's been a while.
At first, soil not cooked enough.
Lost 1/3 yield.
2nd run was my best organic run.
130% of normal.
3rd time, I over amended my recycled soil.
Lost 40% of yield.
This time, I cut the over amended soil 50/50 with recycled soil, then amended with a gal of fresh EWC and a shovel full of homemade compost. (per 18 gal tote)
Young veggers look real good so far.
When I flower, I will top dress with EWC, kelp, little alfalfa, and some remaining high-P guano.
I'll figure it out eventually.

Try and cut the hot soil using something more bland. To add air and lightness to the mix light warrior and coco are the medium I use at a 50/50 ratio. The total is about 70 to 30 mix with the hot. Helps the water drain out of the soil quicker and keeps it more oxygen rich for the microbes and fungi. That's what I like about the light and fluffy. You could probably use something else. (perlite, peat...any others?)
Almost think it is better to feed teas or top off the soil later as the demand increases. Keeps the tp shock and the hot burns away. Add extra nuts after the soil becomes depleated to refresh with the castings and other ingredents. A good time would be week 3 flower to top off.
Compared to having a hot soil that you don't need to feed. JMHO.
I don't think my plants suffer when I TP, all my soil cycles at least 4weeks before its moved to the can be used tote, I just think I had the wrong thought process. I was thinking I would recycle with enough amendments, each time loading up the soil so I could use it in a notill system and know three was enough food for the long haul.
I followed a few folks who used teas, and ended up with more problems then it was worth. I think the water only method suits me well. I do plan to top dress once I get the no-till going. I need to understand my worm farm better and produce enough to meet my needs.
I do LST on them pak. Usually pull the top of the plant below the other branches.Did you train that Noctural or is that the way she grows?
