Halo is an exceptional outdoor producer.

This is a 6' Halo at harvest.

This is 2 weeks to harvest.

This plant produced 3.5 lbs
The original halo cut is a pure plant and has never thrown a single nanner.
When I'm done with stabilizing and inbreeding, the seed will be snow white pure.

Holy Bat Shit SG. That bitch is looking good. Since I only get one shot a year outdoors, I try to find the dankest erb that produces. This looks like one of them. Is the halo a proprietary genetics like the Glue? If I was only interested in volume, I would go with blue dream or big bud. I am not impressed with either, and never have been. My GSC's pumped out 4 this year in 200's. But the GSC is now old school and I love to move on. I tried some Purple Caddy last year that everyone said was the tits, only to be severely disappointed.

Friggin electricity so high here, that paying a big price on a plasma will actually save me money. My electricity bill with two 1000's with digital was over 2k a month.

Thanks for those pics SG. ;)

Hello erybody!!!!! Ok sg, got some tea brewin. I have four gq's and one rav and one scrog gq in flower bout 10 days now. Im not gonna mess with the lil scrog experiment but two gq's are still in five gal buckets. I would like to tp them to bigger pots. Took a quick trip to the store needed dirt. All the soil recipes make me wanna mix it up better than i had. So gonna post my pics of what i have and would love some help getting quantities correct. I dont have much but this is a start. The pic of the cooler is appoc 30 gals appox 4 cu ft. Like i said. Not much but could use the help. Been checkin out organic threads and i would like to be totally organic. Good dirt and the correct teas at the correct time. Should be good.

Looking good Minions. Some nice colors.
What did you pay for the Kelp and alfalfa? What size are they?

Here is what another recommended for a reamend soil. Not sure if same quantities with a new soil mix but hope it helps give you an idea.
For 30 gallons of soil re-amending, based on your base soil, I would mix
1 cup kelp meal,
1 cups All in one fert such as a "Dr. Earth",
2 cups alfalfa meal
30-40 lb bag of worm castings
1cu ft bag of composed chicken manure.
Mix thoroughly and let cook turning soil over once a week for min 3week, 6 weeks is optimum.
add a couple compost teas during the cook time to speed up the cook time and increase the micro herd.

This would be a hot soil with all that chicken manure and worm castings.

Making soil is not only a live and learn experience, but takes time to cook.

Take it from me friend, if you need to TP, get down to the grow shop and buy a couple bags of decent soil and then TP.

Do it sooner than later if you need too, and bypass the eventual headache with homemade soils.

Do explore soil recipes as much as you can.
I always looked for ingredients in common with most other recipes.
If most use them, then the science is more proven.

Like cooking from a cookbook for the first time, look for easy recipes with the fewest steps and ingredients, succeed with it, then expand from there.

SG is correct in advising you to keep it simple for your first venture into organic soils. I'm on my first organic grow and I used this recipe.

The first thing is to get a base soil mix. One of the easiest is to go with:

ProMix at 50%
EWC at 30% (compost or leaf mold can be used)
aeration at 20% (pumice, lava rocks, perlite)

Using the conversion of 7.5 gallons = 1 cubic foot

Take a total of 3 cups of amendments:
1/2 cup of kelp meal
1/2 cup of neem seed meal
1/2 cup of alfalfa meal
1/2 cup of azomite
1/2 cup of crab meal
1/2 cup of Epsoma tomato tone

You need to add some rock dust for the micro herd
4-6 cups of granite rock dust

Mix this up thoroughly and then moisten it. You don't want it soaking wet just moist. I use an ACT (aerated compost tea) for this to add some micro herd to jump start.

To make ACT you need a 5 gallon bucket and an air pump (mine is 7.6 L/min).

Use 2 cups of EWC and 3 tablespoons of unsulphured molasses. Place in 5 gallons of water and drop in the air stones and let it bubble at maximum for 24 hours.

Let the soil mix sit for at least 4 weeks and you need to remix it once a week for the first 2 weeks. I do the remix every week.

Here's Mildred in the soil mix I just described.

Got a breeding question for ya..

In relation to the pollen chucking that you do:

Do you only use Reg plants for your breedings? Or have you used fem's in the past?

The question thats posed is will picking late forming nanners off of Fem's be different than picking late nanners off of Reg's? Or will their offspring more than likely share the same outcome towards the end of their life?

Your question on fem or reg nanners, must be if the future mother/father plants were from femmed or reg seed.
That particularly, doesn't matter as long as you have good weed and get nanners.

Big breedings for future possible lines, I use a real male.
Sperm in abundance :dance013: no fuckin around.
For small, fun frankenstien breeding for fem seed is done with late flower nanners.

My rule is, even with nanner issues, is it within a safe level of your personal tolerance.
Does it self seed? Does it seed other neighboring plants?
Probably should shitcan that plant and not breed it.

Now does the nanners come after week 6?
Do the nanners stay closed without handling?
This to me is a good candidate.

The closed nanners have a low pollen count, and the pollen are generally moist and heavy(relative to airborne male pollen) and fall straight down on the bud you want seed from.
Very controlled, low seed count, all fems, and fun-fun-fun.

Sounds like a plan buzzed.

As far as the soil for the tp I'd not worry about cooking it with added hot amendments. Not time for that if you want to keep your girls happy.

just add the promix and castings say about 60/40. Use more BX for lighter mix. Your call on percentages but castings are great food for the girls. and won't burn your leaves.

do the tp and just use the tea to get those microbes goin'.

topdress with more castings and if they are still hungry then topdress with a sprinkling of alfalfa meal.

alf is Hot so be careful. alittle bit will do ya usually.
chicken poo is hot too. found out the hard way using it with my teas.

Best listen to SG1 though cause I just puffed on some Nocturnal. :dance013::woohoo:

Lol. Iron we must have had the same thought pattern on the noc. I give all the kudos to SG. My noc hermed real bad and for whatever reason i didnt catch it. Smoke too much idk. On the flip side, that is an amazing smoke and dont mind the beans, personal stash you have time to clean it. I have some molasses, ewc, kelp extract tea brewing since yesterday. Im thinkin about just leaving the girls alone. Give my soil a chance to work. I am going to transition completely as plants come out of flower. This time spent last year has taught me a buttload of information. Frustrating at times, but i love this shit. I like the teas.

SG.........:groupwave: u da man. Thx 420.

Sea4 out of the 4 halo 2x seeds--two didnt pop and by the looks but dont know, i have one tall stretchy and one short squatty and pretty. Stats just not reliiable this time dude. Sorry :tiphat:

Pictures or it didn't happen. lol
Space is a premimum for sea. His area is looking real good. And I just want to give a big shout out to sea as he has been a big help with my new flower room. He does great work.

Buzzed, it looks like a 5 gallon with a spray bar. How do you keep the stuff in the bucket from clogging the pump and spray bar? With a filter on the pump or is the materials in a nylon bag?

Pepe i used a nylon stocking. Doesnt get it all but i also keep a nylon around the pump.Realized tnite thatbig pots require lots of liquid when they need to be fed. Going to build a bigger one tomorrow. Snowed here today. That means people go fookin nuts with the bread milk eggs crap. Couple inches, freeze till afternoon, then off to the fifties. People need to ignite some nocturnal and get in touch with the reality spirit. Anyway, the more i read, the more i know going completely organic is good. Lots to learn, lots to do. Worm compost bin also on the docket tomorrow. Got an idea. I live on a lake where even the bootlegger sells red wiggler worms. We will see what my lil head can come up with. Need a bigger place..

Seafour is definitely someone you can listen to and learn from. I want to build some alfalafa mulch like you have sea. How u do dat???????

A special thanks to SG and his advanced contribution to teaching people at all levels. No doubt i like to venture out, but when shit hits the fan i have learned to take a deep breath and get with the growmie pack right here. Get set straight all the time. Cool.
