Looking good Baba.

How did you take that last photo? The best way to show crystals isn't to get the camera up close, but to stay moderately back and just try to get as focused of a shot of the area as possible. Take this at the highest resolution your camera offers and then open the picture in a photo editing program. Simply zoom in and crop the photo. Here is the difference between resizing the whole frame of an image versus zooming in and cropping.

Thanks, Catman. I think ill try zooming in using photoshop... anything for better trich shots!
Part of me wants to know what you said to Bird, part of me doesn't care, and part of me thinks it's none of my business. Eh, I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding....

I could go into detail, but I don't know if he even was accusing me yet.. I'm going to do something I hate to do which is to assume. Assuming bird is talking to me I would think he owes an apology for his accusations because once again, they couldn't be farther from the truth.

I had the same issue with my cuttings this winter. There is only one solution, buy or make a Bubble Cloner. It will drastically change your success rate when cloning. Just search through some DIY's, I did.

the bad thing is, once youve smoked the really good stuff, the mersh is totally worthless anyway. all i get is a headache when i try to smoke it. and its always funny to teach a new person that thinks they "can handle the good stuff" because they have been smoking "hydro" from around town, just how quick they can be hanging over a toilet puking, because they find out what good stuff really is, and dont heed the warnings given to them to only hit it twice until you know how it is going to hit you!:2cents:

I lol'd because I can relate. If I run out of the good/fresh stuff, then mersh is all I will touch. It's cost effective, as oppose to losers slingin' "nugs" "kb" and "hydro".

The spring and summer usually brings crazier shit around at better prices because of all the festivals (ex. "OMG get in the car, get as much cash as possible. We're goin' to Nelson's.") and gatherings, and all the outdoor stuff that goes on across the state.

Sweet lookin' plant. What is it?

It looks like you have way too much water in your perlite, thus the algae outgrowth. I, too, use jiffy pellets for cloning. IME, ditch the perlite all together and just dip in cloning gel and stick into the pellets. Toss the cuts in a black nursery flat with a humidity dome. If you have 6-7 cuts in there, no need to even open the dome until you see roots start to pop. Some strains in the OG family are hard to root in pucks (ie OGs, The White, FFA etc) but all else roots like a dream...

I'm from Michigan. The medical marijuana laws aren't really fully effective until some time in mid to late April. There is already one dispensary to my knowledge in Southgate, Michigan.

There's not going to be any dispensaries in Michigan, there is a doctor in Southfield though, not southgate. They got a clinic there called the thcf and all they can do is write you a qualifying patient form stating that in there opinion you would benefit from the use of cannabis. Then you have to take that to the MDCH and get your card. If the mdch doesn't reply within like 14 days, you're good to go. If they do reply it will either be with your card or with a denial. This all starts april 4th so everybody needs to have there doctors letters, bloodwork, ct scans, mri's, etc etc. to take to the thcf in SOUTHFIELD that way they can all flood the mdch on April 4th!!

No dispensaries in Michigan? Then how are people supposed to get their medicine? Will all purchases still be made through the black market? Will the black market be semi tolerated now? There's gotta be protection for weed providers.
There's an interesting story of how a Michigan sportswriter got caught growing marijuana because the cops tracked his purchases from companies that advertise in High Times. Makes me wonder if they're tracking all grow shop/hydro stores....

Clones
You know, astartes, Ive had that green stuff on my perlite before and to me it almost seems like it's the chlorophyll leaching from the leaves. Could it be that instead of algae?

Smoke Report
Nice report, Dontstep! The Sourdog sounds wicked, i have 'high' hopes for mine now! The high cut through a night of smoking oil, that's something. How much of that is just cause that was your first time hitting it?

update
I took 10 more clones today and they're in peat pellets. That and rockwool seem to be the only things working for me re: cloning. I have high hopes for the Aerogarden, though.

I poured a good amount of water into the perlite and plugged in the heat mat. Gets nice and humid in there so i leave the vents open; i just have to pour some water into the perlite every day to make sure it doesnt dry out, which will dry out my pellets very quickly.

By the looks of it baba, and more importantly catman, that perlite is soaked. The water is as high as the top of the perlite, and if I'm not mistaken you're supposed to go about half way up the height of perlite with water. You're looking for the perlite to wick up moisture from beneath to create the high humidity, it cannot while it's completely drenched with the water nearly covering it. When I first started growing mushrooms I used perlite to humidify the terrarium much the same way we do with clones and it's important to not drench the perlite, a little H2O2 never hurt either to keep the algae under control. Nice looking bubble gums btw

And baba it looks like your garden is much more full this time around, that's good ;)

K double O, I don't even know what to say in response to those beautiful shots. My fav is by far the leaf the captures the essence of fall.

Nice job everyone, the midwest is looking real good right now.
