bananas are male flowers that are yet to open and release pollen. you can try plucking them with tweezers, or if they can't be contained kill the plant. personally, i'd chop the whole plant

thanx for the info what could be causing this 6 weeks in cause this is happening to only this strain .Do i have amom producing all herms is this possible or a small light leak affecting only one strain.

Yeah I don't think it's the exact same weed but it looks exactly like it. It has a kind of compressed look to it but it's not, they are just really thick full buds. The $350 shit did go for around $600 a qp out in the country though. It's just that in the city there is alot more competition. I believe that most of it came from canada though if that says anything.

Morilla, Ive had the hermie problem before, it sucks. Nothing to do but to cut down all those plants. Since they'll tend to pass on their hermi-ness, you shouldn't make seeds with them (you could, and hope that some of them dont contain the hermie trait, but thats a tossup). It's probably just a characteristic of that strain, if your other plants are fine.
If your light leaks are pretty minimal, you should be ok for the most part. My closet isnt totally light proof but my plants didnt hermie except for the thai, which was a hermie monster......

Idoreally, nice grow!

What's up midwest? Looks like everyone is doing great. That's one fat nug you have there jonnybgood.

I got my lone JLP SDxOG F2 here, currently at day 5 of 12/12. Last night I pruned off a bunch of the larger fan leaves that were shading these nice growth shoots. I was worried I took to much maybe, but I honestly can't even tell the next day. Here's a far out shot, and a close up of one of the tops. I decided to mist it down with todays feeding.

Good News

Good News

Ahh, good news. I checked on the plant at the begining of her on cycle for the 6th day of 12/12 to find my first clearly visible female preflowers. What a relief it's a female, I'm very excited to see how she turns out. It's a relief knowing she's a female, now I can run this for now and not have to scrap it and restart from the very begining - getting some quality genetics, would have to order something first otherwise :joint:

And just because, here's a shot:

Not the nicest shot but It'll do.

That Sourdog looks excellent: bushy and healthy. It's great that its a female, and I see a little dandruff (trichs) on there too!

At least 1, possibly 2 clones (out of 7) rooted in my aerogarden. Not the greatest, but better than all of them dying...

hey Baba have you tried JJScorpio's rapid rooter method? http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=46778
i tried cloning twice in rockwool with no success,,,since switching to this method i am 45 of 45,,,i don't soak the RR's all night i spray them b4 i take the cuts and i use clonex bt anyway you go since i havr switched all is good,,,hope you find the method that works for you,,,peace

Rapid Rooters is the one method i HAVENT tried yet, which is pretty stupid of me because it's probably one of the best methods out there (although, to be honest, the best method for anyone is the one that WORKS).
That being said, a medical grower i know uses them exclusively, because DJ Short the breeder uses it. Thick white roots in 7-10 days, can't get much better than that.
Ive had pretty good success with the Jiffy peat pellets, despite losing a tray occasionally.
I did buy a box of Oasis Rootcubes that looked like Rapid Rooters. But they're crumbly when dry, not spongy, and the one run I did with them they all died, but I think my dome was too humid and hot. I still got like a few hundred of the rootcubes though (they're real small, like 250 to a sheet) so I might give it a go again.
Ive been thinking of making my own EZ-cloner knockoff: I already have a spare tub and pvc and a water pump. I just bought some ezcloner spray heads for $.30 apiece...
But you're right, I should probably just use Rapid Rooters and save myself a whole lot of trouble. But sometimes I like making trouble, cause then I learn more... :rasta:

hey Baba i feel you on the whole learning thing i have tried a few ways too,,,i too did the diy bubble cloner a 2.50 rubbermaid small 1 gallon tote, 1- 6 inch airstone, airpump, and a bag of neoprene inserts for the ez-cloner, jar of clonex, a small piece of mylar to put on lid and to drape over edges to block light, few drops of Liquid Karma in ph'd tapwater,,, drill 4 holes in top,,put cuttings thru slit in neoprene slide the stem down thru the hole about 1/4-1/2 submerged in water,,,walla 12/12 with this method so far,,,with both methods i have had 100% success and roots in 10 days or less everytime and on an average of 7 days with the strains i have worked so far,,,,but yes whatever works for you is the best,,with the diy bubble cloner and the rapid rooters i have had great success,,,i hope it all works out for you my friend,,, congrats on the clones you did get ecspecially if it is a special cut,,,peace

whats up midwest where you all at?

How goes it in the midwest? Here's some bud porn I was able to capture a few days ago showing a couple of the nicer purple KF phenos I've got going... I'm thinking one of these two will end up being the keeper, they're well ahead of the rest of the crop as far as looks/vigor go (these pics are from day 31 flower):

Tall pheno:

Have had various little problems throughout, still dialing in the system, but overall happy with the way things are going. Out of 20 seeds popped got 15 females... 1 extreme runt, 1 girl that was tragically crushed to death (RIP), and 6 purple beauties. Looking forward to testing the finished product in a little over a month.

It's been a while since I posted. My bag seed yielded about 25 grams. That was one plant. My 5 NLXBB clones only yielded about 10 grams. I just took a blueberry in soil mixed with rockwool in a 40 oz styro cup. It was pretty, but a little dissappointing on the yield as well. I'm guessing about 6 grams when dried. I seem to be going backwards.

The next to harvest is trainwreck in a bubbling bucket, and about the same time another blueberry. Also in a styro cup but all soil. Shortly after them I have another go at the bag seed plant.

I am getting a steady harvest, but my timing is not down yet. I ebb and flow a little more than I want too. I will have to work out the timing. I also need better performance from my better genetics. So far my yeild on the better genetics is weak.

I'm toying with the idea of going to soil. I do have pretty good starts for blueberry and trainwreck mothers in soil. They are also in 40 oz styro cups. I have high hopes for a NLXBB mother that seems to have new growth in soil.

I also cut the root ball on the NL and put them in to reveg. Fingers are crossed as reveg is my quickest route to another NL harvest. I'm looking forward to trying the blueberry and the trainwreck that is drying and the next to cut.

I do really: I havent traded cuts with anyone so far, although 3 very nice icmaggers did gift me a good selection of dank-sound genetics (I really need to get those cracked!). Ive just been struggling to root my own cuts, which i think is ridiculous cause ive been doing this for over a year now, you'd think i have it down....

Don't step: whats the double tray for? You keep water in the lower tray so the upper tray stays moist? when you mean temp controlled do you mean you have a heat mat? I have a heat mat and my tray is filled with moist perlite: keeps everything nice and humid but i have to leave the vents open else it gets TOO hot and humid and kills my cuts....

Dix: long time no see! Looks like the bagseed's the big yielder so far. Hows the smoke on those strains?
I know what you mean about the yield. After trimming you have this nice heavy pile of buds but after drying they weigh nothing! Although I think i overdried my harvests, they were so dry they crumbled to dust.
so all of your plants are in 5 gallon bubble buckets? Ive gotten some pretty big plants off bubble buckets, so long as you let them veg out for a bit. Philcuisine uses buckets too and his plants always finish up a few feet tall. Maybe you're not vegging them out enough? If I dont veg out my clones for at least 2-3 weeks I get crappy yields. When I do get a nice 3 week veg, well, see below...

picture.php

The NYCD tub I vegged for 3 weeks, still chugging along. Maybe halfway done by now? Month to go or a little longer, I'm thinking...

picture.php

Starting to see actual green buds now. Im hoping the bigger they get, the faster they grow...

Put 5 TB of Florasweet in the 15 gallon res a couple night ago. Never used a carb product before...well, I did put some a TB or two of blackstrap in my last bubble tub run, dont think it made any difference, hopefully Florasweet, since it's made for hydro, is more effective.
