Bobblehead Jed: I started off with schwag too. Good ol' Mexican brick. Brown, seedy, stem-y, and compressed until the buds were flat. The first time I saw a homegrown, green and orange bud I couldn't even recognize it as weed, I was so used to the mexi-brick.
Which is not to say all mexi was bad. Some was surprisingly decent. Also, having vapes makes it infinitely more bearable toking on that stuff, if i had to...
Jonny B Good: Good tips on doing the perpetual. I'm sure Ill come up with a system if I ever do the perpetual thing... right now, with my setup as it is, i have to veg for 2 weeks to get a good yield. I'm sure the perpetual is in my future, though...
I Do really try: Yeah, I think keeping an even canopy is key: every plant is equidistant from the lights.
Sounds like you're quite the handyman. Building your own little rolling cart out of 2x4's and wheels; im sure its not hard, but I have little carpentry experience, I have trouble making a straight cut lol. I do have a circular saw but no proper workbench or table... Eh, im sure it's not too difficult if I put my mind to it. Maybe looking for basic carpentry tutorials on line or at the library would help ('build your own bookshelf', etc).
Good to hear the NYCD was good in the Dam. Speaking of which, is anyone going to the Icmag cup for 4/20? I hear flights overseas are real cheap now, what with the downturn in travel and all...
Smoke 1 sun: I can't quite picture what your unit looks like, but id have to say, if its a passive flow i dont think the water will go up 3 stories. Maybe you could have a rez downstairs and have a pump and some tubing to pump that water up to another rez upstairs? Anything to avoid carrying heavy buckets up a lot of rickety stairs.
