Hey Micro -
Nice job!! Looking very healthy. I like your approach in regards to letting them veg. That gives time for a good root structure to develop and that is a key component to a good yield and high pest/disease resistance. I also believe that plants stretch more when the roots still have vertical room to move deeper. The plant seems to get taller as long as the roots have room to go deeper. That can go 2-3weeks in to flower and cause big time stretch.
Way to go with the CMH!!!!

Longer veg = Less stretch
I am 100% sure of this. All in all though, I should have grown about 2/3 of my current height. The bottom 1/3 if the plants are bare, but I guess that is good for air flow.

You can't even see 4 of the plants in this picture, but those plants are the best looking by far. I will never grow 2 different strains at the same time again.

Awesome!!! I love the challenge of having multiple backgrounds and phenos in one spot but, I never yield as much. It is too much of a surprise sometimes eh!

I have vegged for less then 2 weeks and god damn did some only stretch a few inches an dother 2 or 3 times. There are way to many variables to sit there and say a longer veg equals less stretch.
Cut all that crap underneath because as you say, airflow is key.
I too hate growing dif strains at the same time, but I did this grow and i'm doing it again right now as the new crop starts to veg. But I usualy grow using LST so it's easy to compensate. This last grow I grew a sog with 2 dif strains an dit sucked!

Yeah you are 100%wrong. How long you veg for has absolutely nothing to do with how much your plants stretch.

Not to high jack Micro's thread, but on the stretching thing:
I have MANY times tested this, with NL#5xHaze, AsiaGirl, NL#5, CannaBiogen delux mix, JohnnyBlaze, SweetBlue...........and so on, what I have found is that two clones off of the same plant (and this is worse from seed) will stretch and finish at different heights dependant upon the root density. Ie when I take one of those clones and put it in a 10gallon bag and the other in a 5gallon and veg them for 1week, the plant in the 10gallon will generally take longer to initiate hard core flowering and will stretch much more. Take the 5gallon plant and put it in flower and veg a week longer on the 10gallon and you will get a bigger plant but no more stretch relative to the starting height than the 5gallon gave. Now I generally have a good % of sativa genetics, but over and over again I have done side by sides with clones and if the pot is full of roots and they can not go any deeper it helps to relieve stretch. I re-potted some JB once about 3days before 12/12 in to a 55gallon bin from a 1gallon pot and it would not flower until the 55gallons were damn near full of roots, took almost 4wks and boy did she stretch. I just flowered a sister clone of the same size and the transition was only to a 3gallon from a 1gallon and with 4days veg she went hard core flowering in about 10days and the height was half of the other when done.
Plants generally grow to resemble their root mass. Root restriction is a great tool for indoor sativa growers and micro growers alike.

And to answer a few questions;
-This is actually my 1st professional indoor grow. I have grown 4 years outdoors, and 2 other years indoors with Halogen (actually worked) and CFL ( produces next to nothing).
- Saying that I am 100% wrong isn't 100% right. There is obviously a Positive correlation between longer veg and shorter % stretch. The amount of relation depends on the strain, the lights, and the root structure. Since I had 4ft. tall plants in 5 gal container, the containers are freakin stuffed with roots. So when flower time came, I had a stretch of about 6 inches.
I mean a plant that is 4ft tall, switch to flower, and now its 4'6. Fucking explain that people who say I am wrong. Yes it is not a scientific but EVERYONE was telling me that I would have 6-7ft tall plants after stretch, and I kept telling them that a Tall plant will not stretch as much.
Actually, Maybe it has something to do with CMH. Think about it. HPS is a spectrum designed to flower. So when the plants start to flower, they really take off.
What is the stretch in a MH only grow? That I would like to know.

Jumped over here from your comments on the white russian to check out your 800watts.Real tight and light.Going to be a nice finish.I'll check in again later for the wrap up.Never done the widow myself but I'll be finding it in my garden sometime in the future.Keep up the TLC.Chaco.

Ironically you can hardly smell anything in the room. I have 427cfm exchanging a 397 cubit foot room, which is I believe a full exchange every 1.1 minutes. Plus I have a oscillating fan always on.
I used a microscope today to look at the trichomes, and they were like 9/10 clear. I am guessing harvest day should be around day 65-70 of flower.
