yeah orgo teas can kick up a stink, when you get your bio-grow you will also see what i mean, its mainly molasses i think. i agree with indophiliac, definitely much better than last week. looks like youve clipped leaf tips here and there, are they starting to yellow a bit? i expect she will be needing a feed soon. keep on growin

Indophiliac - The tea consisted mainly of worm castings, there was some flaxseed and coffee grounds. I was away for a day and after I returned, the room smelled pretty bad :) But I guess now that I'll have the aquarium pump, I'll try making an aerated compost tea. If the nutes don't get here soon, that is.

NG2k - Nah, the leaves aren't yellowing at all yet, the few leaf tips that are missing are mainly because when setting up the fan, it sometimes accidentally acts as a trimmer. I put it at the side of the pot, although I feel soon I won't be able to do that anymore, as the leaves will have taken over the pot.

Also, I'll try to build a ghetto DIY carbon scrubber, because although she shouldn't be smelling much yet, I can smell her when I enter the room. Not too much of an odor, but noticeable.

----

By the way, I had this idea yesterday, don't know if it could be beneficial or not, but when I boil brown rice, the water usually becomes brownish and brown rice supposedly contains all kinds of minerals and stuff like that. And the water could have soaked some of them up. So can I use the water to feed my plants ? And will it do some good or not ? :chin:

looking brilliant. treat your soil as the bio-bizz light mix and try to stick to this schedule. she isnt the biggest of plants so you wont have to worry about the missing topmax. but its pretty easy to follow.

g'luck!

Looking good, like the tie up-will use that next with flo 60/40. If you took her to a 250hps air cooled digital, she would of course perform great for you even if on the next round by cut. Now you know exactly what they like I see, keep them pistils popping.

Fudge.
Drove to the post office today, got the package, opened it and instead of the biobizz line I saw some advanced hydroponics stuff. Except the alg-a-mic, that was the right one. Emailed the seller, hope this gets resolved. Sure, the advanced hydroponics costs a few cents more, but I wanted organic nutrients not some chemical crap.

from my first post in this topic:

"Soil

I looked at quite a few garden stores, but none of them carried perlite or the other stuff that you talk about here. So I bought two premade mixes and mixed them together. It said on the labels that they are organic, contain worm castings, some other stuff and nutrients from other organic sources. That looked fine, so I bought two different ones. I also bought some stuff that is said to improve drainage, It was also said on the label that it can be used as a hydroponic medium. Looks like something I've seen lurking around here in the hydro forums. And I mixed that in with the premade mixes."

But yes, today I fed her with alg-a-mic and those chemical nutes I got. So this is no longer considered a totally organic grow. But I guess it's better that using no nutes at all.

I used the chemical nutrients Half strenght and the alg-a-mic as recommended on the bottle.
The seller hasn't replied yet, but he won't notice a few ml's missing from the bottles if I'll have to return them. But If I do have to return them, that will take at least two weeks before these get to him and he sends me replacements, so I'll try to arrange something else, as I could sell these nutrients to the friend that's growing the other grapefruit, he doesn't care too much about what he puts on his plants :)

Still stretching. I cut the LST strings off, but I think I'll have to tie her down again to somehow even out the top placement, because now the middle tops are much closer to the light.

Is training during flowering a good or a bad idea ?

LST'd her abit, so that the tops are about equally close to the lights. But again the middle tops turned towards the light in a couple of hours and they are a bit closer again.

Got some extra money, so I'll visit a few shops tomorrow and, if I find a good deal, hopefully return home with a hps setup. Or maybe at least a metal halide, if I won't find any hps ballasts.

Today I went and bought a 150w hps. Yay. So in a few days I will switch to hps, I have to rearrange the cabinet a bit.
