Mi5 Grow Journal - Growing With CANNA

Yo man they should be fine if you give them a serious flush. Your plants are in 5L pots? flush them with 5L of water..
That sucks about your PH meter.
I've always found the liquid PH test kits to be accurate enough for me not to mention the price difference between the pen and the kit.

They will survive.

How bad are the mites?

Hey Darg!
Dude, seriously, if you want rid of those little fk'in Borg Ck sucking bit'hes then i highly reccommend that you do yourself a faviour & get some predator mites in dude, around £35 for 2000 of the wee beasties in 2 vials with vermiculite, sprinkle around the base of your plants and watch them go to work, they run off and destroy the pescky borg in just a couple of days never to be seen again, had you heard of a product called Plant Vitality? its supposed to be a clever preventative also prioducts containing 'Declorvum'(sorry about the spelling).
'Hope This Helps.............Peace..............Scroger.....;)

let us know how they work, i am an organice grower and have been fighting the borg for years with neem oil, but that has only controlled them with constant spraying.

I have pretty much allways got a borg attack in one place or another. I use PEST OFF! to keep them under control but at £20 for 250ml the little f*****s been costing me more than my final yeild :(

anyway.... now I got my phytoline p I can sit back and watch them feast on my problems. I noticed a massive difference after just 24 hours lots of leaves are now clear however the girls would have much better off if I had known about these preditor mites sooner. I will definetly be using them in the greenhouse this summer.

i know nothing about these predetor mites, so what happens after kill off the borgs. do they die off or do you then have to deal with getting rid of those? just curious.

After there is no more food, they leave...:tiphat: I have been fighting the Borg in mt E&G as well. I used a "Pyrethium" bomb a few days ago...this is organic, as it comes from orchids. I will be using Neem from now on... Really considering predators...

Predators are the tits. I will never go back to chemicals after i got turned onto them. There are preds for just about every infestation. I just used some predator nematodes to knock down a gnat infestation. Now that there is no more gnat larva to feed on the preds are dead. Even if a few remain i am game, they are only doing a good deed.

Dargo, I have had success in the past controlling the borg with nicotine tea sprays...make a tea out of a package of cig tobacco, and do a foliar spray...works well, but no ovicidal activity so follow up treatments every few days for 2 weeks are needed untill all of the eggs have hatched...Pyrethrum based insecticides do not work on mites...they aren't insects, so need a different chemistry. I keep a big ole bag of floramite around, and if I see any mites they get the hammer right away...floramite is active against all life stages...eggs, nymphs and adults. The preds will work, but you will be harvesting before they attain a large enough population to supress the borg :ying:

I have resisted the short stuff line, and prolly will continue, but boy those HBD look sweet.

If only you could smell them!

The tallest one has taken a proper battering from the borg, I moved her to the greenhouse a couple of days ago. shes doing fine there but will never reach anywhere near her full potential. shes also never fully recoverd from the nute nuke I gave them.

the medium one is the best by far, shes got a few deficiancys due to me having to guess the ph and fucking it up, but she smells so strong and is COVERED!!! in crystal

I can see a couple of seeds sticking out from the tall and medium ones, they gotta be from the MasterLow male cos the seeds are the size of water melons lol

Dargo, you grow in coco? I am using soil :(... it is tempting to make the switch... those look to yeild very very well. They can't be in soil!

My mi5's are just starting to bud, if they are even half as good as yours' look i am a happy camper. I love the smell of the Mi5's even my males are good and dank, mine aren't fruity at all. Which is good i am over the fruit atm.

These are hands down the largest autos' i've run, to date. The stalk on the 2 select males are thick as pencils, they are still in beer cups. Actually they are bigger than the one auto assasin male that has been in a 2 gal grow bag since day 1. Can you say VIGOR!!!!!
