Purge until no bubbles form, it may take leaving it vacuumed in the double boiler for 30 minutes...
Curious to see how that works since I just bought the same vac sealer, since the other one stopped sucking. At least Costco has a good return policy haha. Was seriously considering forking out a couple hundred on a 3cfm pump, but if this works...

Thinking about it, does the sealer maintain pressure in the jar without the vac constantly pulling? If it does, I see an exchange to Costco regularly. If it keeps going to maintain pressure, maybe a 1/4" ball valve once pressure is achieved?

YES...you hit the "accessory" button and it starts the vacuum, it will run until a certain point(psi?) then shut off...AND THEN HOLDS THE PRESSURE constant.....is that what we want to happen? Is that a bad thing? Will it hurt the vacuum sealer? I have more questions than answers c'mon folks GIMMEE THE INFORMATION!

I could hold it for 30 minutes no problem, I'm still trying to figure what temperature is best to vacuum purge it at?

Mega... That's what you want. If it was losing pressure you'd have a bad seal.

If it's holding pressure, you have achieved vacuum and let the purging begin.

From what I have read, 120-140 is your target range. Above that and you start to compromise the terpenes...
If it will hold pressure that is good, if the sealer is not constantly running to maintain pressure, then you should not burn out the sealer prematurely.
Would be interesting to know what PSI it gets down to. Would need to rig a gauge to make sure. There is a big difference between 23 and 30...

I heat to 110-120, straight into the vac for 30sec. Repeat until bubbles stop. Takes about an hour and a half. I let it set 24hrs before use. My set-up is a 2.5cfm vac pump and a mason jar like many on youtube.

I am sure you could, but the 1/4" plastic line maybe an issue. I know it can be done, just may take more fittings than would be ideal.
Most pressure gauges are intended for 1/2" lines I believe.

 Yeah that and gas station sushi. If I want to really get even with someone I make some Lipton onion soup from those packets. Silent and deadly, they'll make a rotting corpse get up and run.

Random thoughts;

Been kinda burned out on the verticle drama lately, lost some respect for some peeps or in reality I can NOW talk about the respect I lost, but I'll keep it to that statement. No one person knows everything we all have something to contribute and you'll never find a more independent group of people than vertical growers.

Anyway been thinking about the upcoming project, we hope we get a large greenhouse ( or location with multiple greenhouses) and we have been discussing the "various" rotations of crops for maximun production capability but talk now is boring.....I NEED to get to work and we have to wait, something I am not good at.

I am looking and trying to find more information on Avanish's "Flo" line of strains he is running to add to our lineup, I am hearing very good things about it, trying to add about 2-3 more strains to pick a winner that "we" monocrop for large scale production, then we will have a small area for our own "private reserve" connoisseur small production for personal head stash and friends.

I also want to try my hand at some informal breeding also, I don't pretend to know 1/10th what Bobblehead or Arminus, Anti or TheArchitect knows about ANYTHING, (I have given up on the Float Valve thread..it hurts my brain to try and read that SRGB guy's postings bleah) BUT what I have discovered is I am a "active learner" I have to DO THE WORK to UNDERSTAND THE PRINCIPLE.....reading just doesn't get me the knowledge (i.e. until Anti "showed" me how to make BHO oil and pills I had a very foggy idea how to pull it off, once i was shown BOOM instantly I have it and I won't forget it), that's why a lot of times I just don't participate in very technical discussion I feel "less than" since I cannot build the manifold or watering system in my mind, I HAVE to build it with my hands to get it into my brain.

Anyway I am bored outta my mind, we are still a day way from trimming the bulk of the last harvest (still curing, we like to cure for at least a week before dry trimming and equilize the buds left on the stem in platic bags until their perfect, improves flavor and smoke and taste IMHO) and have nothing better to talk about.

I am hoping in the next 2-3 weeks I will be so busy I will be too tired to post, and all these little petty discussions will be a waste of time as we will literally be too busy to even care about them (I really didn't care that much about the latest drama when it was happening anyway)......I find it amusing more than anything.

We will be reloading the room with about 90% HinduKush x Sknk#1's as we feel they produced the best for the finished product in yield and potentcy, the OG Kush x UK Cheese although extremely resiny and sticky as all fuck, we are dropping from the rotation, not enough yield..ok back to ...uhh slinging wax to beans...........

I'll probably get flamed for this post but I try and keep it real as much as I can, I've never lied, when I failed, you guys knew about it (and I have FAILED A LOT)....when I had success I shared that also! I've been scared, fearful, angry and joyful...this is just another day ......almost EVERYONE on this thread knows WAY more than I do about growing good herb.....I just move forward and try to not hurt those near me and help others if I can.

I wasn't around to know what all drama was about, don't really care either, but wanted to say :respect: for being honest and keeping it humble. Shows good charactor :tiphat:

Oh and wanted to ask. Was that hindu/skunk clone involved in the hindu/skunk beans from the megaburbank production? I happen to have couple packs that need crackin'

No way different Hindu/Skunk.....those Megaburbank beans are goingto be "collectors"items and worth probably bazillions of dollars in a few years...a REALLY GOOD investment! (snicker).....how are YOU doing MisterD after that beat down you gave those skinheads??

The HK#1 is a clone that is at least5 years old, not to be confused with Mega's accidental breeding experiments...

That's exactly why I bought two packs . I knew the value would skyrocket once you become a major player in the cali med scene, and bobble retires a vert legend, to a quit life of wiping ass and changing old ladies diapers :nanana:. I'm ok, feels like I might rip open if turn wrong, and if I didn't know better i'd swear my hand morphed into a giant grapefruit. Other than that i'm still livin'

I knew it was a special clone just couldn't remember if it was part of mega's "breeding" projects

Man I had a vaniluna plant from dj short that smelled just like the worst shitty baby diaper you can imagine. It was pungent too, like smell through a glass jar strong. I ended puting the whole plant in jars for probably 8+ months. Smelled so bad I didn't want to smoke it, beautiful herb though. After a super long cure it smelled very floral, and sweet, with undertones of rotten meat. Ended up being some of the strongest herb i've ever smoked. Instant brick to the face kind of effect, super speedy, very much like taking a huge line of really good crank. Not really my bag of tea, but a memorable plant for it's unique qualities. The rest of the plants were very much like the breeder description, in case anyone reads this and is considering the strain. Sorry for the rambling, i've been puffing errl and my tolerance isn't quite as high these days .
