Could you please share some toughts about the transport of harvest? It is probably far the biggest security leak, at least for me. I am addressing cases when triming and drying at the spot isnt possible.

Covered for the most part, and 100+ different things one can do after that. I don't repeat for most part. Just run through all angles and sure you will come up with something.

get someone else to do it. paay them well so they dont feel the need to steal from you, and they feel loyalty to you. if you value your life...your freedom, give the job to someone who doesnt...

On that note, a note on partners, as I see many always commenting on how busted/jacked are only possible/probable outcomes:
I've never been flipped by anyone..(25yrs of partners.....sometimes dozens a yr...)....and think such happening would say a lot about people involved...(especially ones self...)

Jacked?......the closest ever was some little shit who was working without oversight, who funneled a minimal amount of plants to his own spots.....ie: He'd have a certain number to go a different way, and, at the end I'd see a hole of maybe 50 missing, etc.....

The real issue?....one I have experienced?(many times).....and the greatest loss?:
Having people you have known and trusted for a long time, and think highly of let you down......finding out they're not what you thought they were, etc.....

This is what most will face......and, a lot worse than it sounds.........a lot worse....

That's what will happen to most.....Disappointment. (personally, I'd rather someone skim a little....stupid a lot easier to accept than unreliable and all other associated traits....minor theft here and there always expected in the bar business ....when you come across someone who won't pocket something when alone in front of a pile?.....a very special person.....)

The guy above who skimmed?.......wasn't in his best interest and cost him in the end, so....we got every gram back in a much quieter and non violent way, and he wasn't aware of it, and he was done, so......made no difference.....(Violence always the absolute last resort and to be avoided whenever, however possible, and usually not the deterrent people generally believe to be......not by a long shot...many people do many things when knowing severe violence will follow....but many do it anyway, so....many other avenues one should explore before such...)

Even among folks I've known for decades, who all share the same hobby, the specifics and circumstances are rarely, if ever, discussed except in the most general terms.

It's a given. Standard practice. Good manners.

Indoors or out, commercial quantities or personal use, makes no difference.

The reminder to remain vigilant always bears repeating, especially out in public at bars and entertainment venues. The older I get, the less I'm out and about, the fewer marginal/questionable characters have to be dealt with. I don't want to see them, hear their sad story, or stand downwind.

Have you ever had a stranger walk up at a bar, stick out their hand, and expect a warm reception? It's happened enough times that my response is automatic. I'll decline the invitation to shake without missing a beat. "Sorry, I don't recognize you, it's been a long time and my memory is hazy, thanks anyway."

Practice in front of a mirror if necessary, but be ready when it happens.

See, now I am the exact opposite...sometimes when a stranger walks up and starts to be friendly...I allow him to keep going, I even allow him to get me buzzed....I then act as if the weed he has is the greatest weed in the world and I act as if I am a "once a month" smoker....if they get into slang terms I always act as if I am stupid......IF someone truly is out to get you and get info on you, acting as if you have something to hide is almost as guilty as admitting something........By simply having a conversation with a stranger and "acting" a different role, you are showing that person you are not why they thought you were. Sometimes that can be enough to to get them off your back.

If it works for you, dont change. I just saying if youo acted that way towards me I would think you were hiding something. Smoking a joint with a stranger is far from a prision crime.....smoking your weed might lead to something, but if they have the doobie, hell yeah I will smoke it. I even have acted like I wanted some from a stranger one time.....he tried to get me to buy a pound...I was like...."whoa, I just want to buy like a joint, or a dime bag would last me a month".....those kind of comments tend to steer LEO in the opposite direction.

I figure if they are gonna come after me, then I am gonna make them work. I am not gonna just hand over a reason to make them think I doing something wrong.

I Never really worry about such things, im kind enough to give people some freebies if they smoke, but its more mainstream here so kinda different to other areas. I'd choose a theft any day of the week....(replaceable, and if enough things going enough places....really means nothing......nothing at all........no more than losing some change through a hole in your pocket while carrying a packed duffel bag......)

As earlier......history not cut and dry.......examples listed earlier in thread extremely accurate regarding length of time known and performance......

My current best performer I have known a fraction of everyone else.....(he's already 900 plants above all others combined....)

I've already bumped him up 10%....and actually at end if all well, going to throw in a new car for him.....

Note: Going to be starting the largest pellets shortly.....will share results but expect fantastic performance....(if same just larger.....sure astounding...)

btw.......guy above have known.....eh...less than 4 years......but for quite a while have been putting him under more scrutiny than he knows about.......(Probably equal to a ssecret service background check actually .....)

Good guy....he's real.....taking directions, psyched....."into it"...a worker......had a chance to get out of something serious at one point and refused and took it like a man, so.....straight, honest guy.......(been tested with money and product....didn't take a dime....)

Think will work well...certainly is so far.....he is "hungry".....not close to others financial picture, so....always a factor to consider (position, hunger, desire), but, he follows through so far......see no reason why should work well....

Howdy Julian. Hope things are well and hassle free. Are you doing many "trees" with the full prep and cages? Seems to me they probly put on a fair amount of weight already. Any inspections or assessments. Will they be a bigger part of your action than say minis, AFs,etc...

Nah man.......as earlier....changing over to exclusively mini's....should have AF stock good by start next year......although jumping the gun a little....quite a few thing going out as we speak....all last couple pages in thread......(AF stock will get done, period. If I have to rent another short term place just to kick out winter stock, so be it. it's done, period.....also, as always....lot of stuff I am working on I don't talk about really ...but will at some point ....)

Ones going in right now should be a little more though...put up pic...whatever..in past week or so...(1st 1,000) those pretty much gone....for the most part. ...(whatever not should be by weekend...)..working on set up already of 2nd rounds kinda.....so.....should be a little more than minis, but, as always everything on 24/0, so, hoping for a trigger .....I assume most likely will for the majority.....little concerned.....from past history my July 1st or so rounds got some fair size to them......so really hoping for a trigger on em ...

I have moved my mother plants to large nursery pots, and thrown them into a swamp to flower, and I have germed and I am currently vegging all of my early danish strains, my later hybrids, and a few other project strains. Is there still enough time left in the season to germ and veg out minis?
For some reason I can gauge what type of a weight I would get from a plant that vegged for 2 months.. This is my 9th year outdoors, but every year I have trouble gauging the season. I suppose I will have to start taking notes, Dated and labeled with turning points in the season.
Any advice on starting seed would be appreciated.

No doubt that's right, and it never gets any easier. When fairy-tale $$$ dance behind their eyes, the best cure is a cold dose of reality. When they learn the actual, real-world, numbers, much less the potential downside, plans to retire early are, as usual, .... retired early.

Been to a few of those ... on more than a few occasions ... never had a hassle. Whether a seedy dive or a 1%er clubhouse, if you don't act like a butt-head, it's some other drunk who ends up being the floor-show. ( Knowing when to leave is a very important lesson. )

Should have been more specific about the handshake. Meeting a complete stranger is one thing, having someone come on with "Don't you remember me from such and such, or so and so ...?" is quite another. Most of the time, they are a complete blank ... but on occasion they'll drop a name or place I'd rather forget ... and can't wait to forgot all over again. That hasn't happened for a while though, I think they might be dying off.

In the case of complete strangers, I use an alternate procedure that can't be considered "disrespectful". I bump fists. After surgery on my right hand, and a lengthly recovery, anyone needing an explanation can look at the scars.

That sad song has been sung since the Greeks & Romans. It's not about the growing, it's not about the smoke. Going to add some things when I get a chance........far and heavy into planting, starting to reach "full force"...meaning all, 100%, 100% of the time working, and some hard core training and different approaches with different people yielding better results than have in a while.....(I'm already behind...filling and cleaning out veg spots faster than ever before......funny actually....

Am going to add some other points of interest, maybe a pic or 2, and am starting to take pics of urban locations done (pic will be spot, then farther away, then farther away, etc, final showing where it is ....later on I will re edit to see what I should show and what I should not....ie: Do not want to post something that basically someone local could recognize....)

Most people, grower or not, just don't seem to have a clue to what is possible.....

Going to have some interesting notes coming up (and some training notes also for people who find themselves having to train others.......)

Hope all are well.........I've spent nearly every day (night) out myself... , and my planting rate right now is at what it usually is at the end of the year........I think I set a new personal record yesterday actually....(me and another did.....I don't know really....300 more or less in under an hour.....note: spot was prepped, so....)

Think discussed earlier, but a quick note on "control" plots/spots......ie: Something, somewhere, done similar, more applicable to M/F to gauge when to hit certain spots for sexing (instead of going in for nothing, and going in again for nothing....)

Control is basically a gauge of what other similar spots with similar things are doing.

Think mentioned earlier....have always done them when possible/spot available.....

Some no maintenance notes.........people just have no clue how extreme this plant is ....(Found this week 4-5'ers, from last season seed (maybe even a bird and someone else's), spot not watered (only rainfall), spot not prepped, no nutes......and sure anyone here would be glad to have them .....(maybe pic of 1 or 2 later when I go back to certain spot...most likely something that fell off from harvest, although I did hear a handful of seed was tossed into bushes last season for fun .....)

From seed dropped a almost a year ago......(Which is 95% less effort than a typical "no maintenance....)

Having some animal problems here. Something either a rabbit or cat is eating the leaves off my small vegging clones so I gotta round up some chicken wire to cage every plant. Only planning on about 300 this yr myself but going to put lots of love and quality time into these 300. Got 5 ft tall plants an an indoor location that are coming out this wk and going in the ground. Wanting to see how much they will yield with full prep.

What are you guys doing for mosquitoes this year? Seems like the worst year ever for them IMO. Gotta wear long sleeves and jeans with shoes but then they swarm in my face. Don't like using repellants cause if it kills a mosquito it will kill me.

By the way Julian you said you change nutes all the time but what have you been mostly using this yr as far as time release nutes, Guanos?
