Homer J Pimpin, thank you brotha! Can't tell u how long I've been debating wether or not to get their exodus s1. Another thread I found on it was interesting, the dude found like 4 different phenos in a pack, 2 keepers - he got the classic sativa cheese pheno, & he also found a completely indica pheno that retained the classic cheese smell. If ghs truly did get the cut to reverse, That would mean these beans are essentially a pack of 80's sensi (or sacred?) seeds skunk#1. Pretty frickin schweet

Chaco,

That Candy Chem is looking stellar, and you still have a while to go with more bud swelling =]

TacomaComa, that Chem 4 and Grinderella are incredible - You definitely have them well dialed in.

Got a new camera, transplanted the vert room (Did I veg long enough????), and got my cab kinda done- it's a little crazy right now, can't shut the door all the way, and can't run the HID's full time as I am worried about fire until I change a few things, but the t-stat & timer setup for the heatpads is working great, it's goal was to be an insulated cloning chamber I could run in my basement so I don't care about the hid's even though I'm vegging in it now. Lights are 250 watt MH, 50 watt HPS, 65 actinic's & 32 watt t8's. Multi spectrum for sure! The floor has an R value around 15 (2 layers of reflectix w/1" airgap) and the sides are all R 7.5 iirc,.

Has anyone used this stuff:
http://www.biocontrols.com/secure/shop/item.aspx?itemid=158

It appears that the active ingredient there is 0.25% Chitosan which appears, from the limited research I've done, to be quite useful for plants. I recently added some mothers to my room that have Tobacco Mosaic Virus and while the genetics are well worth the added trouble I'm looking into ways of managing or eliminating the TMV. One option that appears most viable is tissue culture, where one would take the smallest piece of new growth and clone a new plant that hopefully hasn't yet been infected with the TMV. Has anyone with experience working with TMV infected plants weigh in on this?

Has anyone seen this yet:
http://www.telegram.com/article/20120302/NEWS/103029707/1052

After being stalled for quite a while, three dispensaries in RI are being allowed to open, from the end of the article:

"The three dispensaries to be licensed are Thomas C. Slater Compassion Center in Providence, Summit Medical Compassion Center in Warwick and Greenleaf Compassionate Care Center in Portsmouth."

Does anyone think this will end up affecting growers rights in RI?

Dispensaries, B.S. Federal Schedule 1 Laws & the medical/prison industries

Skunkburner, I've thought about this issue at length multiple times...
It all depends on how it plays out and the pressure level of the fed and dea. This is why states and the US as a whole needs to push for full legalization.

The way they shut down medical dispensaries and then use that pull to limit growing and others in the medical community is by keeping cannabis as a Schedule 1 drug. This means the federal gov doesn't recognize any medical values - which allows them to then shut down dispensaries as locations that distribute a sch 1 drug and don't acknowledge the medical basis for why the dispensary is there.

Legalization would jump over this BS loophole and essentially remove the ability for the medical uses of the plant to be questioned by the fed. Dispensaries are incredibly needed in the medical marijuana field, many patients who are just starting need medicine right away and can't wait months or the learning curve of growing good bud. Some patients are too sick to grow even if they wanted to - it also helps allow patients to try out many more genetics than they could grow - in order to see which strains work best for different conditions. Not to mention having the dispensaries selling cuts of the same genetics they sell - so patients can replicate what works best for them on their own.
Medical Marijuana should always stay, but we need to move to full legalization in order to protect the medical sector from the FED - given the unconstitutionally totalitarian means the DEA and fed have put towards MM.

The Pharmaceutical companies also have big stakes in ensuring that medical marijuana is shut down. The main backbone of the prescription industry is the ability to patent medicine as a company. Anything that grows naturally - which hasn't been synthesized or modified (Intellectual property rights) cannot be patented. For instance, Vitamin C, D, E etc cannot be patented, just like growing cannabis. This is why they are not raiding factories producing and selling Marinol (Prescription synthetic THC) - but instead are raiding places that sell bud, edibles etc. - forms of the drug they can't patent. This also plays into a lot of the suppression of medical breakthroughs around cannabis - because it threatens the income, industry and holdings of all these companies who sell medicines for conditions that cannabis can treat as well, and usually a lot safer.

I definitely think Dispensaries are paramount in the compassionate and practical applications of medical marijuana. The main thing is preventing the lie-based terms of the DEA who refuse to acknowledge the 10s of hundreds of primary articles on cannabis's medical benefits. However most of the developments from there are synthetic forms of cannabinoids that can be patented by the 'medical industry complex'. There are already over 6,000+ patents held for cannabis research and synthetic cannabinoids.
Link to all the Cannabinoid Patents @ http://www.patentstorm.us/search.html?q=cannabinoid&s.x=0&s.y=0

It's similar to the Du Pont and the Chemical/Wood companies battles against cannabis - which didn't require their toxic pesticides to grow like cotton and also could replace the wood industry. Now it's not just what agriculture you buy, this greed is well integrated into aspects of the medical industry where - it becomes obvious that bottle-necked profit is valued over safety or having the most or best choices for treatment.Just like with the prison industry writing laws and lobbying for keeping Cannabis Schedule 1 (with jail sentences) or longer jail sentences etc.

Profit should not reign over possibilities of freedom and progression towards more effective and safer medicines or societies.

Can I just say this...our population as a whole in Mass is so nuts, the acts committed in one day couldn't be punished. You'd have to be a pretty bad dude to go to jail in Mass for weed.I havn't seen it yet and I've seen a few boners go down in my area, always with pockets full o' pills and they don't ever go to jail, its the ultimate welfare spot.People like us are not criminals by a long stretch, I bet 80% of you guys don't even have speeding tickets, you god damn geeks!!:) I knew a guy in CO back in the 90's and he couldn't even grow but his basement had like 30 plants all vegging with about 4 shoplights. His girl rats him out.The cops bust him, find a 20yr old triple beam, he gets 6 months jail and 10K fine plus and IRS audit which ruined him....and he never heard of 12/12.....Those CO cops are dicks, believe it!!:blowbubbles:

I remember reading about a local man finally being sent to jail, his scumbag tattooed ass made the front page because he had never been to jail but had OVER 20 CONVICTIONS with 1/2 of them being violent crimes/a&b, and the other 1/2 being hardcore drugs.

Only problem is, I'd be ok with going to jail for weed, it's the possibility of my dog getting shot in a raid that freaks me out, not a day goes by that I don't worry about that. Stay safe out there guys.

Locally, there's been a few pot busts over the last few yrs, both ID and OD, and I haven't heard of anyone doing time for it, tho they were all semi-commercial grows. Nothing outlandish.
Last month they busted an illegal for coke. The NE ICE bureau office is in NH, and he was on their radar. Supposedly he has to be in custody for them to do anything. They have 48 hrs. to get him or he can post bail. They were notified, but they didn't get here in time and he walked on $800 bail.
Two days later they caught him again, again driving, no license. He had bundles of coke in a tennis ball. Back to jail, where ICE were notified again. Again he walked after posting $200 bail when they failed to get here in time.
He was due in court yesterday for these charges, course he didn't show.
the ineptitude makes my head spin.
:nono:

Speaking of Co. I've been enjoying American Weed more than any other of the reality pot shows. That Fort Collins cop seems like a real ballbuster.

Ineptitude can be a good thing, in a system of cannabis prohibition based on lies. It's nice to see cannabis falling towards the bottom of concerns of the States police force since decriminalization.

Hahaha, QFT! I did get a parking ticket once, though. Damn meter expired like five minutes before I got out of an appointment, meter maid must've been hawking to catch that one. But yeah, I'm pretty good at keeping a low profile and staying out of trouble. Frankly, I have to work harder at being stealth around some of my family than anything else. A couple of them are real fucking pricks that think their shit don't stink.

Yes, not yet.I bet another few weeks of phosphorous and kelp tea woul do wonders. They're a bit hard to flush though...Rasputin, I knew you were bad especially. That ticket was clearly your fault.Quite frankly I'm amazed everyday. You have a better chance of being accepted into a great law school than being jailed in Mass. Not that we're gonna flaunt it but like Bio said, its nice to know that pot is not a demon in Mass or RI.Now theres a hydro shop on the cape, thats bold.Theres a part of me that thinks better quality people are involved when the whole show is underground..."green rush" types make me vomit. All the people I've met from IC have been great, dedicated, qualified people.I can't say that for all the road crews I've worked on...Imagine me, on the road grader for 5 months in a bandana, taking one hitter breaks with the flag girl.New Mexican and CO cops would bust you in a minute.I was on a paving job on the New Mex side of the border on US 64/84, 40 guys with shovel, 20 machines, not enough weed to go around!

Man tacoma what I would do for a cut of that chem... Hahaha, Currently running Chem4xOTM#1 From mosca... same breeder as your chem4 I would Imagine? Anyways haha. American weed is actually a pretty legit show compared to the rest of the bullshit out there. But boy do I wanna clock that pedo looking mother fucker who's hating on the scene out there!! Every time he opens his mouth... haha.
MA does seem real cool with the laws though... Never seen to many bust's ended up with doing time. I would imagine anything under 50 plants you wouldn't have to worry about doing anytime assuming your house isn't loaded with fire arms and digital scales also.

This is a closeup of a Skunk #1 cola that has been sitting right under a 300 watt Gavita LEP lamp for 43 days, and the amount of trichomes is ridiculous as compared to some of the side colas that aren't getting as much LEP light. I've grown this strain for the past two years and have never had the amount of trichromes at this stage of flowering.

This particular ISS cola has also been bathing in LEP light for 43 days:

There're a bunch of other pictures over in my LEP thread too.
