@highsteppa....that chocolope came from a pack of DNAs recent stock. grabbed them when they dropped and have been running it for 9 months or so...they were femmed seeds. I popped 5 and narrowed the selection down to this one. all were great but this one is closest in flavor to what I remember from 10 years ago or however long ago this strain first popped up...a very tasty melony fruit flavor with a hazy slightly cocoa flavor on the exhale.....she is great yielder and very easy to grow. stretches like crazy though so flip them early unless you have high ceilings. I take them down around 67-70days but they could go longer I think... yields of 6-10oz's out of a 3 gallon felt pot are easily obtainable depending on how long you want to veg...the high is nice...clear and alert. I feel energized and motivated to move when enjoying this herb definitely more sativa than indica..she's been a personal favorite of mine for a long time and i'll be keeping this one in the garden forever I think! probably be some more photos of the chocolope to come as well...anyway...here's a couple macro shots of that phantom cookie from a few posts back. these were from day 30 or so I think? hope you all enjoy! peace ........

RD.... I would scrap the main portion of the root ball but the rest will break down from the microbes feeding.....especially if you let it sit and cool for a full round before reusing it.... and if your running organics running h2o2 through your soil is counter productive.. I understand that your trying to keep it as "clean" as dirt can be ... but your spending so much time building up the microbes and when you run h2o2 your killing them off and you gotta start from scratch...again.

If your running chem nutes then yeah I can see flush and h2o2 rinse but organics .... that's like playing baseball with football rules .... both sports but that don't jive.

3lb's have a good recycle mix ... a bit hot but def good .... cootz has a good one .... sub cool has a good super soil mix ..... I'd look at proven mixes and tweak for your needs/available amendments

Gemini I know a few people who blow glass locally but their work is kinda jank. Look up and contact fishbone glass, he does awesome repairs. I know joints can be a bitch to fix but I'm sure he can do it, they aren't expensive either, $2.50

I have a question for Raz and DZLHIT or to any other of you guys that reuse their soil.

I use fafard promix (#3 I believe) so what I'm doing is different but I'd like to know what you guys are doing with your soil between runs to be able to reuse it if you don't mind sharing with me?

I feed my girls by adding nutes to my water and feed them that way. I used to buy new bales of mix every run and discard or save my used dirt for outdoor gardens or find some use for them. But now that I'm using even bigger containers for my girls I think its wasteful to replace all of it every run so I'm curious what you guys are doing to reuse it.

Since you're using promix as a soilless medium you can skip a couple of the steps soil guys have to use, like letting it sit for an extended period of time. There's no break down in straight up promix that's hand fed. As long as things aren't too salty from the last run it's a breeze to reuse.

Dump your pots out onto a tarp or open area, break up the root balls, remove the stumps, and then turn the pile a couple times just to make sure there's no chunks. Then fill up your pots and fire some new plants in the hole.

Other than that, you should be good to go right after harvest reusing the same medium. You can probably get 3-4 runs out of the same promix before the peat starts to compact and the chunky perlite turns to powdery perlite. 2 at the minimum but likely many more.

I was having a similar opinion on reusing it. It is promix, sometimes I use sea green when I'm not adding h2o2 to my res (I switch up adding those 2), and I flush a lot at the end of each run and I flush a couple times during my cycle so I don't think there should be much salt built up. Thanks

Props to CDM,and Llyod like usual... that stardawg looks on point and seems to be a staple in lots of the gardens. I knew I shouldnt have slept on those beans 6 months ago Cracked down and cleaned out the whole room the past few weeks.. Laying down a nice epoxy seal on the cement floor this week. Cleaned the dehue,mini-split filters. Also scrubbed down the wall-mount oscillating fans... can't believe how dirty those fuckers got after one run... Grow on brothers...

I think a neg should come with a name. That should change things, man up!! On a lighter note, it's unbelievable how much dust builds up in those fans, esp the inline units. Some of mine have been running for yrs, I'm going to have to take them down and break out the toothbrush. Finally caught up around here and the room is full again, mostly clones of one of my sour grape plant. Nothing incredible but back on track in a way...
