You need some edumacation

ya lets legalize it and then fucking put people like me that depend on my crops to live out in the streets.. sweet guys ya legalize it. ! ya right dude.. hahah keep it illegal keep prices at 3 even a zip no matter what for good indoors.. fuck if thats the case the only way to do it is to grow for personal use and fuck sellin ..

You obviously do not understand market forces and pricing. If your selling in Maine for 300, your gouging. If you have no other skills than growing marijuana for cash cropping, you might want to look at another line of business. Your paradigm will be destroyed. What's top shelf selling for in Oregon or Colorado? 200-250. Hell half of California is shipping outside the state for better prices. :woohoo:

That's the growers fault for accepting such shitty prices. If growers could align and agree to basic standardized pricing they could get the price they choose.

The problem is there is always under cutters out there that only care about themselves willing to sell what ever product they are selling for bottom dollar prices. The bad economy doesn't make the situation any better. 2013 will probably be the year the bottom falls out of the weed market, they've managed to pile drive every market under the sun into the ground, it would be foolish to think MJ won't suffer the same fate.

...aka price fixing...

they could get the price they choose.

Impossible in an illegal market, immoral and illegal in a legal one.

Who is it really that "only cares about themselves"? The guy just trying to make a living in a free market, or the growers colluding to fix prices artifically high at the expense of customers of patients?

Who is this "they"? Entrepreneurs and businessman? Damn right. It was Rockefeller, with his precise German mind and relentless pursuit of increasing efficiency, who in short few years brought oil prices down so cheap (to pennies a gallon) that nobody else could compete, squeezing out his competitors one by one. Which is exactly how it should be. The inferior businessman either went to work for Rockefeller or found other lines of work, and the public got incredibly cheap oil to fuel our industry and light our homes.

it would be foolish to think MJ won't suffer the same fate.

The foolish part is in thinking this is a bad thing.

Were not talking about illegal markets, were talking about medical markets. Sucks you spent the whole time writing that but didnt read what we were talking about.

All sarcasm aside, perhaps you could take a moment to explain the distinction? I fail to see how this invalidates anything I said. Colluding and conspiring to artifically fix prices at the WRONG level, so that you can rake in obscene profits at the expense of the public, is immoral and wrong, and is the very definition of selfishness. Nobody doing that has any leg to stand on in judgment of your Average Joe Grower who is just trying to sell his wares for the price he can get.

And Gingerale I doubt you grow, because if you were grower you would realize MJ is an expensive crop to produce and the grower should be compensated for his labor, skill and quality of product.

Yes I grow. No I do not feel I am entitled to a damn thing. The ridiculously overinflated entitlement syndrome in this country is why we are fucked as a nation. If my product is worth the price I'm asking, people will buy it. If not then I will starve. This is the way of the world, and of a free economy. Price fixing is immoral and illegal for a reason.

Marijuana is much easier to grow then a lot of vegetables and fruits out there. with that being said we are living in the golden era for pot right now. few more years bet you be able to grab a bundle at your local co op for dirt cheap. in a legal market there is no way in hell good ganja will catch 2500-3k per lb thats a dream. when its legal you will see it drop to same price as mexican mid grade mark my words 500 per lb for your finest. might take a few years but it will happen. nothing good lasts forever

nah it will never get that low thats impossible but i can see $1500 for ur best but that wont be for at least 10 years

The rising cost of electricity......water....nutes....and substrate alone will never allow the indoor dank to go to 500 bux. Especially in the next "few" years. Legal or not.........Do you really think the feds are gonna legalize in the next decade?......or two?

1500 or around there?................well cali prices arent too far from there but ...............500? nah

Indoor growers will simply go out of business once the big, professional greenhouse producers start growing pot.

Anyway I'm really glad that some states are going in the right direction.

Aero,

I agree with you that we are in the golden era without a doubt. But I do disagree with you about those low prices. With legalization there will be an increase in supply which will lower the prices but not by that much. Since much more will be available, quality of product will determine price. JMHO
