The older I get, the less I "alarm". Other than the 4/5 dog/coyotes who stalked me last year, I haven't seen anything dangerous around me in 50 years.Eh.. don't mean to alarm you, but ...

Thanks. Sativas are more time consuming to harvest for me. You should see how interspersed the Honduran Trash was when I saw it growing on the island. I'd take a pass on it, but it's the best high I've ever had. Ever see the movie "Limitless"? Well, that's pretty close to the effect it has on me. Not a stone, it was a crystal clear and clean high, lets me filter our all the noise, not fucked up at all, and energising as hell, and not so strong (10% thc? Typical for a landrace I think). I'm a lightweight and can get a great buzz smelling a plant and one good toke can get me ripped. But I smoked half a joint, when diving on the reef wall and tried to catch fish with my hands while I was feeding them (fuckers wouldn't let me go on the shark dive because I'm not certified yet. lol).
I have a few special projects for a few plants that are going into pots. I don't think depth matters over 2 feet, but width does. These are close to home. And I mean close. I won't walk more than a mile. The days of me hauling shit a couple miles into the bush for 5 plants are over. I broke my back when I was 28 and the only thing that takes the pain away is pot. Opioids just fuck up my whole system while only dulling the pain. So I'm always high when I go out. lolI'm prolly gonna use my soil mix and big containers on some plants and the others I'm gonna spread around here and there in smaller 5-10 gal containers and maybe put some into the ground.....I'm gonna mix it up and try some different size containers and also straight plant in the ground...I have a bad foot and can't venture to far from home maybe 2 mile....wish I still had a atv I could put 100s of plants out
havn't seen a human in 50 years? damn no wonder your so cheery
Good info! Thanks! Thanks for sharing! I smoked a bowl similar to that about a week ago for the first time and you just gave me the missing piece to a theory i had on it! Ive been reading alot into landrace varieties preparing for my deep dive into breeding low-average thc and high medicinal value F1 hybrids. I learned about THCV which is found almost exclusively in african sativas, its described as a stimulating/energizing high. Then i found this bit of information after seeing this and looking into the Honduran landraces.

Ticks get really bad down south. Carry Lyme's disease and all sorts of shit. I have this special tool specifically for removing ticks. A buddy and I were fishing back in the tall grass and woods and were completely covered in them when we got back to camp. Freaking nightmare.

Those injuries just keep piling up. We adjust and keep growing. lolYea I've been scouting these Mtns close to my house and I've got some great places very close that I can get 5-10 good size plants hide away....but my other stuff I'm prolly gonna put 5gal buckets here and there and maybe some into the ground. I'm coming to the conclusion while I'm in the Mtns if I can't see my house it's gonna be hard to carry water and stuff up these Mtns. When I was 34 I got in a serious car wreck and nearly lost my life I almost lost my leg too and it's real hard to go far into the Mtns ....plus I wreck a atv and fractured my neck in 3 places and hurt my back so I'm really gonna have trouble if I don't stay close to home growing. Hopefully everybody can have a good outdoor season but I'm definatly gonna use different size container and just see how it goes
@ibechillin Man that is rough!
I don't have any experience with that sort of crippling pain. I've got stomach and esophagus muscle spasms that get quite painful but i don't think it is anywhere near the level of pain you are dealing with.
I've helped out a patient with peripheral neuropathy and dystonia, again i don't think they pain was quite on your level either.
What works for me, works for her but everything that works for her doesn't work for me.
Things that have work for both: THC(22+%)+very low cbd(1.25%>) + very low CBN(0.9%>) + MASSIVE amounts of b-pinene and b-caryophyllene in indica dominant hybrid varieties my go to is a cross between ghost train haze and a pink kush.
Topicals and medicated bath salts and bath bombs have worked wonders for the women in the winter.
as for edibles, might I suggest a Raw infusing with your activated cannabinoids?
THCa is a wonderful sleep aid, mostly in the aid to get to sleep and ease of getting back to sleep once disturbed. I've found that a ratio of 4 (active) : 1 (raw) to be a good point for someone with a large tolerance to start at.
this way you can atleast double down on the caryophyllene content that would be required to bind CB2 to give you any sort of relief

Forgot to mention, She makes great use of CBD dominant varieties.
Smokes a 2(thc):3(cbd) {cbd godbud is the variety} and uses a ratio of 1(THCa) : 1(CBDa) : 3.5 (THC) : 4 (CBD) as her nightly oil dose. She is hitting around 300mg of known cannabinoids per nightly dose (for your amount of pain your dose is like double that)
and again this varity's pheno that is used is very dominant in
B-caryophyllene, also has a noticeable nose of Terpinolene (that signature Jack Herer kinda smell with godbud undertones)
