Manipuri

great post

this isn't intended to sound harsh, but from my perspective that post from Thule is way off topic

I see zero evidence of influence from Chinese hemp on the Manipuri strain, and Hindu Kush strains are even less relevant to this discussion (the Hindu Kush is literally thousands of miles away, with zero influence on any cannabis anywhere in India, never mind Manipur)

Manipuri is a pure ganja cultivar

there is good reason to believe that some Thai and Lao strains have hybridised with Chinese hemp

But there is no reason to think that has occurred with the Manipuri strain

I understand what you mean by the plant isnt by normal definition, beautiful. But really alot can be relayed in the same manner. I have had many 100 dollar bottles of wine. They are literally no better than a 20 dollar bottle. But to someone who smells, tastes, feels the small nuances, it might be better or beautiful. Same can go with ganja. I dont grow to smoke, i smoke but lightly. I love a plant that has leaves twice the size of normal, hanging under its own weight like a nepal plant. I love the airy foxtail that stretches to the light, rather than a rock hard standard bud. I enjoy the nuances of a christmas tree style tree or the vines type or a perfectly symetrical indica. Reds, blues, yellow, green or whatever colors express themselves. Leaves that are shiny or pastel. Its all in the eye of the beholder i guess. To see what pops from a seed, the suprise, is what i grow for.

I only/mostly grow landrace, so not new to these types. Manipuri was finicky, and didnt want to flower easily for me. In the right enviorment, i cant name a more beautiful weed plant. I cant recall seeing a mani going into hydro (assuming thats what all the terms i dont understand means) would be interesting to see it happen.

Ngakpa, this picture needs no enhancement, just a "zoom" or expansion ;) Gorgeous bush!

I dont know much about hydro. Im curious about a plant that is so nute sensitive growing in this medium. Seems it would almost be straight water lol. Do they make non-harsh organic nutrients for hydro? I have no issues loading up my soil with a kelp meal or fish bone meal, they wont burn or harm the plants. Do they do similar resulting nutes for hydro?
What is GLR stand for?

Hey genghis, if you are back under a different name reading your thread. Private message me for that rep message you left for me. Maybe we could get together and have a nice talk.

Water-

yes, it's a single plant

No, it's not about there being a microclimate lol

Have you ever been to Oregon? Obviously not.

It's full of microclimates and in some parts that look like the pic it gets into the twenties at night, so it's a valid question.
And I started this thread so It not you who decides what is on topic and what is not.

Thanks for the post Thule, I value your contributions

Genghis Kush re-born and re-incarnated as Water from the Arupa Loka?

This how you emerge from the bardo...?

You are aware ngakpa is responsible for Manipuri strain being available in the first place right?

you are taking offense to things that are not probably even pointed in your personal direction....in my estimation

Water-

Herb, Obviously you have never been to Oregon either.
Not sure what your problem is, but you should mind your own business.
If you read the thread you would know that I have purchased a number of varieties from the RSC

Great looking flowers, will you be restocking this strain fresh? I've noticed you said people have been getting great results germ wise from the freebies though.

I think keyword here is "purchased"

Forget about Oregon....have you been to the Hindu Kush?

how about Afghanistan?

Laos, Thailand, India, Burma, or Nepal?

ngakpa actually goes to these places which is why any of this stuff is available

For someone with a former manifistation named " Genghis Kush " I would think you would have at least visited even one of the above locations

Or are you one of those "armchair conquerors" ?

Its bizarre you dont seem to have even base level of respect or gratitude for those that have made these genetics available

At the very least they have a right to set the story straight on the genetics they collected

Feel free to disagree....this your thread...lol

Hey, dont send me anymore PMs you got something to say...just say it here

What is wrong with you?
Why are you on the attack?

You are making a fool of yourself in my eyes.
I have been fortunate enough to have spent many years of my life traveling and collecting seeds throughout those countries you mentioned. Plus much of Africa and Central America . No never been to Afghanistan. Not sure what any of this has to do with Manipuri .

Why are you trying to measure my dick against his?
He is not the only person out there collecting seeds. So chill out.

I purchased his seeds and started a thread about the seeds he is selling, sorry that is not respectful enough for you.

You have no idea who I am or what I have done and can do.

But that has no relation to the thread.
You are distracting from the thread.
That is why I sent you a PM.

Mind your own business and move along, you are not contributing.

I complemented the pic then asked a valid question that he was unable to answer and instead gave an uncool response. End of story.

How is the aroma and what kind of nutes did you use?

Regarding the earlier maturing individual: Aroma at first is very similar to some nepalese landraces (spicy, slightly sweet? Very hard to describe), but as the resin glands get closer to maturity, there's an unmistakable citrus smell to it.

With the later maturity individual (still going!) there's a pungent skunk aroma on the front end followed by the same citrus smell in the background.

Nutrient-wise, these were grown 100% organically. The soil goes down very deep into the ground and was amended with diverse, nutrient rich organic compost, so not much additional supplements were required. 0-10-10 and 4-5-3 organic ferts. were added sparingly and in various concentrations/mixtures depending on the plant's needs.
