So I’m about 8 weeks in, I don’t want to show pics because they look a bit rough . Even with moving the carbon filter they stretched too close to the light and started getting gnarly, had to turn 200w down to 150w. They’re pretty happy now and I’m seeing more brown pistils. Still think I’ll have maybe another month to go. The smell is like wood varnish/pine/citrus/cleaner - but it is changing as it progresses.

All the lower buds have a lot of lavender to the actual buds but the tops don’t, not sure it it’s inside or if the light stress fucked that up??

I have a clone of this that a put in flower 2 weeks ago and I’m hoping to have learned from a few of the mistakes I made here.

Thanks for the update Ilikesnacks the leamon cleaner terpenes are quite common in the sativa dom purple expressions! New babe looks very happy

I just ordered a 5pack of regular seeds and cant wait to pop them on arrival, as i have some Purple Satellite being born and a promising uzbek ibl (khalifa) starting to flower(females indoor/ males outdoor RN).
i hope for some interesting hybrids to work on with and will probably do those crosses:

You will not be disappointed. Out of 12, you'll probably have a tough time figuring out which ones you want to keep.

Malawi x PCK strain was released almost 10 years ago, making it a bit old for these fast-paced modern times. However, it's still our best direct sativa x indica F1 using landrace genetics.

SO freaking curious rightnow how the plants will develop from germination to smoke, i will keep you updated, tho it will probably be mid of november when stuff is done, so i can pop new crosses by mid of december. Looking forward to it.

In most cases one (or at least me) is much happier when paying attention to your very own feelings and thoughts..
Searching for that special darkpurple bud and the future possibilities inspired me to go with your beans, thats for sure.
I am a big fan of afghanis, nepalese and mexicans for effect. Very curious about african Strains as well but never grew some out, maybe next summer i will look into the Durban pre82, beans are waiting as well as that Muang Sing Lao. I was thinking of crossing them for high thcv but am worried about high lab spendings. Probably will do it anyways

Personally i am very curious about finding black killer chitral pheno and get it pollinated by uzbek #6 who shows good stress resistance, purple sacks at 21°c lowest and out of my choice he's got the best stemsmell. Maybe kmpck has good daddies as well that will probably hit uzbek #5 If nothing crazy happens, she should be winner of both - best vigor and stressresistance. Smell is very delicious and uniform black currant with slight funk on all females.
I wanna find my favorite couchlocker first but also hope for a good mellow activating creativity-inducer, somehow i am just not as passionate about the high stuff as i am about the stone stuff🫠

Second run on my first pheno - not perfect by any stretch, realizing she is thirsty as fuck until week 6 and then just wants to sip for the next 6 weeks, I’m on week 10 and she’s definitely going another few… 3rd run I’ll dial it in I’m sure.

Second pheno, first run - learning from my mistakes, but this plant smells very heavily of pasta/cheese/pepper/fettuccini. Super weird. Can’t wait to see how it smokes.

Out of five beans i got five plants, two of them being very slow growing, one of them growing bigger.
Will be taking cuts soon to check their sex.

I got some Bud from a friend. He grew two Malawi x Pck. One was purple and the other was green. Haven‘t tested tje green one yet, but it smells like diesel. I got hit by a smell like I get hit when I open a canister of Diesel in my garage. Anyone had this before? (sorry I haben‘t read the whole thread)
I‘m looking forward to try this one.

Hi friends. Fantastic plants, as always. Here's some of my number 5 girl. I've managed to hold onto a cutting of her for a while and have posted her before. Stout plant, a bit different in structure that the usual lanky girls. Really great resin production. Has that sweet/fruity smell that I'm sure you're all familiar with in this cross and other PCK crosses. Really great weed, and rock hard buds. No such thing as larf with this girl.

Hi @Dentex hope you had a great summer time friend Thanks for taking the time to share your new Malawi x PCK female recently harvested. For selections in this hybrid, I prefer very potent, high yielding Malawi sativa-dominant plants, with the colors and terpenes from the best purple PCKs.

Hi @sticky.colors usually the most vigorous plants from this hybrid are obviously the taller sativa leaning expressions. Unless runts, i don't like to discard much during growth stage when approaching to a new strain for the first time, it's always better to keep clones, let the sisters flower all together, and decide after 2-3 months of smoking tests (sometimes more) which are worth keeping (if any).

Thats how it's done. I like to stress everything first though and discard too sensitive plants as well. Usually aren't that much. 2 were pulled out because they were just tiny cripplings. Others are going through what you described RN.

As i only got one Male of the purple Satellites all Ladies are already seeded and after smoking tests i will decide what's being worked on.

Pic 1+3 is more stocky #1,#4 and 2 is #2 more lanky Like twice the internodial spacing, her Clone has crazy thick stem already

Malawi leaning MPCK#4 starting to fill in . Just keeping it healthy , barely any yellow leaves . This one should get thick with all the tops . Things are filling in quickly .
