i'd proceed with extreme caution since you are using yahoo as a forwarding service from your yahoo account-not trying to troll but the jpegs will likely be seen
i'd hate to see a brother go down due to the patriot act
false wall and a piece of tape work for me and believe me-i'm all about technology-just not the kind that has stripped all privacy-internet

VISEC.COM, Go their read about it and you will see what I'm using. Don't have any illegal marijuana stuff on camera and you will be 100% ok. Plus it's great for checking out what my dog is up to during the day.

Secure internet provider......

Secure internet provider......

Payn---Great choice. Have a friend who has used them for a looooonnnnngggg time. Never an issue.

Not speaking of Yahoo...... the other mentioned. Yahoo turned over all their records to the Feds when asked....... Need to create an SSH tunnel so that not even the ISP can tell what or who is accessing. There is one issue with the SSH tunnel that has a simple fix. Be sure to e-mail them and ask them after set up so that you can do the fix. They will know what you are talking about. It is a flaw that potentially lets the ISP know which sites or who is accessing. Simple fix though.

Peace

Dude...that's like poking a rattlesnake with a stick. I'm sure the poison running through your body would be a rush too. Main reason I could see using cameras in a remote location would be if the place was somehow not in your name and could not be traced to you then I could understand wanting to know what's going on before visiting. I'm gonna use them, along with some remote sensors, to monitor some basics so I can take a peek instead of having to trudge out to the back 40.

my hero:

Sacred: were you referring to the X10?

I have decide to go with the Digi-watcher
It does everything the other systems do and for only 40 bucks! Plus I like the web site, no advertising nonsense to sort through.
Also it is really surprising to me that those X10 systems need seperate motion detectors for each camera and are not capable of recognizing motion via the software alone. This suggests to me that these are outdated surplus that didnt sell back in the nineties. Just a thought, no proof or nutin.

Ahhh, glorious! As far as the encrypted email and all that goes. Im not so sure I understand it all but I dont think I will have to. All my internet activities will be routed through Findnot.com

I think that will solve most of my problems, only time and actions will determin that. The computer I will be using for this will also serve for an intellidose controller, as well as my office. Well really just surfing the net reading posts like these.

Word :muahaha: :muahaha: :beat-dead

On a side note, does anyone know how to possibly remotely operate a valve to say,,, flood the house with natural gas, and then trigger a spark? just curious, ya know. good info to have.
Check out smarthome.com They've got all kinds of remote control stuff. No phone line needed. Works through broadband. Easy setup. Going to employ some of it myself.

Check out growtronics. They have PLC's (programable logic controller) that control hydro systems and many other little garden gadgets. I'm sure that if you wanted to blow up your house remotely, it could be done with a valve controller PLC.

On a side note of my own - I like you! That's too fucking cool. We'd get along great thinking like that. Talk about anarchy... :woohoo:

Payn4school: Look into the X10 type of technology.. If you run HID lamps they might throw off the X10 ability to communicate. Something about the enery herts or wave lengths or something lke that:) lol. i'm no electrician... Good luck, i hope it works out.. let us all know.. it would do us all here a bit of good health to know for sure that our property is safe or not.. I know for sure,, i have at least two gray hairs on my head because of "crop paranoia"... I always take as much security as i can when it comes to things of this nature.. so let us all know how the "remote access" works out.. be well. peace...

I installed some equipment in one location that had a pressurized cannister of bear spray hooked up to a remote device connected to a cellphone. If the door to the room was breached before the alarm was deactivated, the cellphone would call another cellphone and then you could activate the bear spray. Makes a room un-occupiable for a few days, unless you're wearing NBC suits.

Best Regards
