Those are tomato hornworms. They look sorta similar, but these are butterflies.

I got 3 more hatchlings and don't know what type of butterfly caterpillars they are yet. I thought swallowtails, but will have to research em up.
They were fighting a minute ago over the same leaf. hilarious...whack..
I almost got a movie of the fight, but only got the last round on film.

I say by tomorrow morning we will have a glorious jade green and gold studded chrysalis (cocoon)!!! I can't wait! Wonder where they get the gold? Ya'll gonna hafta see it to believe it...

One is almost through changing into a chrysalis.

A second caterpillar is starting to change. The first is shrinking and turning hard. It's ass is now stuck to the twig and it's head just changed right before I knew it!
By morning will have 2 at least maybe 3 turned into chrysalis. es... or is it chrysali? pleural hahaha..
