Hello all, this is a journal for my home grow. Hope you grab a chair, and say hello. Please feel free to chime in on anything as I am always learning new things.

Current Space
4x4 tent for flower and 2x2 tent for moms. Rack with cheapish LEDs for seed sprouting and clones.

Lighting
315w CMH for bloom, MarsHydro TS600 for moms, basic LED strips for plant rack. Will probably upgrade to a GrowerChoice or nicer LED in the near future.

Nutes & Stuff
I use Tupur soil and run a mixture of Elevation Organics and some other bloom boosters, enzymes, and Recharge/Myco+. I would love to get into ROLS or even a no till bed.

Genetics
I've been collecting various genetics in seed form but have started to also make my own crosses. I have a buddy who gives me pollen that he collects and I also flower out males and collect as well. Currently flowering out Soar from Supernatural Selections, C99 from Relic, Colorado Meds from Nerds, and some different phenos of crosses I made. Those crosses are Blue Lemons (Lemon Lotus x (Harlequin x Blue Heron)) and Great Unknown (Appalachian Super Skunk x (Tigermelon2 x Sunshine Daydream)). I also have some Pirouette (Dosido x Hazelnut), Cookies and Cheese (Platinum Huckleberry Cookies x Exodus Cheese BX1), and Grapefruit Web (Grapefruit F2 x Charlottes Web) seedlings just popping out of their shells.​

Currently as of 05/15 current tent is at day 21

Collected some pollen today​

This is all I need to F2 and find a keeper, I got one more male dropping pollen on some foil right now. Always got to be extra careful when I flower males. I usually spray my body down with water when I am done in that room and shower/change before I hit the bloom tent. I dropped a few pieces of rice in the tube even though we do have a pretty dry climate already.

New seedlings, starting to stretch a little but I think it will be fine.

Day 22​

Blue Lemons (Lemon Lotus x (Harlequin x Blue Heron)
Starting to smell super fruity, can't really put my nose on it yet, not really used to these terpenes since I have been smoking gassy, chemmy stuff lately.

Colorado Meds #2
I'll keep saying this, this is one of my favorite plants this seed run. The other pheno is very underwhelming compared to her sister. Starting to pack on mad frost and bulk at Day 22. Please correct me if I am wrong but I feel like this is a Skywalker OG dom pheno just based on structure and the way its flowering.

It’s been a while - since 2021, in fact. A few chapters of life have come and gone, and I’m finally in a place where I can revisit my love for growing quality cannabis for myself and friends. A breakup and some tough living situations kept me from growing for the last three years, but things have settled enough that I’m back at it.

Some things have changed since I last posted, so I figured I’d kick things off with a fresh update.

Current Space​

I didn’t have a ton of money to throw at this new setup, so I’ve been working with some relics from the past. I currently have two 4×4 tents (both showing their age) and a 3×3 tent I use for drying. One of the older Vivosun tents will likely be gifted or sold for cheap, and I plan to replace it with a new 4×4 from AC Infinity. For now, I'm growing in an older AC Infinity 4×4.

A goal of mine is to run seeds in either coco or soil to hunt for keepers, then run those selected genetics through a dialed-in RDWC setup.

Lighting​

I’m currently flowering and vegging in a 4×4 under the AC Infinity IONFRAME EVO6. For seed starts and light veg, I’m using a Spider Farmer SF1000. Soon, I plan to pick up a 2×4 IONFRAME from AC Infinity to better handle early veg and seed starting.

Nutrients & Stuff

Right now I’m running Lotus nutrients in RDWC. While I love Lotus for DTW, I’m finding it leaves a fair amount of sediment in RDWC, which they say is normal - but it’s making me consider switching to a liquid nutrient line more suitable for recirculating systems.

Current Genetics
​

My first run back was a learning experience. I tried doing a seed run in RDWC (not the best idea in hindsight). I ran Strayfox’s Hollywood Daydream (LA Pure Kush x SSDD). My favorite pheno hermed, and I didn’t find any true keepers, so I didn't save clones. Still, it was solid practice to shake the rust off.


Currently, I’ve got Superboof and Candy Fumez #6 in my 4-site RDWC system after a full reset. I’m acquiring more genetics slowly and safely, primarily through clones. I’m also planning to get into grafting so I can keep multiple moms tiny in bonsai form with multiple genetics per mom for long-term maintenance.


In addition, I’ve just started some seedlings that should be ready to move in a couple weeks. These include:

• 4x Bloom Seed Co. mystery freebies
• 4x Strayfox Gardenz Iraqi Skunk x NL5

I germinated them in paper towels and transplanted to BuildASoil Light Blend under the SF1000, currently sharing the space with some veggies. I plan to grow them out and flip them mid-cycle with the Superboof and Candy Fumez.

My seed list isn't as big as some but its pretty vast. I am going to start planting more seeds. This is what my seed list is looking like these days.

I am going to be focusing on a lot of Doc D genetics and I just placed an order with Doc D this month. I will be adding some more awesome genetics to this list and I will probably be placing another order this month. The thing I am looking at popping are the Black Energy seeds.

Hollywood Daydream (Germ & Early Veg)

I started these seeds with a new technique that I found on YT this time around. I ended up germinating the beans as normal but let the tap root go longer. Once the tap roots were long enough, I gently wrapped them in some pH balanced rockwool. I gave them light Clonex nutes for a few weeks and eventually switched them to a light lotus blend towards the end of their time in the EZcloner.

Hollywood Daydream (Mid - Late Veg)​

At this point in the game I pulled the ladies out of the EZcloner carefully, the roots had intertwined a tiny bit and I needed to be a bit delicate when unraveling them. I wanted to go RDWC from the beginning but to get these girls in their homes a bit early before I had everything to build the system, I got them situated in separate DWC buckets. I ended up using these buckets throughout the build, it was a cheap build but it came at the cost of not having as large of a res as I liked, and it was also placed inside the tent. This is something I am going to try and figure out before I flip the next run. I just need to order a few more bulk heads from PA hydro and make a new piece to relocate the res outside of the tent.

I finally got them out of the tent small closet and got the older 4x4 AC Infinity tent set up, I started sizing all the PVC for the bucket to bucket recirculation. I also got the new 4x4 EVOFRAME from AC Infinity and got the ladies under a new light. They were super responsive and love being under it.

Hollywood Daydream (Late veg - Bloom)​

At this point I was running out of time to build the system before heading to Love Burn. I needed to get the RDWC built and get these ladies flipped. So that's exactly what I did.

Hollywood Daydream (Bloom)​

At this point they were flipped for 2-3 weeks and I had to head down to Miami for Love Burn. I entrusted one of my oldest grow buddies to come top the res off for a few weeks. I definitely should have been home at this time as the ladies needed a lot of attention and probably could have used a good defoliation or two while I was gone for weeks 4-5 of flower. I had one pheno that didn't stretch at all. Two phenos that had the same stretch and looked like more LA Pure Kush phenos and one big pheno that took up a lot of the canopy, I was super stoked to run this again, but my favorite pheno hermed while everyone remained unphased.

​

I came back from Love Burn and everything was moving right along, I definitely should have skirted these girls a bit more as there was a lot of larf at harvest. As mentioned I didn't end up keeping any of these phenos but in hindsight I should have kept the #3 to re-run because upon sampling it didn't have any seeds from the nanners that popped up and they were completely sterile.

I got a lot of pretty sift from trimming, 4-7 grams of this kind of quality sift. It definitely makes for a nice topper.
