These days you don't need to go through the illicit market. You just ask a doctor for it by name. Tell him you saw an ad for it.

I know plenty of people, including my friends mom, who is a pharmacist, that are speedballing EVERYDAY on benzodiazepines and amphetamines, fully legal, prescribed from the doctor. Like Elvis... The doc tells em to stay away from that wacky weed though! That shit is bad for ya!

I was prescribed amphetamines when I was 16-20. What a wild time.
...I met the drummer for Canned Heat when I was on 18 and on cross-tops.....

I had my MJ plants growing in the backyard and the guy popped his head over the fence and started talking about 'the good old days' I was just tripping if he was cool or not the whole time he was talking he was looking at the plants.....cool guy.....

How long what? Have I been using the gyp and oyster? Probably a year or two...no lime whatsoever. :)

Like MM said tho - with quality humus component ya probably don't need either - but might as well cover yer ass and take the nutrition to boot.

Damn...take a night off and you are pages behind.

This is my second yr outdoor without dolomite. I don't think I would ever use it...and I was coming at it from a mineral balance point of view, not a pH point of view.

Even if you believe in pH (or think you need to actively manipulate it) it is the carbonate that matters...not the Ca or Mg. You are providing the carbonate with oyster shells (CaCO3) anyways. So the only thing you are missing is the extra Mg which is working to compact your soil anyways.

I guess I gotta confess I did fook about with the gypsum (CaSO4) and CaCO3 ratios trying to manipulate pH...in retrospect probably a wasted excercise.

I am not sure that I have enough good compost/wc to go without yet. But I do see that as a very worthwhile goal eventually.

Common-Sense
Compost Making

by the Quick Return Method

http://www.journeytoforever.org/farm_library/QR/QRToC.html

This book describes a way of making compost, i.e. humus, which is simply, labour saving (no turning) and quick, both in ripening the compost and in getting results in the soil. It is adaptible to all conditions and to every size and type of garden, allotment or farm, the process being based on nature's own methods.

Miss Bruce tells how to make use of the natural heat of disintegration, which liberates the vitality of the plants; how to retain that vitality within the heap, and how to quicken both the disintegration of plants and the energizing of humus by treating the heap with a simple activator. This is a herbal solution which contains in living plant form the chief elements necessary to plant life; formulae are given.

The website which posted the book is also worth checking out as well.

"Now what is the message there? The message is that there are no "knowns." There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we do not know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns. It sounds like a riddle. It isn't a riddle. It is a very serious, important matter."
