The ingredients on any product is there to let the consumer know what went in it - obviously.
With compost those ingredients are no longer what is listed on the label, i.e. there is no cow manure anymore - it's now humus. It would be the same if brown leaves were added to the compost pile - at the end of the cycle you wouldn't find leaves. You have humus.

I visited another friends garden. Despite my best advice, he seems to be struggling, as I looked around I noticed bottles of ph up and down and calmag. What happened to the compost? "Oh I am gonna start that next spring, the guy at the hydro store sad this stuff was better anyway" That must be why you have no trichomes and it smells like hay...

Got me a cheap cam now so been taking some pics.
I love aloe i am a firm believer in the powers of aloe in MJ cultivation. this will be my start point for trying to convert the many chem users. not sure the best way to process yet but i keep the leafs whole for when i am taking cuttings, i just stick them fresh cuts directly into the leaf spin it around and then plant into potting mix. Used to lost more than half by the first week to rotting, its been the second week and still got %100 alive.
When you reap don't leave the whole leaf just lying around, after a week or two the water evaporates and it leaves very little material to work with imo its best to process asap after reaping. I extracted and blended some of the soft gel like insides and bottle it quickly so it doesn't change to a dark color. (some kind of unwanted light reaction causes this to start producing an acid hence the color change.) the mixture needs straining because when i add it to the spray can it clogs the nozzle. this is my first time with the processing. A work in progress.
I wonder if the solid aloe extract (aloe bitters)sold in stores has these same benefits or if the befits are because the plant i use is alive. I've only seen benefits so far in the cutting process and it seams it would kill root rot on contact so it may help with sooty mold (that would be a good send, i was advised to use mathadile, not my thing at all) i will do a foliar and see what happens, i think this will just keep the plant clean and rot free, and since the shit is bitter as hell some insects might not like it.

Been growing the best herb i ever did, this season thanks largely to this tread and you guys. I find the yield is reduced allot, anyone noticed this?
My Tester "out cold" after half a joint of my latest F2 from bag seed. First time i got her put down she ent even get on the bed properly This bitch smokes my shit all day.
I now feel accomplished. 
A close up of some Bayleafs i want to Fpe they have a mold on the surface, should i remove this or is it good? how do i tell the difference. And some close ups of what indica look like in the tropics, that's a whole plant.

Just had a good friend leave my house last night with Earth Worm Castings, some of my recycled "super soil" that I'll no longer be using and a few other items.
He will be going to the nursery to get more earth worm castings, lava rock and Sphagnum peat moss today.
This month begins his first trouble free grow.
Finally got him to sell the whole Hydro setup and get rid of EVERYTHING.
I think that having a shit run in hydro with a ba jillion bugs and every other problem has led him to go this route.
He was bummed to switch, loves hydro and said... man, how much will this cost... haha
After everything I gave him, I said... bout 40 bucks and then you're done!
He smiled... took a hit and said, this was grown in soil? Yes, with just water...
"Okay, I'm in" haha Good for him. I can't wait to see his results.

Two years here and no buggers - less than a month after bringing cuts in and there's a little family on a flowering plant (40 days in) that is two stories away from the veg room LOL
Sprayed it down with a cilantro tea i happened to be soaking anyways to hit the dispens cuts and the whole veg room, looks like i'm gonna be back into a routine of preventative maintenance - cilantro, neem, cilantro, neem etc....
And bug free life was sooo goood....
This Acapulca Gold cut better be #$@*! good! And these java, kamodo cuts the owner swears by....... I have no idea what any of these damn things really are - although the kamodo looks mean, i have an eye on her.... and the A Gold is at least very sativa (thin ass leaves)

Made a trip to my nearest feed store yesterday, scored pretty well!
1. Alfalfa pellets, the guy gave me a small bag instead of having to buy a whole 50lbs.
2. Kelp meal, over the phone they said it comes in 50lb bags but when I got there I saw 10lb bags on the shelf for $12.
3. Oyster shell, 5lbs for $3.
Question about the oyster shell, it's not a powder like I expected, it's chunks around 1/4". Should I crush it? Should I add it as it? Should I use it as aeration, I haven't got my aeration figured out yet.

That's the oyster shell for chicken feed I believe - grind it to a powder, I'm unsure of it's benefits though, maybe very slow to break down..... it's not the oyster shell powder discussed here that's mined from the bottom of SF Bay from ancient deposits....

Ask for Rice Hulls (for aeration) at that feed store, sometimes labeled as Perma-Bedding or Perma-Stall for horses, 50lb bale is $9 for the bedding, food grade rice hulls is more like $35 to $40...

Prevention is far easier than eradicating - or at least in my experience
Maybe consider this - combine the two. Make your cilantro tea as usual, dilute it to the correct ratio and use that as your water when you process the oil - double-whammy

I am part of a group in the northeast called the Bio-nutrient Food Association and I was on their website and I found a great link to local sourced rock dusts. Its called Rockdustlocal.com and they are our of VT. They many different fines from many different localities. They also do inoculated bio char, humates, many different types of fines and rock dust mixes. They also have some great info types of rock fines and uses.
The Bio-nutrient web site has a lot of great links, info and resources for high brix nutrient dense food production and soil remediation. The Bio-nuitrient Asso. was started by the same people who started Reminerlize the Earth.
And for anyone in the area and interested there is a great soil conference in Western MA.
It is run by NOFA and the Bio-nutrient Assoc. and will be a awesome wealth of knowledge. I went to one last year and was blown away (so were other farmers who have been doing this their whole life). John Kempf is the next Albrecht, his understanding of the soil and the factors that influence it are matched by few people. Here is the link to the out line of the 2 days. The great part is its real informal and they have group lunches. Either you give money or bring produce and while the seminars are going fresh local food is prepaired for you. Everyone eats communally and can ask any questions you have, the presenters and very kind and just want to help.
