CC, I got some wonderful shots driving south along the coast where sky and fog and sea were indistinguishable and the bluffs just dropped. It was amazing.
I've just sent them a note asking why they are still publishing this statement.

I spend as much time 'over at the coast' as possible as the expression goes around here.
Newport Bay is great because you can buy fresh fish right from the boats - about as fresh as it gets. A group of us go crabbing a few times during the season which is pretty fun. The first of the Dungeness crabs are hitting the fish markets though the major commercial harvest has been delayed for 3 weeks to increase the meat content (Pacific Marine Fisheries)
Some great hiking trails off of PCH as well as the Coast Trail which goes from Astoria down to the California border. All done by volunteers and private donations which is pretty cool I think.

I like that area quite a bit. There's enough population to have real stores and services but just a few miles south and you're in the wilderness right along the coast highway.
The area between Devil's Lake down to Depoe Bay and then down to Neport - lots of nice areas. Newport is the largest city on the Oregon Coast with the possible exception of Coos Bay which you do not want to live at or near. Old port city that's seen better days.
Best to really enjoy rain however - LOL

I'm guessing this is because they want you to buy more?
That seems crazy, I'm going to activate a small amount and use the fresh activated EM-1 instead of the bottled EM-1.
Just blows me away the website wouldn't mention Activated EM-1 in all of their application instructions... hell, even on the how to activate page, http://www.teraganix.com/Activated-EM-1-s/261.htm, they don't mention why.

I do 1 part EM: 1 part molasses; 18 parts no chlorine water - keep at 94 to 104 degrees for 5 days or until pH drops to 3.4 (3.5 is acceptable) or lower. I screwed a light fixture into lid of cooler and use compact flourescent 100 watt equivalent and 2 liter pop bottles filled with tiny air space with caps on tight...loosen to offgas and tighten with a slight mild mix daily (just upend the bottles once)
This is for soil, not ingestion.

it seemed teeming with people when i was there,of course i had been working on an island in alaska with a year round population of 23 people...
good little surf break right there at hubbards creek,theres was a half decent library,the grocery store had a number of cases of pretty good vintages they were selling for peanuts,and the guy down the road had some good buds...plus i had an awesome secret oyster mushroom patch....
that town is just so bloody charming,its almost nauseating! really a most excellent spot for some serious porch sittin

It's hard to explain. Here on the east coast, even if you manage to live in a place with barely double digit population density, even if the huge cities are far away, so much east of the Appalachians is PACKED. The Oregon coast felt incredibly isolated to me, and I suspect this is mostly from my personal experiences on the East Coast.
I've been wanting to ask you guys about Oregon's mmj program. I understand it's more difficult to get a card there. Those of you willing to answer: do you have a legitimate medical need, are recreational card prescriptions as common as CA, and I guess the roughest question is have I just been assuming you guys are legal at state level?

i used to live out east,i understand what you mean,i can barely stand to go back there its too crowded for me...you want to talk empty land you should see new mexico,its just mile after mile of nothing but mile after mile....literally millions of acres of BLM land everywhere here,oregon is quite crowded in comparison...

If you get stopped by a cop in a med state, and you have a few clones in the passenger seat, can he still arrest you, or will he honor your card?
I am under the impression that in many cases the mmj laws only act as defense in court and you are still subject to arrest.

I think the best answer is it depends and is very circumstantial, county to county, the cops mood, the level of ignorance on both sides....
...all I know is the doc told me "just try not to travel with more than like 6 or 8 pounds". LOL
That actually varies county to county and sometime town to town. My county/area/city will not arrest you with a few clones and a med req.
A few years ago if the CHP pulled you over and seen clones/MJ in your car, you would be arrested and items confiscated. Then goto court and have the charges dismissed (or whatever). But ASA sued their punk asses and the CHP don't do that no more. They let you go on your merry way. As long as you have that req.
In San Fran I walk around with a joint in my mouth no prob...Police pass by and sometimes honk but they don't even pull you over... (My experiences)

I know of at least one court case where the words "medical marijuana" aren't allowed, the jury decides their verdict no different than the average street dealer (big time dealer). Super nice fuckin people too, couldn't imagine wanting him put away for years nd years.....
