UncleFS, yes. The Cowboy stuff would work. It's smooth and shiny as Surfer pointed out. Crush it.

would the activated carbon from a old filter be useful in that capacity? that would be great to be able to fully recycle those,my local scrap metal place will take the shells, but the old carbon i never have found a good use for...

I think next time a tree comes down I'll be digging a trench and trying some old school char production with brush and dirt.

Still quite amazed at the fact that she's a BOEL 'cut only' from 1984......I officially personally dismiss the 'loss of vigor through cuttings over time' myth.

It's great to see a variety so well cared for over the years that is still giving up the goods. You don't often see or hear of a cut still in use today that is pushing up on 30 years. Nice work, Gas.

Thank Mr.Coot......it's his sweat and blood of decades past that gave us this finer specimen.

90% of plant maladies are caused by cultural errors...
and there is a miracle product that boost yields and increases terpenes and the like...its called "Knowledge"....

In the past, I've wondered if this loss of vigor, or the introduction of odd traits, is just plausible possibly due to the occasional exposure to UV-b. UV triggers events, so it fed my theory.

I've never seen this, but have read the debates.

I don't know you guys... I was just in the defoliation thread... and there is a guy that is getting HUGE results.

You've got to BELIEVE!!!

I just read this somewhere:

The world around us is physics devoid of meaning
Wheras our perception of the world is meaning devoid of physics

That you gotta believe does not make it hurt any less when you jump off the barn roof believing you can fly.

Me too, you just have take better cuts and care of successive cuts you take. You can take a reveg plant or clone and let it get 1-2 feet before it grows out of it's reveg funk same for a clone that is in real bad shape. Keep taking clones of the best growth at the height of the plant through successive generation of clones and you will have 'rehabilitated' your plant. You can 100% grow them out of their deformities, lack of vigor, weakened structure, and the supposed 'genetic drift' as they like to call it in the pot world.

If there is any truth to this BS it is this chain of events on the reverse.

Taking shitty, unhealthy, and less vigorous cuts off moms, off moms and so on..ultimately ending up with a shitty ass cut that still has the capability to pull out of that retarded growth if you give it the right attention and start taking better cuts.....maybe???

We've kicked around the 'defoliation' trend before, possibly beat it like a dead horse if I remember right....as you can see,the older members here have the idea that plants need their leaves for photosynthesis. The only time I remove leaves is when they are blocking flowering sites of light....or removing suckers from the lower canopy.

This plant will carry 95% of it's leaves all the way through flower...BO x NLH...it's that dirty ol' bad guy satan trying to make you sin...trying to get you to tear the love of B-jeeezuz right off the plant before the plant is done utilizing those sugar factories..lordy.

Wouldn't that be fucked if religion was more integrated in cannabis politics than it is already...there'd be blood.
