Theoretically we could capture huge amounts of our CO2 emissions and store them underground for extended periods while we figure out how to stop emitting so much and move onto other sources of energy that don't involve playing with our atmospheres chemistry.

Plant trees man, lol. I don't think there is any proven affordable technologies on storing carbon underground yet. Coal pushers talk a lot about clean coal by sequestering carbon, but so far no proof.....scrappy

Whole heartily agree that was a dick thing to say thanks for pointing that out and exactly why. I agree and there are many other threads on here where the elitists could use some people to speak on that fact. It is impossible to breed with the 'proper' numbers in nearly every country in the entire world today. Everything can turn out amazing many one to ones have been huge successes, poly's arent the devil they are made out to be constantly, and neither is selfing, but I would at least suggest working with populations of 20 or more especially when selfing. Unfortunately it is impossible to expect anyone to work with real Mendellian numbers given today's governments. That is just entirely unrealistic. Quite a few breeders on here though seem to like to convince people they are destroying the gene pool by doing so. Sad. Maybe it is just protecting their market share? :D

Now here's Tom with the weather. :peek:

....Okay,this guy checks out^^^......he's cool..I think..;)

I at least start with 20 ..if I'm serious about a particular type.

Some crosses/hybrids seem to take on a destiny of their own...almost on a spiritual level...guiding you in your dreams to do certain things. Whilst others are abandoned...simply because something better came along.

20? try 200 at a minimum

...again...would love to.

There were times when I had the opportunity to pop thousands outdoors..that was cool!

Some pollenations don't produce much seed...others massive amounts..just depends on what's going on @ the time. The Ghaze female I have never likes to make seed..

Because if there's nothing you know is really bad about the soil, I personally would take the opposite approach and get known beneficial microbes to work for you. Then plant a companion plant to get things really hopping. After a period of time, plop your real plant in

Quality beats quantity in the gene pool. Look at my favorite breeder Bodhi, he boasts of a small, yet elite collection.

It does however help to understand what your odds are in getting the desired characteristics and/or having deleterious genes tagging along based on Mendelian inheritance patterns.

Anyone that has incredible rare genetics should be finding ways to preserve and explore the genetic material any and all ways possible. But with polyhybrids, they should also be warned that they could come up with a lot of duds that don't resemble the parents, it really is a gamble. I only dedicate a small portion of the room to "plants of unknown quality" now so I don't end up with 75% of my harvest being breeding experiments gone wrong.

In a perfect world, there would be a place like Johnny's or Fedco offering cannabis seed, but for now we have to deal with the subcool's of the world.

I do what I can....

It is all about how much space you can dedicate to unknowns...fer sure....and a gamble indeed. Research types and aquire solid genetics....the chances improve.

Hey Coot...what do ya think about VR x NLH...made aprox 3000 beans...and only ran 1 of the original F1 females....so the repopulation is F2 from SOLID parents.

PS...posting on a smartphone sucks.

I ran that exact cross for 3 years at my location and it was passed off to an associate and he ran it for 2 or 3 years indoor with some outdoor grows in South County......

Very long flowering time indoors. Very intense sativa....big shoes sativa....transcendental and speedy. But that was one female so what do I know.

Dried looked hazy....not sure about a 'bag appeal' worthy commercial type. More head gear huh?
I'll try and find the pic...

There were some sativa dominant ones that showed the fullest range of colors in the last 2 weeks of flowering. You know how some plants will yellow and it quickly looks like these leaves are dying? The normal deal.

I'm assuming it's from the Thai genetics in VR but you can see golds, reds, blues, purples, etc. and especially it will manifest that in the sugar leaves so that when the flowers are dried those sugar leaves will weave in and around almost looking like the threads in the paper money from yesteryear. It was pretty stunning and a novelty and you can guess the rest - Laguna Beach crowd loaded with too much expendable income to burn and here you have a 'bag 'o buds' that looked different from the majority of product floating around Anaheim, East Santa Ana, Buena Park and of course my favorite OC burg - Brea. LMAO

Okay here she is...at like 80 days or something insane like that.

Big as a football and loaded with seed...strange though that after pollenation flowering actually continued and I think I ended up chopping her when she started dropping seed into the soil and they started to sprout.
