the conduit isn't metal,
its grey pvc but with every thing screwed down into the 3/4 panel
nothings coming loose and rain on the parade.

another thing is the entire panel becomes mobile in 15 minutes
disconnect the mai, unplugged the lites,
unscrew the 4 mounting lags and it's ready to go

Yeah, I see that. Not only does it look better, I believe it's also safer that way. I'm going to do the same.

You're correct. When I saw hvacguys comment I searched for a pre-made box with NEC certification and not one showed up. NOT ONE. I don't like that. The code is there for a reason...but I don't think I have to tell you that....
