Would love to get my hands on this strain, but gotta say im shocked to see mostly southerners posting saying they have the cut. Definitely didnt expect tnjed to be posting!!!

They were called "team deathstar" it was a project with a couple of growers in Ohio at the time. They are responsible for a few other strains also

At one point they had a bunch of crosses DumpStar (Dumpster x Sensi Star), HuckleStar (Huckleberry x Sensi Star), BubbleStar (Indiana Bubblegum x Sensi Star) and one or two others.. The DumpStar and BubbleStar were two of my personal favorites but I wasn't able to track those down and last thing I knew the guys didn't have em anymore. It's been years since I've seen any of the crosses but I do know that the DS BX ECSD is still around and commonly mistaken as the original, run it and see.. If it's more Sativa dominant in it's characteristics are more fuely and less spicy, than toe-jam-fuel-funk than it's probably the BX. The original has alot closer internodes and it's kinked in every possible direction, looks like a zig-zag pattern, the BX has some of that but is much less kinky, but equally stinky...

That makes sense to me. I have both cuts that came (indirectly) straight from 1 of the crew members while they were in Ohio. I was told gas cut is more fuel tasting so ecsd bx makes total sense.

On a random note, I heard but can't confirm that the sensi star used was in fact Ogre. Anyone else heard this

Not completely sure whether the Ogre thing is possible to confirm or not, Ogre at one point was considered a special pheno of Sensi Star and I remember at one point people thinking it was but the only thing I can confirm from past conversations with the crew nearly 10 years ago, about the Sensi Star used was the fact that it was a pre-96 Sensi Star (before Paradise reworked the line). The kinky branching and metallic, citrus, funk was a hallmark of the original release Sensi Star. The female cut from their selection does still exist in the general area with a few people carrying it in the NW and the dirty mitten area.

Have you made crosses with your death star cut? Ive got a few rolling currently. My first cross I popped turned out really nice.

Those all sound really nice, especially the Cocoa Kush and BlueStar crosses you did, that Blue Star looks mighty tasty.

I've done a few crosses with the original cut, one by reversing a cut of GG4xSour Kush that AcridLab bred which has been in testing and showing great results, try to get some pics sometime and another using a White Fire x Emperor Kush male, unfortunately those beans kinda got lost in an incident but they were amazing, thinking about eventually redoing that one as I still have some of the parental stock but haven't had the time lately to do selection for.

Glad to hear people are still in love with the original and still working on new things with her though. She'll always be one of my Top 5 :good:

Never heard that one before and never heard them claim that before, they definitely had the Dumpster cut, but they didn't create it. Dumpster came out of the capitol, DeathStar came from slightly further south. :tiphat:

I like the rubber funky fuel she puts out. I tossed her to run some og kush cuts and now I'm in the works on getting her back she's that good.

Damn everyone is killing it with the deathstar and crosses! I've had a change to smoke her a couple of times and she sure is nice!

I was wondering, is deathstar one of the parents of skywalker og?

There are quite a few SkyWalker strains but I believe sky og is OG kush (who knows which 1) x Skywalker. I think the skywalker was Dutch passion (Mazar x Blueberry)

There is a dude named Pip that started Souvenir seeds and he has fem versions of Deathcoast he claims from original moms same as the Ohio crew. Pretty pricey at $250 for 6 female beans.
Anyone know anything about this ? Legit or not ? Seems up and up but that’s high dollar seeds man unless they grow clone quality genetics.

Pip is legit. He has many elite clones in his garden. His Deathstar is 100% legit. Now his prices:nono: way to much for my cheap azz
