nice work fuzzy........I think i prefer bubble cloners overall due to the huge amount of numbers you can fit in one coupled with the fact that you can just set it and forget it.....but this is a nice design bro..........thanks for sharing!

that looks awsome m8 well done how much does it cost to build?

if in 10 days they look good, i suggest everyone build one of these, it cost probably about 45 dollars to build if you were to buy everything new. alot less for us scavengers.

neat cloner, cool idea using fog...i've seen the misting action before at the hydro shop, but never fog...thats cool as hell

This did come out really nice. But I still need to let you know, you can just buy the fogger discs and then you dont have to cut and mount the humidifier.

I think www.mainlandmart.com I used to get them from. I really like this idea, show me roots ;)

nice one fuzy... always an interest in the foggers... but i've never seen one work, and lord knows there have been many threads and many tries.

does water drip at the end of the stem? if not the dry fog is good, but the stems need gel at the end to prevent air goin up, hmmm anyways, hopin this works for ya, sure seems a sweet machine, let us know!

hey guys, i'm a real douche bag. i have this tendency to start threads and not really follow up on them, i'm sorry. a couple days after building this i let the water run out, most of the clones were wilted when i got to it. after replacing the water about 2/3 of them popped back and are in good shape. 10 days after cutting there were barely any roots on any of them, most did not root at all. this could be due to the low temp, basically room temp, 63 last i checked. been busy last couple of days and really didn't check on it. probably will be going there later tonight or tomorrow and we'll get some pics . till then :)

What a good idea .

What a good idea .

I `ve been thinking about this for a while now . I saw one of these used in a vivarium and thought that it would work for cloning .

WHen my new mothers are big enough to take clones i think i`ll build one ,

DOes the board think that 1 fogger unit will do for a small cloning machine ( 2 litre box )

.

Has anybody used one of these little things B4

They have them on Ebay and i also found them at maplin.co.uk (£12.99) aswell.

Happy fogging .

They're fine if you use plain water, like fuzygrowth says (he's using distilled, IIRC). I tried building a fogger aero system like that NutraFog or NutraMist or something some time back using chemical nutes, but the fogging discs clogged up way too easily. Had to keep taking them out and scrubbing with a toothbrush. Finally I gave up... never occurred to me that they'd be useful for cloning!

For cloning they should be fine; your single head unit should produce enough fog for your size. The trick is to keep the water level at an optimum; they sell donut-shaped floats to help with this, if you can't otherwise keep your water level steady.

I wonder if a small amount of Rhizotonic would clog up the heads... :chin:

Hey Fuzygrowth, have you thought about rigging a float switch to your vaporizer? It seems like it would eliminate the problem that you had. Now, to find a float switch that will fit... :chin:

fuck......... i was there tonight, water was almost out. thought to myself " i should really put in the float valve i ordered and has been sitting around for a week" now just checking the thread and realize, i left with out refilling the water. wont be able to go out there for a couple more days, those guys are as good as dead. shame too, most had already rooted :( oh well, my moms need some trimming anyway, time for more cuttings :) .

bhuddahat.....That single disk is far more than enough. Make sure you buy the float to go with it. Buy them from Mainland Mart like a previous post mentioned.

The guys on this thread are doing it the hard/stupid way.

Just place your floater disk inside any container with water and it's an instant fog cloner. You don't have to dick with elevating the chamber, tubing, water lines, etc.
