Do a close up on the buds...
only bud pics soorry. everything smoked pretty terrible btw, potency was not the best but not bad

trying to get my next grow to finish proper though (150w hps and a touch of kingbrite led), ideally lush green to finish, and a select few of the largest fan leaves have gone 100% yellow. at least that is what i remember from back in the day

Polyhybrids cookie borings strains...and shit soil. thats why brother ;)
Nah that's too far fatched.. blaming soil ? What's next ?
The cookies strains from before 10 years was killer, maybe not as strong as the kush of that time but an amazing smoke.
Now it's extinct, even the "boring" hybrids that was very good.

I think there's just too much money now in this industry, no one wants people to hit something special that easy, it will undermine the next person in the chain who gets money from seeds/clones/buds

it is one of the buds from the top of the frame nearest the light (critical skunk). this crop made it through the end of winter and the initial light shock of the first time i put them under led in such low humidity (my first use of led btw)

took a few weeks for the plants to recover and i could only keep the light at 30% after that and this picture is them finishing at mid april

i've learned that all weed looks amazing when you compare it to how it smells/smokes etc. in this case it smoked pretty darn disgusting and the terps were meh/weird

critical skunk and nl5 skunk gave me a splitting headache and dry mouth for the first few months of cure btw also then mellowed out

oddly the blandest weakest plant (ortega, bottom right corner) was the keeper, the only consistent high

my friend uses led and his tent is super hot and humid and his plants grow super big and healthy, although because he doesn't vent they are showing major stress signs and the tent reeks of mildew

i'm off tents anyway after a bout of never ending pm so for now it's hid and a sprinkle of led in the closet

sold some weed in 94, which i can only compare to an ice cream cake i recently got from the value menu at ocs

this weed....holy shit

like literal cake, it crumbled like cake, it was moist like cake, it was the dankest most complex insane deliciousness you could behold, no difference between calyx and leaf, just all cake

the smoke!..... tuh.....

like clouds of literal cream! poured across your lips, with no hint of ANY smoke, just 100% spicy soapy freshness all the way to the roach

like you could roll a bunch of roaches of this and taste anything but spice and flavour all the way

that is one example of the insane quality (offset with insane let down when the weed was trash) of the 90's

i don't know if this quality exists because i am older and buy from the value menu and don't have the connections i did in high school in the 90's but i believe this quality still exists

here actually i just realized is a real time progression of the effects of cold/low rh on a plant under led

the plant in the bottom left corner is where the outside intake is and this crop is ripening going into october. the first pic is in early september before the weather has changed and the plants are actually the healthiest i have gotten anything under the led (which is promising, had i had environmental controls in place going into winter)

then as the crop ripens and the weather gets colder you can see the effects on that plant near the intake, and also the realization i should have used a trellis d'oh

i was trying to compliment the bud being shown.... is it good.... i have no clue.... looking good means nothing... i have had some weed that looks like shit (not in a good way), that was ass-kickin.... so yes to your 'nonsense' , but i was trying to say.... nice looking bud... and that is all...

All good, Your post was about the head size that's why I read it that way.

Haze hybrids grown using the $250 LED only.

I don't have a macro lens, but at least this was finished drying and trimmed up today so it's current. And it smells great. The problem is, it's hard to know what weeds smokes like just by looking at photos.

I will chase GLA up for a price on your 5x10. BTW, are you a handy man? We can get LEDs to you cheaper in the US if you source your own drivers and don't mind a bit of assembly.

All I can see is the net lol

Lots of people really don't like net. Is that diamond pulled into squares? I just chuck diamond net away, if I get it by mistake. I pick my fights carefully.

I think nets are very overlooked equipment. To many of us, they are vital. The value of a good tight net or two, can be real money. It's worth making a big picture frame, and stapling the net to it. Making a permanent bit of kit, that can hang from the tent roof bars. Something you can use again and again. That can be moved up to the lights when the plants are being changed. So it's not in the way.
I wouldn't dream of using them elastic tent nets, or trying to pull a net tight on tent poles. Though you could sleeve the uprights to make them stronger.
The frame wins for me, as it stops the tent getting smaller when the fan is on. That is real grow space.

The plants look alright though, if you can keep them upright.

I leave my hanging at the back its a fixture now.
I've a couple of twist I can hook it onto when needed.
IMG_20230506_203541.jpg

Recently ive been pheno hunting so I've not been putting much effort towards big yeilds in favour of more plants.

I'll get back to using it though.

They're a handy bit of kit right enough.

I've got clusters of Yo-Yos on the roof bars to keep them upright, they're a pain so I leave them until they're needed.

I hate flexible nets aswell, they are trash
Best one is a solid metal garden fence, usually in green color, 7x7cm squares inside, worth a lot in the long run, when you grow tall buds this is the top 3 important things.

I use 2 layers, first is for bending and lst, 2nd layer above is to hold them nuggets from tipping over.

Something is wrong with the metabolism of the plant in the 2nd picture..
Too much N I think.

I don't get the point of saving if your not a big commercial op... If it's just a hobby why not give everything that you can ?
Why buy such a beast of a light system if you dimm it and not use it's advantages (which is make more light = more good)

Every test I see says growth is linear with the more light you add, even up to 2000+ ppfd without any enrichments, so what gives ?
If I'm able to keep temps rather cool and move my lights closer to the plants I see a raise in growth speed so reality supports this aswell.

Sure if you add co2 it will be even more faster, but you still see linear increase all the way up there.

Call me delusional but I'm missing the logic behind leds and agriculture really,
The lavander growing experiment was an eye opener to say the least.

The pictures both CannaT uploaded and unclefishstick look so different, CannaT buds are glistening, and the white truffle don't, maybe it's flash or just bad picture, but still look different.
I do ok scrimping, adding light when its needed is key, anyone can bleach plants.

Sure my friend, what picture ?
And again anyone can bleach plants, it just don't happen from light, it's heat.
It’s (generally) red photons, or very high light intensity. It’s not heat.
