lol.. those videos are too funny lazy! I felt like i was watching some freaky amateur porn or something - thanks for sharing tho, i think we all appreciate the time you put in.

On a side note, have you heard of the biowave? I've got one set up at the new spot, it's supposed to increase yields similar to C02 - only time will tell, but it's sure an interesting concept and looks gnarly..

http://biowaveindustries.com/

They say to run it for 15min per hour, and only during the light cycle. I'm interested to hear if anyone is testing this product - however, it's geared towards massive gardens/greenhouses and bears a hefty price tag ($2400). Thank jah we got one as a demo model ;)

Yeah man I saw those, their testimony is pretty convincing (as any sales pitch should be) but I've seen a research paper or two that both seemed to say, "Wow, it actually works, and more than just a little!" I don't know if I'm sold yet, but it would be fun to try. I wonder if they'd rent me one or if they have a money back guarantee?

If you're harvesting 20 lbs per cycle, a boost of 10% (22 lbs) would MORE than cover the cost of the purchase.

Even at 10 lbs per cycle, a 10% boost would net you enough to basically pay for the machine with one cycle's boost.

(If it works, of course.)

Yep, totally backing Quantums, never had one hiccup with em, (I have 17 total) Yep they run both MH and HPS, have a dimmer knob, and 2 cooling fans. Its very handy to turn down the ballasts to 50% when there is a heat wave or if you're in there working for a long time. Prices came down too, seeing em at $260 on the shelf at my local shop for 1ks, so I can maybe get another $20 off that.

hey lazy you should make some hash oil vids.

Man I would, but I don't think it would help most of you! I make batches with no less than 2-3 pounds of dried, decarbed, and lightly ground trim/popcorn per batch, last night I did about 6# with a chain wash (all the same strain) and made some GNARLY looking wash, looked like used motor oil when it was done!

Anyway, I'm about to ditch alcohol since I go through too much of it, and its fairly expensive. Talking to a company about a CO2 extraction machine, but man they ain't cheap! It would be nice to have a system I could use indoors, and that recycles the solvent. ;) I'll let you know when that comes online, should be about a month.

Oh, I had a meeting at my local club to talk about vending, and goddamit I just HAD to walk by their big-ass clone rack.

Sure enough, here I am with

1X Skywalker OG Kush (yes!)
4 X Cherry Kush
4 X Unknown Chem Dawg cuts

So yeah, that's like 23 strains right now or something. Argh! I'm trying to replace some of the strains I run now with known winners, which in my neck of the woods are everything Kush.

So at this point the Kushes I have (at least a clone or two of) are:

Triple Platinum OG Kush
SFV OG Kush (Cali Connection)
OG Kush (from the club, heard it's good)
Bubba Kush
Skywalker OG Kush
Cherry Kush

I plan on rearranging things so that 6 lights of every 8-light crop is some Kush, Sour D or Chem Dawg cut, and 2 lights of mix n' match strains. Always nice to have variety!

Also got my AC shopping done, going with 3 X 3 ton Mr Slim units, one for veg, 2 for flower, $3K a piece with the linesets. I already have the wiring so I just need an AC guy to come vacuum the lines down and plug em in. I'll start in veg, this will allow me to add 2 more 1KW MH to the veg room (already have the power and 4 light relay on hand) and keep it cool.

Then I'll do the two for flower, and add a HydroGen water-cooled CO2 generator as soon as they're live! I can't fuckin WAIT to see what it does!!! So excited!

I am not much of a fan of HI, but you are going to love having a gen. Only way to get that saturation up there, IMO. Just make sure you have the ppm monitor/controller. Pretty much essential for a gen.

Real bitch to first get your room sealed and cooled and all that, but shit, $9000 later you shouldn't have too much trouble 'keeping your cool' Lazy.

May have found you some future gaurd dogs for the 2012 rippers, they'll still be intimidating for the 2011 rippers at 7 months old, but in 2012 forget about it.
http://huntington.craigslist.org/pet/2219158585.html
Word of warning, though. They will be the furriest dog you have ever seen, they shed heavy 365 and real bad in spring and fall as they change coats.
But it only takes one to defend a yard! And they take great pride and joy in their job.

Lazy, Thanks again for sharing! Seeing how other people git er' done is always educational; especially someone who understands the pain of perpetual operations greater than 6kw.

The videos add another great perspective of your grow, to go along with all the words and pictures.

I bet your Blumat video just sold a shipping container worth of Tropf-Blumats overnight. Most people can not visualize how simple Blumats really are. Running barbed fittings in the 3/4" hose makes plumbing the system as simple as it gets, and reliable. Elevated reservoirs in an already too tightly packed grow was my only real issue with Blumats, along with the time it takes to adjust 100+drippers ;)

I am always impressed with the amount of work you are doing....

Yeah I hear you on HI, I'm not a fan either, but the funny thing is the Hydrogen puts out way more CO2 than most of the "regular" units, and is much cheaper. i plan on getting a good spare 120vac inlet valve for it, as I understand that is a common problem. Otherwise I'd have to get two of the more expensive cd-36's or whatever.

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to have dogs in my rental, and I have pet rabbits and rodents that just don't get along with dogs. At least I get free manure! :)

I looked into professional guard dogs, looks like 12-14k entry price, up to 30K for a Dobie. Ouch!

My pleasure, yep my local shop has been getting lots of orders for tubing and Blumats, they are stocking them now even. Elite Hydro kicks ass! They have 1kw Quantums for $260 ea now too.

I do try, it takes a lot of work, and I put it lots of extra effort so it always yields better and better, making extra clones etc. Been prepping 4-6# of trim and making lots of honey oil, it's pretty crazy! Nice to not have all your eggs in one basket. There's always something to do and product to mess with.

Whew, just remembered what AC is gonna do to my power bill, hahahaha! I am betting 5k a month. Don't steal power folks!

I wonder how all the outdoor guys are holding up that are still sitting on tons of 4 month old product. I've been making more oil out of leftover outdoor than anything lately for my buddies, they get a fat cut for it too. hehe

Thanks AOD! Things will get cranked up to 11 here in a few months, I'm still hoping to get a 16 pound crop in one month with some CO2. Bring on the summer heat!

...these go to eleven

My stomach hurts from laughing and face hurts from smiling. That was awesome! Thanks so much Lazyman! :tiphat: I had anticipated the videos would be detailed and insightful, but you really made it surprisingly fun. The Pure Thai was my favorite part second to you shaking that monster SSH lol.

It would be extra great if you could get a high quality camera in there and film especially the plants with the HPS lights off to show off them ladies. You might consider looking into video compression with a H264 codec so that ~30 minutes of 720P video is around 1GB with really good quality. I can help you out with the software stuff if needed or if ya ever need a camera catman. I get a long just fine with wabbits. Though my work is sloppy having no thumbs and all,lol =] Enjoy the new toys coming your way and take care!

Professionally trained guard dogs, or any professional outboarding training, are for people who are to LAZY, or inept, to train their own. A much more personal bond is created with you and the puppy as you raise them from 6-8 weeks and on. When embraced with a mixed holistic and structured approach lifestyle, there is no match. It is the structure in OUR lifestyles (lack of it) that make it hard for proper dog training.
If you ever do get interested just send me a PM. Breeding and training is a future business that I have been playing with. My Akita/GSD taught me many lessons about life and nature and dog training...Ones that won't be lost on my dumb hounds, the new additions to the familly.

Man it's been ages since I updated this thread, but here goes:

Just pulled down 8 lights over the last couple weeks, all trimmed and dried now, just starting the cure so no weights yet. The lollipops were a failure, 60 plants didn't even fill one paper groecy bag, lol. Everything else was pretty good.

BLackberry cheese was nice, good sized frosty nugs, was starting to purple so will run it for 9-10 weeks next time
Pure thai was awesome at 9.5 weeks, good sized frosty nugs too.
Maui wowie kinda sucked, smells great, but had 3-4 good nugs off 2 plants and a bunch of tiny popcorn.
SSH was great, one plant almost filled a grocery bag.
The two cChocolopes were similarly great, very nice smell too.
Wow did a bit better with more time, I let all 4 run long so they would fully purple. Amazing frost,.
G13 haze had some rot again, the buds get so big it's ridiculous! Sad to see giant colas with mold in the middle though. Otherwise outstanding stuff.

Will post weights and such in a few days.

Last night we transplanted the veg room into flower, starting with 3 gigantic moms (about 6.5 feet tall each)

1 Pineappple Thai
1 Maui Wowie
1 Truiple Platinum OG Kush

All three are in between 4 bare bulbs, so they should go bonkers.

The rest of the garden we really stuffed this time, instead of 30 plants per row we're at 37-39 each:

Row 1 is now half Jackpot and half TPOGK, with 4 Blackberry Cheese, 1 pure thai and 1 chocolope
Row 2 has the 3 moms above, plus half a row of SSH and half a row of G13xHaze.

The rsecond half of the garden comes down in a few more weeks, and looks amazing, best crop yet I think. It's amost 50/50 with Blue Dragon and Jackpot, and they are all 4-5 feet tall and covered with fat buds already. I'm stoked!

Tonight we transplant pre-veg into the veg room, that will be the tough one as there are like 2 dozen strains and hundreds of plants to choose from. I'm leaning towards my favorites though, both new and old:

Purple Gorilla
Pineapple Thai
Blue Dragon
SSH
Maybe some more Kushes and haze crosses. It's gonna be a long night! hahaha

Hope you're all doing well, I'm gonna go get some coffee before I faceplant into my keyboard. Thanks for stopping by!
