Lazy Growing

Hiya GMT
Yup, working out genetics takes time, have much respect for your stick-to-it-iveness my friend! You have more of it than you give yourself credit for!

BTW, find any new bonsai material for the summer games?

Hi Core, not so much how many grows per year I can do, but rather how many I'll sacrifice for seeds that I don't really need. If I had been organised, and not so OCD, then I'd just live with a bruised nuts mom and a smokey girl mom and take a clone when a plant is harvested and start again. Sadly smokey girl is no more, and in a few days, I have to harvest the bruised nuts girl, cut her back and try to re-veg her after failing to reveg the smokey girl. Then it's time to watch the big girl carefully for signs of bud rot around those seed husks amongst all that greenery. And move the side line of tri's into the flower chamber and start selections, sexing, and making preps for a dual seed and bud grow before the summer heat kicks in. Anyway candidates will all be posted, and I have 2 I already want to use, (proving they are good and stay tri), trouble is now waiting to find out what sex they are, bet they are the same, that's normally the way. And all these things take time, and I'm so lazy, so I say a couple of years to give myself some breathing space.

Hey Hey MGJ, sticktoitivness, lmao, love it. Yeah, If I was simply straight inbreeding, then it would be fairly simple. But that I hear can lead to probs down the line, although frankly within the kind of generations we are talking about, I doubt it would make too much diff. After all, as soon as anyone else got their hands on em, they straight away do a cross. But still, I am making seeds with me in mind. So offspring from the Big girl, will be inbreed again. As will offspring from the current tri babies. Then those 2 lines will be crossed, each time only using tris of each sex for the parents. So only 2 more generations will take, 6 separate grows, each taking 3 months, although a few of them can overlap due to the way I'll do it. The problem then will be deciding what to do next. But I still have thinking time. Am I rambling yet, feels like I am. Summer games, yes, indoor and out. Just keeping bruised nuts indoor, should be looking good if she lives all summer under bonsai conditions (lets hope I don't mess her up to), and out door, last years bonsai made through the winter and has burst into leaf now, little budlets appearing on the stem to form new lower branches, which is a nice suprise. I also added a new cutting into the outdoor arena, just for a bit of company for the outdoor one, but that hasnt rooted yet. No pics until success, that way I can deny all knowledge of it if it fails.

Hey Squidgy, glad you like em. Thanks. This thread would be nothing if I was the only one on it.

GMT  - love your approach! I relate to my bonsai the same way. It's a past-time after all  I have a couple bonsai projects that are informally running at the 8-10 year mark, still trying to decide if this summer will be the time... :biglaugh: Lotsa fun... :canabis:

gmt - long time no see. sorry to show up sparatically - still just working and sleeping - no me time. just curious to know if you would be willing to show a couple pics of your manicures right after its done. im trying to get a good idea as to what the right way of doing it is because mine always turn out like shit and i remember you saying you're really ocd about that.

Hey DP, glad you managed to pull yourself away from busy life to join us for a few. What is it you're looking for DP? Pics of manicured buds after harvest, once dried, or a plant going into reveg? The reveg I'll do, although don't copy too closely, I killed the last one. Early buds I've posted, havent shown any dry buds for a while I dont think. Let me know what youre looking for and I'll post it up.

thanks in advance. I was actually looking for just regular old manicure shots of buds right after harvest before dry. But now that you mention the reveg, that'd be nice too if you wouldn't mind. Thanks again man. Nice to be able to say hi again. But life is going to get even busier for me soon so it will be a bit before I have an opportunity to start frequenting your pad again. Laterz

Hiya GMT
I have a request - how about a picture of Jessica Simpson and Jessica Biel each holding some of your dried bud? Now that would be some real bud porn!:biglaugh:

Of course they would never give me a first never mind a second look unless they were deeply under the influence of your kind medicine :D

heya GMT

yea you need plants for seeds thats tru.....but sacrificing intire runs for seed?
pitty you could reveg that smokey girl :badday:....hope you pull the bruised nuts girl tru re-veg once you harvest her...
i know what you mean about the danger of mold on seeded buds....but its kinda similar with just flower ..i give them the same amount of time inspecting them in flower...the mold danger is always present.
Nway im staying tuned....i'd like 2 see what candidates you pickt later on....

:yoinks:  Well what on earth happened to my post
I'm sure I made one, I remember doing it, and now I come to update it and the last update is missing. Maybe something happened and I didnt redo it, but I dont remember. Ah well,
Hi DP, right, I have posted these a few pages back, but a weekend repeat is often a saviour,

Hi MGJ, I tried, but they kept smoking it all before I could get the pics lol.

Hi Core, yeah, I've lost the reveg touch, bruised nuts girl is no more either :badday: . Ah well.

Here's an old shot now, but an update for this thread, I need to take some more shots really, bottom left is smokey girl offspring, now topped, bottom right spent the night upside down out of its pot, so looks a little battered, accidents will happen. Just put into 12/12 on this shot.

Now then, it seems that my camera software will compress images for me, but at a percentage rather than a pixel count, so these turned out lower quality than I planned for them, but took no time to upload.
They may look a little fuzzy though, best looked at through 3d glasses. Just playing and these are old shots now, so thought I'd upload em. Still I'm retaining copyright over them :moon:

3d weed pics were always gonna come out at some point

I've done a few 3d shots, but no one has got any glasses, so they are wasted here a bit. I'll return with 2d next time.

wow talk about lazy posting. Sorry I let this lapse, but its over now. all of the obove were males, only one was cut back and left alive. 2 were used to pollinate the tri gril I had in flower, and the one I kept will be bonsai-ed. Now have a quad growing, but without the lower half of the seedling as a see through worm started to eat the stem and the root fell off, thats getting the best care I can give it to try to pull it through. But that will take place in the 3+3=? thread. So if ya want to see that you'll have to switch channels. This thread had its day, and now its over, been fun yall, thanks for taking part.
