hey mushupork5, that is a pet project tangient of mine; does light bother 'dro roots or is it just a precaution for algae? In the past I covered the rez to satisfy my freinds at UK420.com, who asked me to. But this time I decided to see from experience. So far its a month and the roots are copious and the plant is growing big and quickly, too. So what is one to think? I know not. But I do like the visual aid trip! (I'm a retired photographer)

i flower in 2 liter mtn dew soda bottels thier green but i still see roots, never had a problem with alge or roots harding off because of the light. the green color of the bottle helps to difuse the light

My LR2 that is two weeks younger than the LED is more advanced than the LED plant! So I've introduced a halogen bulb to widen the spectrum and switched the time to 12/12. Starting today. The plant needs a shove in the right direction. Its still getting taller which is right pissing me off.

i think halogen is a way-wrong light to use! why not just add some CFLs? p.s thanks for stoppin by my thread! I wanna use LEDS for powersavings, but mixed red/blue DIY panels......

I thank you thescissors for a favorable answer to my Q about getting the LowRyders pregnant. You'd think that it was meant to be; they are living right next to each other and are both the same full size quick growers. They would be a good choice to reproduce. I'll go for it.

Hi soxx16 thanks for visiting. The newer models are higher output meaning the same results can now be had for about half what I spent. Cheers to student life, make the best of your time dewd.
